We offer an affordable and fun alternative to seeing Africa with our Budget accommodated Safari options. In Southern Africa, some of the departures are open to Family Groups with a minimum age of 6 years, where all other safaris offer a minimum age of 18 years old.
Budget Accommodated Trips
Interested in adventure group tours but not in camping? Why not book a budget accommodated trip and still experience Africa with a group of like minded travellers. On the budget accommodated tour you will be sharing the truck, the equipment and the chores with your fellow passengers who have booked the camping option. Each overland truck carries everything needed to be completely self-sufficient.
On our trips we use twin share rooms which you share with a fellow traveller, and there is an option of upgrading to a single supplement. The accommodation is budget accommodation and it can vary from establishment to establishment. We stay in establishments along our routes that specifically cater for overland passengers. Bear in mind many of the establishments in Africa can be very basic and have a great rustic “under African skies” feel.
When partaking in the budget accommodated trips, you will be sitting around the campfire with your fellow camping travellers and enjoy your meals together as a group. All the day to day chores such as cleaning, washing-up, checking security and helping the Safari Cook shop and prepare meals are shared amongst all the passengers. But, there’s still plenty of time for relaxation and sightseeing and itineraries build in chill out time, wildlife spotting and the various activities on offer.
Camping is one of the most fun ways to experience Africa.
Join us on a camping safari - we supply all camping and cooking equipment, you need only supply your own personal items, a sleeping bag and your own sleeping mat. Camping trips require you to help out with all aspects of the trip on a rota basis, so you'll be required to assist with some daily chores.
