Jewel Safaris are Ugandan based tour operators offering tailor-made Domestic Tour Iteneraries in East Africa
All programs include quality first class hotel accommodations, experienced and knowledgeable Tour Guides, deluxe safari vehicles and transportation, many meals, inclusive sightseeing and admissions and enriching cultural experiences that showcase each destination and make you feel like a local. The perfect balance of included sightseeing, free time and limited optional excursions on each tour, further enhances our commitment to offering a first-class inclusive guided travel experience at a great value.
We (Jewel Safaris) run safaris across the borders (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) with offices and fleet in all countries. Our programs range anywhere from 3 days to 4 weeks with the highlight being Primates and Game. What makes East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) a unique destination is the presence of Big game in the vast savannahs that are linked to the endangered primates in the nearby tropical forests. This combination makes the four countries a one stop center for anyone interested in seeing Big game and primates within a very short time by road and air.
Website itineraries are there for guidance but the biggest percentage of our clients go for tailor-made trips to suite specific budget and needs.
Why Travel with Us
Conservation: Nothing makes us happier than confirming a trip to un spoilt conservation areas. No question, climate change is the biggest problem the world has to deal with and it is not good news for generations a head. Our guests and travel partners contribute to sustainability of these places each day spent there through gate collections, visiting local projects and community interaction while appreciating nature, life and inclusiveness. From experience we believe that client interaction with the host communities, wildlife and sight views creates fond memories that last for the longest time.
Tourism is addictive hence many travelers book with us and millions of other operators. However, we regulate number of visitors to these places especially in peak seasons to limit effects on the popular conservation areas
Local knowledge: Nothing compares to having someone on the ground who has an intimate understanding of the places you wish to visit. This, along with many years of proficiency in the region, will make for a safari of a lifetime. We take pride in knowing that our guests can immerse themselves in the experience that East Africa has to offer with complete peace of mind, in the knowledge that every detail is covered.
Insurance: in addition to a tour operators’ public liability and evacuation insurance covers for our clients, we strongly recommend the purchase of comprehensive travel insurance in case of any unforeseen eventualities.
Small Groups: We have experience in running small group trips and in the past years until now, we deal with university groups (both students’ and alumni groups), so we understand their demands and what it takes to have the right pricing, transport, accommodations and itineraries in general. In some cases, student groups prefer to use buses especially when trips do not involve going out to places with terribly bad roads but we recommend land cruisers due to the nature of our roads. Secondly, smaller numbers in a vehicle, gives clients a better personal touch and access to the guide/s.
