Welcome to Sikeleli Africa Safaris! Founded and run by the Ponter family, we are a business specializing in bespoke and luxury vacations in sub-Saharan Africa.
Founded by sisters Daniella and Maddelena, together with their father Mark, this Zimbabwean family brings a personal and boutique touch to the African tourism industry. Daniella is our safari specialist, with many years of experience in the bespoke safari industry. She lives in Zimbabwe and is passionate about sharing her love of the continent. Her industry experience includes senior positions in management, marketing and sales with world-renowned operators such as Wilderness Safaris and the Amalinda Collection. Working for these highly regarded operators gave her the insights and skills crucial to crafting exclusive safari vacations. Daniella has the worldwide experience and local knowledge essential for advising on and planning luxury safaris in Africa.
Responsible for general operations, Maddelena works closely with her older sister to ensure that all Sikeleli clients enjoy the very best that Africa has to offer. Like Daniella, Maddie was born and brought up in Zimbabwe. Youngest sister Jourdana oversees and runs the communications aspects of the business. She is responsible, together with Maddelena, for information gathering and website content publication.
Mark too, was born and brought up in Zimbabwe. As the holder of an LLB, he is responsible for all legal and financial aspects of the business.
With offices situated in both Canada and Zimbabwe, the Ponter family has come together to make the Sikeleli dream come alive. We look forward to meeting you!
