FLEET FOOT SAFARIS is a family owned business established in 2002 by founder, Hennie Becker. Setting up a business like Fleet Foot Safaris was a logical choice for the Becker family - we are all avid travellers who love to share unforgettable African travel experiences with clients and friends alike. The very first safari tour Hennie conducted was for a group of Dutch friends / clients spanning 50 days and 8 countries (Tanzania, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Kenya and South Africa)! We love to reflect on the intimate and humble beginnings of 2002 which provided an enriching life experience for all involved. During the past 16 years, Fleet Foot Safaris has accumulated vast amounts of hands-on experience in African safari tours to southern and eastern African countries. We have filled our diaries and memories with close and wonderful encounters with the finest of African wildlife. We have learned to keep beat with the rich rhythm of Africa. We have had life-changing cultural exchanges. Yet, touring Africa can be somewhat of a daunting task, we know that. But we also know that it is the most rewarding travel experience that you’ll probably have in your lifetime. We realise that people are unique. People have very different travel needs and requests. For that reason we have shaped Fleet Foot Safaris to specialise in TAILOR MADE TOURS & SAFARIS.

Company History
Since 1995, the director, Hennie Becker, and family have been involved in the tourism industry in southern Africa. First in the Western Cape then in the whole of southern Africa. This first and successful venture was the setup of a car-hire (Avis franchise), coastal holiday accommodation (Coastal Accommodation) and real estate company (Aida franchise) all-in-one office in Knysna, Garden Route. After selling this core tourism business office in 2002, they moved straight into the safari & tours business. This company, Garden Coastal Route (Pty Ltd.) trading as Fleet Foot Safaris started to specialize in guided tailor-made private safaris to Botswana, South Africa, Zambia and Namibia which we still are known for, amongst other things. During the course of the company development many different kind of tours they offered became popular and destinations kept on adding to. Hence, the acquisition of another travel company, Go Self Drive Tours, made good sense. Fleet Foot Safaris & Go Self Drive Tours are now an one-stop solution for travelers to experience the African landscape to the nth degree, and although they have regular itineraries based on years of experience, they will happily tailor any tour to suit client needs. They strive to provide clients with an unforgettable African experience based on value for your buck.
