Flexibility and kind responses to our problem
We planned to be on safari in Kenya/Tanzania this September. David Waweru from Frates helped us craft the exact tour we wanted, with an eye to keeping costs down. He was most helpful and flexible even as our dates and numbers changed. Unfortunately, over this summer, I learned I had cancer that required surgery and chemotherapy, so that I would not be able to travel out of country. David helped us get almost all of our deposits returned quickly and without a huge amount of paperwork. I am very grateful to him for all his help and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to create a tailor-made safari experience.

Very attentive to our needs, always on time, safe drivers
We have used Frate Tours on mission trips to Kenya (2012) and Tanzania (2014). Both assignments required the drivers to be with us 24/7. Francis, Nelson, and David were always professional, safe, dependable, and knowledgeable of the areas and peoples we were visiting. In 2012, they took us on a tour of the Masai Mara village and Serenghetti. They have provided all one could expect or require of tour guides. They became part of our team and interacted well will all team members. I would highly recommend their services to anyone seeking tour services.

Private Kenya Tour
Frate tours were wonderful to work with. We created our own itinerary and they provided the transportation and arranged the lodging. While we had specific things to see, our driver added more stops and provided some very impressive game watching. He was also quite watchful for any security issues that might appear, but all was fine. Frate tours was also more economical than other tour operators. As a prior Peace Corps volunteer, I had roamed all around East Africa on my own, but was advised that things were not the same and to get a driver; the advice was most appropriate. Frate was recommended by friends who had frequently traveled to Kenya.

David W. is the Safari Master!!! :-D
Our drivers were always ready whenever we wanted to go. They helped us with our bags and were very contientious with helping us keep up with everything to make sure nothing was lost. Our driver, David was very knowledgable on safari and we saw all the animals we were hoping to see, AND more!! We saw lions, a cheetah with 3 cubs, a leopard, black rhino, elephants, giraffe, zebra, too many to list. It was an AWESOME experience and I feel that David was instrumental in making it that way! A true once in a lifetime experience!!
