iTravel are a tour operator based in the city of Arusha in northern Tanzania. With our staff having over 40 years combined experience working in Tanzania's safari industry, we pride ourselves on being safari specialists.
iTravel was founded in 2015 by Director and Head Guide, Alfred August, or Freddy as he is known. Originally from a small village near Moshi town, Freddy moved to Arusha in 2006 to train as a safari guide. Having already learned English while at school, he also learned to speak Italian in his early career. Over the years, Freddy has worked as a freelance guide for a number of safari and tour companies in Arusha, before realising his dream of starting his own safari company with the launch of iTravel.
The iTravel team consist of professional safari guides and chefs that Freddy has worked with for many years, with most of the team having worked in the industry for over ten years. This means our team are highly professional and knowledgeable individuals, who will provide a very personal safari experience.
Over a decade of experience working in the safari industry means that Freddy has a wealth of knowledge about the parks and wildlife of the northern circuit, as well as a great network of contacts, which he has used to develop iTravel's package safari tours and tailor-made safari experiences on request.
