Couldn't be faulted.
We booked Maasai Wanderings through African Encounter who arranged our entire African experience. Maasai Wanderings looked after us on the ground in Tanzania and we could not have asked for more. Our driver was Godwin, whose knowledge, concern (for us and the animals) and humour made our trip one to remember for a lifetime. There were four of us in the party, each with their own 'bucket list' of things we wanted to see. Each of us was able to tick all the boxes. It was amazing how Godwin could deliver us to an exact spot to witness the incredible wildlife. We were able to enjoy so many experiences with no-one else around - it was magical! Maasai Wanderings delivered everything as promised, we were not let down in any aspect. Donna and her team were able to smoothly and professionally handle last minute changes in plan, although I am sure we really put her out in that regard. Our gratitude is immense. Maasai Wanderings are recommended without hesitation.

Brilliant large tick for the bucket list
We arranged our holiday through Holidays Please on line and on the phone. We dealt with Paul Seaman who advised and suggested the itinerary which was a complete success. Maasai Wanderings were our safari company based on Arusha. To say we had a great time would be under selling it. Simon who guided us was unbelievable and at the end of the trip we left him as a friend at Kilimanjaro Airport. His knowledge and uncanny knack of producing the goods was excellent. His care for us, the wildlife and others on safari was outstanding. We had no reason to contact Maasai Wanderings directly other than to commend them and their staff. The staff at Nasikia Migration camp were particularly superb. It would be remiss if me not to mention Expedito, again a friend it was hard to say goodbye to. Couldn’t recommend this business any more. Thank you Maasai Wanderings.

Absolutely incedible safari experience
From the moment we were in contact with Maasai Wanderings to the moment we finished our tour, the service was exceptional. Every touch point of the safari completely exceeded our expectations. Our guide was absolutely fantastic, so generous and knowledgeable. There wasn’t a question we asked that he didn’t know whether it be about the animals, birds or Tanzanian culture. The safari ran seamlessly. All the staff at the camps were so hospitable and welcoming, the safari car was cleaned and spotless every day and managing the itinerary in the initial stages was such an easy process. Everywhere we stayed with Maasai Wanderings was fantastic and every part of the trip totally exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend this incredible experience. You receive 5 star service, facilities and accommodation without the hefty price tag. Thank you Maasai Wanderings for the trip of a lifetime.

First class and an amazing experience!
The service and communication from booking to arrival and throughout our stay from Donna and her team, was first class. We started off in Arusha for 7 days - Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti (and then 7 days in Zanzibar) - and the guides were all perfect - professional, knowledgeable and friendly, particularly important as we travelled with our 3 children, ensuring they were always engaged and involved, with every need taken care of. The highlight was undoubtedly the Serengeti and the excellent Kaskaz camp, where our guide, Frank, was truly outstanding.
We've done a number of safaris and travels across Africa and will be definitely returning to Maasai Wanderings again - and hopefully soon!

Absolutely amazing safaris
We have had the most amazing safari experience with Maasai wanderings.
From the first contact with Donna the communication, information and service was first class.
Nothing prepared us though for the amazing experience we had.
Our guide Amos was brilliant he gave us 6 days of fantastic safaris, his knowledge, tracking skills were amazing and he clearly has a passion for Tanzania its people and it’s animals. Each day we had amazing close up encounters with Lions, Elephants, Leopards and loads of other wild life. We cannot thank Amos enough for giving us such sa wonderful time he is a fantastic person. On safari we stayed at 3 camps in Total One in Tarangire National Park one close to Ngorongoro crater and one in Serengeti park. All were Excellent but the 2 Nasika camps owned by Maasai wanderings were Exceptional, The great staff at these camps went out of there way to make sure we had the most amazing time. The level of service and the genuinely friendly welcome each day made us feel like we were staying with Family.
We are now relaxing in Zanzibar on a fabulous beach and lovely hotel Pongwe beach again organised by Maasai wanderings and it is so relaxing it is the perfect end to an amazing holiday.
Anyone looking for an amazing safari experience i can 100% recommend Maasai wanderings to you All there staff we met were outstanding and they will do all they can to make your holiday fantastic.
You just give them idea of what you like and they put together great packages for You.

Fabulous !
We are now relaxing in Zanzibar after spending 6 nights on safari with MW. From the moment Simon collected us from Kilimanjaro airport late at night we knew we were going to have a great time. His care and attention was amazing. He knew where to look for animals and we saw them all ! He was fabulous with our teenagers and was very knowleagable about the animals . He answered all our questions and made sure we were looked after in all our camps. The whole trip ran seamlessly. Thankyou Simon and MW.

