MAWE AFRICAN VENTURES.
The word MAWE comes from swahili language means “ROCKS” It came first on my trip to the Serengeti,actually this was my study tour as I was in the secondary school.Soon as we entered through the southeast entrance of the park heading central Serengeti where by most of the youth hostels are situated,it was just few kilometers away we started to see the clusters of the rocks,Known as the Simba kopjes.My eyes were really kidnapped by the rocks since they made the areas so special and stunning.Sadly,I didn’t get enough time to explore the rocks since the time was so limited for the students.
The years went on and on and that image never gets erased in my mind.Eventually I graduated from my secondary school and I went to the college of tourism and tour guiding.I graduated and I became a safari guide.As a safari guide,I realized there were so many more rocks in the place like no other (Serengeti). During the days of my career,was about a decade before I got an inspiration of starting my own tour company and named it after those rocks,I was always feeling like I’m not complete without going and hanging around the rocks with my clients .

And most of the time we’ve just visited them there was always something special either in them or in the vicinity. Sometimes even there is nothing in them,just seating and discussing with my esteemed dear guests about their formation and origin..

I realized,they were very old granite rocks, even way older than so many others geological features in the East African region..

The rocks holds a lots of spectacular things in the ecosystem of Serengeti,Masai mara and Ngoro ngoro conservation Area. Their the micro habitat and sometimes are used as maternity centers for the big cats of that most successful ecosystem on our planet..
