Do you and some of your friends wish to tour a fascinating, clean and safe African country, but you don’t know where to start? Why not contact us to arrange an all-inclusive Namibian tour for you?
We have the knowledge of Namibia to arrange a memorable tour for your group – anything from three days to three weeks. There are many different tour options available – from the conventional to the unusual – and we cover the country from north to south, east to west.
We specialise in arranging fully guided lodge tours for small groups (1–7) of relaxed and easygoing friends or family who share the same interests and who wish to travel together at a more relaxed pace, visiting some of the more unusual places and people in Namibia. Only one group
at a time is catered for, so that nobody is a stranger and everybody’s interests can hopefully be accommodated.
The tours are conducted in English, but English does not have to be your first language, as long as we can understand each other. Tours for larger groups as well as self-guided tours can also be arranged and we will make all the necessary arrangements for you – itinerary, vehicle, accommodation, maps etc.
The tours will usually be conducted by Pieter, who has spent the past 35 years in the conservation field in Namibia and knows a fair amount about the local fauna, flora, history and people of the country. In addition to having an honours degree in wildlife management, he is also a qualified NATH (Namibian Academy of Tourism and Hospitality) tour guide and he really enjoys sharing
the beauty and wide-open spaces of the country with our guests. Apart from visiting the well-known places of interest, he also likes to introduce his guests to various aspects of Namibia not generally included in larger coach tours, for instance, a craft tour that includes meeting the crafts people who make local handcraft for the burgeoning tourism industry. There are some very skilled carpet weavers, potters, jewellers, silk spinners, embroiderers, woodcarvers and thatch collectors working all over Namibia and to see them at work is fascinating.
Yet another different tour option is aimed at farmers and people interested in agriculture. It involves visiting various Namibian farmers (mainly sheep, goat and cattle farmers plus a small number of crop farmers) to find out how they make a living under such harsh conditions.
A fair number of farmers now also put up guests in addition to their normal farming practices. Such farms are known as Guest Farms and the accommodation and food is to be recommended. For these visits a stopover of at least two nights is recommended, so that the local personalities can share their special knowledge of the area with their guests.
Not one of the itineraries on our website is cast in stone. Any particular one can easily be altered to suit the guests’ interests and/or requirements by contacting us by e-mail. We look forward to being of assistance to you.
Your tour begins (and ends) when we fetch you from the Hosea Kutako International Airport. You will be assured of a stress-free holiday where all arrangements have been taken care of i.e. transport, accommodation, meals, entrance fees to National Parks and tourist sites, map, water in
the vehicle and VAT – just sit back and enjoy yourself. Not included are alcoholic drinks and other drinks at the table, tips, personal laundry and any optional extras. Optional extras can be arranged at short notice i.e. cruises, dune boarding, flying, gliding, ballooning, fishing safaris etc.
Bon Voyage.
