Firefinch Safaris is based in Windhoek, Namibia and is a proudly independent Namibian company registered with the Namibian Tourism Board and Tour & Safaris Association of Namibia. The owner Clive Jones has for 16 years successfully run his first company, before selling it to a big corporation and staying on to run it for nearly another 2 years. Since then, he returned to his routes and together with his wife has successfully founded Firefinch Safaris.
We have dozens of years of experience in planning and organizing safaris to Namibia and Botswana, from well-planned self-drive safaris, camping safaris, fishing safaris, high-end fly in safaris, specialised groups, incentive groups and private guided safaris, we have done it all and have heaps of experience. Travelling around Namibia and Botswana a few times a year, gives us great local knowledge and lets us include destinations off the main tourists’ routes as well. All our safaris are well thought through, and every detail is perfected to provide an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience.
Our state of the art, custom build 8-Seater Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4 all-terrain safari vehicles have been designed and perfected over the years to provide a comfortable ride and safe travels through some of the most challenging terrain. Not only are the vehicles fitted with special Old Man Emu 4x4 Suspension, but all are air-conditioned, have a PA system, have pop-up roofs, and slide down windows for better game viewing and photography. Each vehicle guarantees 7 window seats and has plenty of room to also move around. These vehicles are perfect for small private guided groups or families that need a bit more space and want travel comfortably. For additional safety, all vehicles are tracked by satellite. Real time location and speed is sent to our office every minute of the journey, ensuring a safe journey.
All our private guided safaris are covered by our comprehensive passenger liability insurance for peace of mind, while travelling and we have some of the best cover possible. We do however recommend that each guest takes out a comprehensive travel insurance that covers unforeseen circumstances and medial emergencies.
Our guides are all professionally trained and offer the best local knowledge. Guides must also undergo mandatory first aid training every 3 years to ensure that our guests are always in the best hands while on safari.
