Highly recommended!!
I chose this company for the cheapest fare offered. Honestly I was not expecting to receive such a professional treatment. Nelson is very flexible and always helpful with any requests (and we had many!!)
I definitely recommend Focus on Africa!!

Very accommodating
The driver was very accommodating and helpful. He told us all about the animals and did his best so we could get the best view of the animals. Also the meals were very tasty. Overall a very good experience.

Terrible service
This company is lacking service and professionalism. Due to a technical failure, we had to pay the safari in cash - which at first is not a problem at all. However, the staff member took us to distant ATM machine where we had to take cash out. While counting the money, the staff member pulled the money out of our hands! He very aggressively took the money out of our hands. Also, we paid too much and the guy did not give us any change back.
Nelson is in charge of the company but he is barely available via phone or email. They are responding very slowly and they are blaming everyone else but themselves. They offered to have a chat in Arusha, while I was already back in my country.... after that they never handled the situation appropriately... If you can book with a different organisation, please do so!

Awesome Safari for fair and affordable price
Compared to other tour operators, Focus in Africa provides cheap safaris but with very high quality. They replied very fast and clear. We had a great trip. The driver as well as the cook did a great job and we saw a lot of animals.

Honestly fantastic and tour guides were very knowledgeable
Had one of the best times with focus in Africa. Really great value for money, got collected from the airport brought to Nelson’s hostel and was woken bright and early for the long drive to the Serengeti. Had a couple of pit stops along the way the see the wild animals, eat some breakfast and a packed lunch both provided by the company, take photos at view points and to see the Maasai tribe. Throughout the journey our guide was extremely patient with us and gave us loads of opportunities and time to take photos along the way and was happy to answer any of our questions. On arrival to the Serengeti we seen all of the big 5 on the first night. Our guide was very knowledgeable and thought us loads. We later arrived at the camp site. Again everything you could possibly need was provided for us, tents sleeping bags foam mattresses etc. the food provided was some of the best I’ve ever had and there was more than enough for everyone involved. We then woke up early had another game drive in the Serengeti (seeing most animals) before we started our journey towards ngorongoro crater. On out final day, in the crater we seen the big 5 again and even seen lions hunting and a leopard carrying it’s pray up a tree. If you’re considering focus in Africa I would highly recommend them. I enjoyed every second of the trip and would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Best Tour Operator in Arusha
Probably the best prestation for a really fair price if you want to do a Safari or climb Kilimanjaro.
Nelson is a really nice guy and will find a solution for everything you need.
I booked my Safari tour + Kilimanjaro through him - everything was amazing.
Highly recommend

An amazing experience!
Focus in Africa is definitely among the best companies in Tanzania, where you get an incredibility good value for money. At first I was a bit hesitant because the price was so low compared to other tours that I was afraid that it was a scam but at the end of the day, everything was perfect : Nelson is a very reliable person, our guide was awesome, everything was well-organized, the food was amazing ! Thanks a lot to you guys :-)

Very well organised, prompt communication and good service.
We took the four day safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. It was a great experience, very well organised, the pickup and drop-off from the airport and the accommodation and meals the day before and after make it all a very convenient experience. Nelson was very prompt at answering questions on WhatsApp and before booking, he sent us a clear plan and price and it all went ahead as planned.
We saw lots of animals, our guide had unbelievable eyesight and he was very experienced and spotted animals in the craziest places, which was amazing!! We missed him saying a few sentences about the parks to introduce them but when asked questions he was very knowledgeable. The food was amazing, really tasty, fresh and varied. The vehicle was comfortable and there were plugs to charge phones in both the vehicle and the dining halls of camps.
The reasons this review is 4 starts:
The camps were better than expected, clean tents, clean toilet facilities, most had free wifi and it was well organised with the chef and camp staff setting everything up for our comfort. However it would have cost little extra effort to make sure that there was toilet paper and hand soap provided and that the sleeping bags and pillows are washed. They were very smelly. Luckily we had a roll of toilet paper in our bag but I can't imagine what we would have done in the middle of nowhere without any. The washing I think is simple and part of basic hygiene, especially when travelling with a limited amount of clothes, you don't want them to be smelly like the sleeping bags.
There was no wifi or hot water in the hostel for the night before and after. Again, we had a sim card so wifi wasn't a massive issue, but I think most travellers would either expect wifi or expect to be warned to buy a sim card. Same with the cold water. On the safari I understand that it's difficult to provide and we kind of expected that and coped. But it would have been nice to know there is none in the hostel either.
Overall it was a great experience and we would book again without hesitation, but these few things are simple to improve and would have a very positive effect.
