Raised in several East African countries, including Tanzania, I Gertjan, always felt a great passion for Africa. At a later age I went on safari in Tanzania and was so captivated by the beauty and diversity of this country that I felt the urge to share this with others. The decision to start a safari company in Tanzania was therefore an easy one, and not much later Ajabu Adventures was a fact.
Ajabu Adventures is based in Arusha, a city bursting with life, and one of the most important tourist cities of Tanzania. It is located below Mount Meru at an altitude of 4,530ft, which makes a temperate climate over the year. Arusha is the starting point for the Northern safari circuit (Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park).
Ajabu Adventures is a family business that has a great commitment to its employees and customers. Our guides (also driver) are professionally educated and are all, fluent in English. The car repair is under our own management and is maintained by a couple of skilled mechanics. The office staff works from the passion of traveling in Tanzania and will be pleased to advise you.
