Our qualified safari drivers are multi-lingual and exceptionally proficient in game spotting with in depth knowledge of all the parks and the reserves. Our guides are knowledgeable on local attractions, cultural and historical background of the various parts of Tanzania and East African culture. There are more than 120 different tribes in Tanzania. You will embark on exciting excursions that allow you to approach, discover and learn about some of the most fascinating aspects our culture. Your guide
Great Pelican Safari guides will ensure that you are always comfortable during your cultural adventures. Prior to your visit you will be briefed on local rules, which need to be respected, and any other information related to your visit. In Maasai and Hadza villages you will have an additional guide, speaking the language, sharing the culture and history of your hosts.
Accommodations
Lodges, hotels, guest homes, and camp sites are available options for your accommodations. Standards differ but we make sure to customize the best alternative according to your preferences, length of stay and budget.
Food
Food is a common denominator in human social activities. Whenever possible, we try to give you unique opportunities to discover traditional cuisine with fresh local ingredients. All meals will be provided during your stay. Alcoholic beverages are available but not always included in the package price.

Community involvement
Great Pelican Safaris’ founder had a vision to establish GPS Foundation as a way to provide to underprivileged children that lived in orphanages. His vision has expanded to health/healthcare, education and creating new projects.
Two percent of our annual proceeds will go to establishing GPS foundation and to continue our support to local orphanages.
