FABULOUS EXPERIENCE
5/5

I chose CKC Tours because they promptly answered my email requesting information about doing a group Safari. I had a group from the United States whose goal was to experience the famous African Wild life and Beach Safari as well as the Cultural experience and other excursions. As soon as we landed in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, the director of CKC Mr. John Muhoho was there waiting for us. He gave us a warm reception and took us to the Hotel . The following morning he came and gave us a brief on the various excursions for Nairobi and the surrounding areas which were to be done for the week. Mr. Muhoho came on the day of the Safari to provide us with another briefing. The choice of hotels was out of this world, the drivers especially king George are very knowledgeable and drive well. The wildlife experience was awesome. The price was reasonable. I have used CKC for so many years and would recommend it to anyone looking into doing a Safari and other excursions in East Africa

great private safari delivering everything that was promised
5/5

We choose CKC because of John prompt reactions on our e-mails.

We had a 3 day private safari, and especially our driver George made it real pleasure.

We managed to see all animals we wanted to see, amazing how George seemed to be able to find any animal on request: it took him 45 minutes to find mating lions,

Safety, Safaris & Adventure
5/5

We looked at several different options for our photo safari, and eventually chose a one-week tour suggested by John Muhoho from CKC Tours, Travels & Carhire.

We lifted off Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, heading for adventure. Indeed, watching the tiny planes landing on Mara River Airport’s dirt tracks a little while later, we couldn’t help but think of films like King Solomo’s Mines, already feeling like adventurers ourselves.

What followed were seven perfectly organised days in the Mara River Lodge and engaging – if admittedly not quite as dangerous as we felt adventurous, what with the perfect organisation – safaris. As luck would have it, we got to see all of the ‘Big Five’ – elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion & leopard – and even got to watch the migration of zebras and wildebeests over the Mara river, complete with some of the latter involuntarily feeding the crocodiles.

From the lodge itself, we could easily spot hippopotamuses resting in the water and crocodiles basking in the sun, although our sense of adventure and danger was once again foiled by the presence of an electric fence standing between them and us – admittedly an understandable safety precaution. Losing the odd tourist to an angry hippo or hungry croc would probably be bad for business.

All in all, it was a remarkably enjoyable and surprisingly relaxing holiday. Our gratitude goes to John and the Mara River Lounge staff – especially our guide Patrick – for the perfect organisation that made this trip such a wonderful experience.

A wonderful honeymoon in Tanzania
5/5

We had a great experience in July 2014 on the 6-day safari CKC organized for us. John was a great help in getting everything organized and was very responsive to our special requests. Our trip went from Arusha, to Lake Manyara, to Serengeti, and finally to Ngorongoro. Our driver/guide, also named John, was really friendly and always seemed to find the animals before any of the other drivers. The hotels CKC had booked for us were all great – very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the experience immensely. Thank you, John and John.

Better than expected
4/5

We've spent wonderful time in Masai Mara organized by this company. Communication and arrangements were made by email and it worked well. The only thing was that after arrival to the lodge they required some document or voucher which we didn't get from tour operator, however it took only few minutes of waiting and everything was perfect afterwards.

A wonderful family holiday celebrating our 50th anniversary
5/5

I spent two years planning this trip, communicating with John Muhoho frequently through email. We had lived in Kenya in the sixties, so we were trying to recreate experiences for our children and grandchildren. The entire planning experience was an adventure, as we tweaked and adjusted the schedule to work everything in and keep within the time frame of our grandchildrens' school holidays. Everything about the trip--the travel, the hotels and lodges, the driver-guides--was perfect, and we could not have had a better time. The personalization of the service was incredible, as we met with some old students and returned to the schools where we had lived and worked. So this was a very personalized tour, with a lot of interaction. But we started with a schedule put together by CKC and adjusted it for our family. I have no doubt we would have had a similar exciting time without the "tweaks," so I would recommend CKC for the professionalism of his work and his staff as well as the ability to work with a client to plan a perfect holiday.

Customised safari with great guide and wonderful hotels. Great experience with them.

We had a perfect 3 weeks honeymoon experience with this agency. Nothing to regret. They even took care of us when our flight coming back home was overbooking and we had to expend one extra night in Nairobi.

Well organized trip through Kenya and Tanzania
5/5

We travelled as a couple with CKC trekking to Mt Kenya and visiting several National Parks in Kenya and Tanzania. We found CKC through the Internet and contacted them by phone. The guides and drivers were really excellent and we implemented all the plan agreed with the CKC. For us it was a nice surprise because we had had no information before whatsoever what the Company is like. We took this risk and we were very satisfied.

CKC was affordable; we felt like friends instead of clients and enjoyed this great experience
5/5

The director of CKC went out of his way. Even when the Safari was over, he helped us plan the rest of our time travelling independently to Mombasa, Kilifi, Malindi and Lamu. The advice was invaluable. He even met us on our return to Nairobi, and took us to the airport for our flight home to SA. The tour accomodation was superb. I would have liked to stay much longer. I wish the CKC every success.