Service that was above and beyond!
We had an unforgettable experience on our safari in no small part to our incredible guide, Kareem. His combination of knowledge of the animals and area along with his attention to detail for customer service was beyond reproach. The entire staff was exemplary and worked tirelessly to make our stay the absolute best it could be. I was incredibly grateful and impressed by the efforts Donna and her crew made to reunite us with our luggage that missed our international connection, having it reach us in the Serengeti in less than a half a day after finally arriving in Africa. I was thoroughly impressed by the entire organization and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.

Amazing safari
Our safari was arranged by a UK tour operator who picked Maasai Wanderings for the Safari part of our holiday. This was an excellent choice.
From beginning to end of our 9 day safari our driver Barake was amazing. His care and attention to making our game drives comfortable was superb. His knowledge of the wildlife and passion for the country and community could not be faulted. Barake's driving and game spotting skills were amazing and he would go that extra mile (literally) to ensure we had great experiences. He cleaned the vehicle every day and made sure we had a supply of chilled water. We have some amazing photos to remind us of our fantastic safari experiences. We would have no hesitation in recommending MW and of course our driver Barake to anyone wanting to have an unforgettable safari experience. Best wishes to Donna and the whole team.

Godwin Ngashway & Clement M'bezi ar experienced, educated guides of animals, plants and the area.
We were a group of 8 with two guides: Godwin Ngushway and Clement M'Bezi. They were very informative and very informative as to the animals, the area we drove through plus the plant life. Our safari was for 9 days in several camps and each one better than the next. Every day was filled with being educated by our two guides as we left Kilimanjaro to northern Serengeti. Stayed in several tented camps and an inn; stopped at a Maasai village to visit a school; traveled Tarangire National Park, Ngorongro Crater and central and northern Serengeti. Along the way our guides were able to spot animals before we were even aware of them; they gave us pertinent information on the habit of the animal or bird; also interesting growth information as to plants and trees. Godwin and Clement worked so well together and between them we looked forward to what we would see and learn about each coming day. They made our trip fantastic. These two gentlemen were a delight to be guided by and an asset to Maasai Wanderings.

Maasai Wanderings - THANK YOU!
Dear Maasai Wanderings:
Wanted to tell you about the wonderful experience I had with my companion during our trip to Tanzania last month. Barb and I worked with Yellow Zebra to craft our ideal safari experience, and Maasai Wanderings was an integral part of our trip.
We started in Arusha, where Jamal picked us up and took us to Tarangire Park. We immediately felt very comfortable with Jamal, who is both very expressive, knowledgeable and funny. He had a wealth of information at his fingertips (in the form of books) throughout our time with him, and was able to answer almost all of our many questions.
Ndovu Camp was an excellent experience, especially at the start of our trip. We enjoyed the food very much, and were pleasantly surprised that Barb was given a birthday cake on our first evening there. Shout out to Nicholas, who is a gracious host. Waking up with 19 wildebeest outside our tent on the far side of the camp was an amazing experience, especially given that we were wakened by soft footsteps at around 4:30 in the morning, and waited with bated breath to see what was outside!
Jamal was an excellent companion on our way to Lake Manyara, prior to which we stopped at a Maasai boma, near Mto wa Mbu, and then rode bikes through a banana plantation to the Lake. Our experience in Ngorongoro Crater was incredible; we were absolutely blown away by the scale of the place, along with the concentration of wildlife.
Leaving Jamal for the Serengeti was bittersweet; we really enjoyed exploring with him and want you to know that we think he is a fantastic guide. Later, we were pleasantly greeted in the north by Hauth, who is a super pleasant, polite and articulate young man. As luck would have it, within two hours of landing, Hauth guided us to a crossing spot where we witnessed an incredible river crossing that left Barb and I speechless. An absolutely unforgettable experience, followed shortly after by a massive rainstorm.
We want to highlight KasKaz Camp as a gem in the middle of the Serengeti. We both think it is an incredible camp, especially with its expansive view to the east. A special thank you to Hassan and Daniel, who are both incredibly friendly, professional, and warm hosts. Hassan has an amazing positive energy that is contagious and genuine. Daniel is a wonderful person; gentle, smart, and just fun to be around in the lounge area. Both are assets to your company. They made our experience that much more amazing. I had the good fortune to take a hot air balloon ride with Hassan one morning, and it is an experience I'll never forget. Barb and I were also moved by the 'sundowner' goodbye experience, the evening before we departed KasKaz for Zanzibar.
The guides and the accommodations provided by Maasai Wanderings and Nasikia Camps exceeded all the expectations Barb and I had for our trip. The hospitality and camaraderie at both camps feels very genuine; neither scripted, nor forced, but very personal. KasKaz Camp, in particular, felt VIP all the way, with attentive staff, and attention to detail. We felt like movie stars!
We will absolutely recommend your company to anyone that asks us for advice planning an African safari. Thank you so much for the professionalism of your staff; our trip would not have been the same without meeting Jamal, Hauth, Hassan, Daniel, and everyone else that is part of your excellent team.
Thank you!
