We are a locally owned and run tour company based in Moshi, Tanzania the home of Africa’s tallest mountain, Kilimanjaro. When arranging your travels here in Tanzania you will communicate primarily with Ambrose, the founder and Director of Materuni Tours. Ambrose was born in the village of Materuni, within the foothills of Kilimanjaro. After starting work as a porter on Mt Kilimanjaro he progressed to become a mountain guide before studying safari guiding and working for several larger companies. After gaining experience in all areas of the tourism industry here in Tanzania, Ambrose decided he wanted to be able to give his customers something different... and so founded Materuni Tours in 2011.
