Gane and Marshall was founded in 1991 as a small trekking provider specialising in East Africa, with a particular emphasis on Kilimanjaro. The company soon expanded, providing tailor-made safari, beach and adventure holidays to most of East and South Africa, and opening an office in Tanzania.
Today Gane and Marshall arranges holidays to many regions of the world, from the North and South Poles to Indochina, but Africa remains our core expertise.
Gane and Marshall Travel Consultants:
Gane and Marshall is a small company and we aim to provide our clients with a personalised service. Our three travel consultants have been visiting Africa for almost 25 years, and have between them a wealth of experience.
Jeremy Gane, founding director of Gane and Marshall, is also a founding director of UK tour operator Charity Challenge, which organises fundraising events for UK charities. He organised the 2009 Comic Relief celebrity climb of Kilimanjaro, which raised almost 1.5m for charity, and also acted as project manager on the recent Extreme Classroom series of events, as broadcast by the BBC, and organised by Gane and Marshall. Jeremy's main expertise is in walking and trekking holidays, but he also specialises in East African safaris, particularly our unique, light mobile camping safaris.
Clare O'Loughlin, joint founder of Gane and Marshall, has a particular love for southern Africa, especially the remote and exclusive wilderness reserves of Namibia and Botswana. Her specialty is luxury safaris and beach holidays. Clare is always happy to give impartial advice on where to go and where to stay, based on the extensive experience she has acquired over 20 years as a regular visitor to the wilderness parks and luxury camps and lodges of southern Africa especially.
Sarah Williams has over 20 years experience in Africa. She is a specialist wildlife consultant, whose expertise extends beyond Africa to wildlife holidays around the world, whether that's bear-watching in Finland or snow leopard tracking in remote Ladakh. She has a special love for Africa, however, having completed her Game Ranger course in the Kruger, South Africa. Her great passion is the traditional big game safari, but she also manages our wildlife holidays to Madagascar, where she has spent a great deal of time travelling, and our gorilla safari programmes.
