The Paka People
Even though this is a fairly new company our resources are stronger than many others. From our driver/guides who all have many years experience as both drivers and as wildlife guides, they know all the corners of the country. Many have been a guide for more than 15 years you will see them practically as a walking library when it comes to wildlife, but also challenge them about the flora and fauna and they will surely impress you with their wide knowledge. Behind them we have a well equipped garage and logistics department who ensure your adventure with us will be as flawless as possible..
Behind every successful company there is somebody that has to do the heavy lifting with the official work. Frank – the solid spine of this company take care of our every challenge. His jobs are many, from managing the hotel to moping the office floor. His long experience in the hotel industry as well as his clever skills with the official works makes us wishing he could be divided into more than one person. Frank is a person you can meet anywhere - organizing your arrival, managing The Lighthouse Beach Resort if that is a part of your trip, cooking some of his delicious recipes or just to check on you to make sure you are enjoying your stay.
We are also involved with further brands/establisments;
Selous Wilderness Camp:
The camp is located on the southern shores of the Rufjii River, away from the mainstream safari route. They offer attentive, yet unpretentious personalised service, exquisite dining and fantastic tents. From the tents you can enjoy an amazing view of the Rufiji River and its wildlife.
2 Africa Safaris:
It is the adventures label of Paka Adventures that is focusing more on the experience than the comfort, in order to make you part of the environment that you are in. They offer personal contact and quality trips to all guests, assuring a once in a lifetime experience adapted to your needs and requests.
Lighthouse beach lodge:
The facilities were built with the intention to work as a holiday home for the same couple that started Paka Adventures. The years passed and more family members and friends started to arrive for a visit. The Norwegian couple often ended up sleeping in a tent in the garden so they decided to develop their holiday home to a beach lodge for guests. Today the lodge have 6 different accommodation options right on the south beaches of Kigamboni, outside of Dar es salaam in Tanzania.
