Welcome to Kenya
In ethnic, Kenya is historically a country apart, because it includes people who have come from all over the continent. Contrary to popular belief, these multiple ethnic groups have coexisted peacefully until the settlement, choosing to be complementary rather than opposing. The traditions to each of them persist in the countryside (the barter is still very common). You could be happy if there were some practices that affect the status of women. Clitoridectomy, for example, continues to be practiced by the Kikuyu tribe and some of the north. As the population of the coast is predominantly Muslim, are advised to wear appropriate clothing and not to swim naked. In the city, is also advised women to cover their arms and shoulders with a shawl.
Karibu Kenya all.
