Exactly what we wanted, knowledge, experience, confidence, compassion and above and beyond service.
So I have to admit, after traveling over 7000 miles all I could think of was "Please just let someone be there waiting for us". Not only were they waiting for us but that was the start of an absolutely awesome adventure! The service was impeccable at every camp, each one special in their own way. The Elewana Collection is a superb provider of hospitality, friendly staff , luxurious accommodation, and best of all superb locations. From the coffee plantation, to the treetops, the manor house surrounded by jacaranda trees, and the migration camp in the Northern Serengeti all exceeded our expectations. Our guides were a wealth of information, and we appreciated their passion for their country and the gifts that nature has bestowed upon Tanzania.. a special shout out to Moses and his first Pangolin. Thank you Lauren, it was a pleasure working with you and I would certainly use Go2Africa again. Haven't been to Botswana yet!

Wow!
Ramona from Go2Africa was awesome. Her recommendations, insights, and communication were right on. Our transportation and accommodations were top notch. Loved the whole experience. We had to keep pinching ourselves to make sure we weren't dreaming. We saw more than expected and our guide was wonderful. I would use go2africa again and highly recommend them.

It was a good safari expience.
The tour was great. However I do question the drive to Kampala on Friday Oct. 3. We were stuck in traffic for over three hours. We arrived too late to do anything but have a late dinner and go to bed.

Very good service and hassle-free trip
I booked my east african safari trip with Maureen of go2africa. She was the nicest and friendliest of all tour agents i have conversed with online that's why i chose this company. She is very quick to reply via email and all my queries were attended to.
We had a great time in kenya and tanzania!! Trip of a lifetime for me and my husband by far. All arrangements were seamless.
Minor glitches : zanzibar pickup was kind of late and we were worried for a little time that we might not be picked up. We had nairobi layover for 2 days and we feel we could have seen more of the city to maximize stay.

Go2Africa will help you organise the holiday of a lifetime.
We travelled to South Africa with our 16 year old grandson for a special birthday treat. We discovered Go2Africa quite by accident and were so glad we did. Our dealings with Ashley at Go2Africa were excellent. All our queries were answered promptly. The overall cost of the tour that we put together was very good when compared with identical quotes from travel agents in Australia. Nothing went wrong on the whole trip - drivers for our private transfers were waiting to collect us from airports and hotels on time, (although we had to change our transfer time from Tau Game Lodge when we realised we would not get to the airport on time). The safari lodges chosen were fantastic! Pondoro had the most amazing food, Kapama Southern had the most amazing accommodation - would highly recommend the luxury family suites, and at Tau the rooms overlooked the waterhole (very close) and we had amazing sightings of wildlife. They even upgraded our grandson to his own room. All three lodges had excellent food, rooms, staff and game drives. The family room at Cascades, Sun City was probably the biggest disappointment. The room was smaller than the bathroom in our suite at Kapama! Also the water park at Sun City is pretty tame compared with water parks in Australia. However we played golf on 2 days on the Gary Player course, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The cost of a private lesson from the caddies was incredibly inexpensive and our grandson's golf improved a great deal. We would highly recommend Go2Africa to any travellers wanting to plan their South African holiday.

Trip of a lifetime
I booked my tour with Kiah. My trip exceeded my expectations. The price was fair, the lodges AMAZING, transportation timely...the trip was flawless with zero unexpected problems or delays. I spent 8 days on safari on the Eastern Cape at three lodges, all unique. My first lodge was River Bend Lodge. The guide there was knowledgeable about all species including birds and there were many. The best experience there was the elephants. The food there was gourmet and the service outstanding. My second lodge Kariega River Lodge had a traditional feel. The guide there went out of his way to please. The food was good. The setting beautiful. My favorite of the three was Pumba River Lodge. It was a "designer" lodge with an amazing room, unbeatable. However the main reason this was my favorite was the abundance of game....I saw all of the Big 5 and more. It was also a beautiful setting. I would like to commend Kiah for a flawless and wonderful trip. She went out of her way to meet my specific needs.

Best Vacation Ever, thanks to Go2Africa
When I started looking into booking our honeymoon to South Africa, I thought I'd be able to do it myself....I was very wrong. Not knowing anything about Africa, it's very difficult to plan a 2 week trip. I reached out to Go2Africa because a friend of mine used them and loved them...so happy I did!
Mary Keet was our contact, and she was outstanding. After speaking to her and going over with her what I'd already researched about the area, she made recommendations that were SPOT ON. Everything from the hotels at each stop, the safari, the shark dive operator, and literally every single meal - her recommendations were fabulous. She personally made all of the reservations - yes, including lunch and dinner every day - and made great recommendations for activities in-between. She even got us into some fantastic restaurants that, from what I understand, are booked several months out (Pot Luck club - amazing!).
Mary was awesome - great recommendations, very responsive, super patient - I couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you so much Mary for making our honeymoon perfect!!!

Thank you Go2Africa!!!
Sharon Kemp from Go2Africa was awesome! She is one of the friendliest people and her absolute love and passion for Africa is very clear. She seamlessly stepped us through everything, offered some terrific recommendations and answered every question (and there were many) without hesitation. Every detail was perfectly arranged and coordinated. It was so wonderful having to have the chance to meet Sharon during our time in Cape Town. Only problem our "once in a lifetime" trip exceeded our expectations as we are now planning our next visit. Thank you Sharon our trip went off beautifully. It could not have been better.

Visit to South Africa October 2014 - Wonderful Trip
We enjoyed our trip immensely. But we made clear that we didn't know the areas we were going to and I think our travel agent could have helped us out a bit.
ILIOS is the group that was used for our guide and transfers. They were all knowledgeable, punctual, thoughtful and professional.
Cape Town was beautiful. The hotel was very nice, big rooms and what a VIEW! Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit every morning just got our taste buds popping. But as much as we enjoyed the hotel since there was not restaurant or bar at the hotel, I think for us, 2 women traveling alone, we would have enjoyed a place closer to restaurants. Maybe on the coast by the V&A wharf, not sure how much those places cost but would be something if I go back I would look into. We were there 3 days but personally, I think Cape Town could easily have been done in 2 days.
I can't say enough about the Safari and Lion Sand's River Lodge. Staff unbelievable, the rooms were huge, food amazing and again what a view, giraffe outside our deck on the first day! We saw all the Big 5. We had early wakeup call off by 6 am each day, we stopped in the morning for a coffee break. Each place our guide picked for a break had a great view, sometimes at the river and others in open plain One morning we had surprise full breakfast by the river! After breakfast we would go out again until about 11 am. We could relax have lunch, watch the wildlife off our deck which was right by a river. The afternoon around 4 we would go back out again, we loved the tracking and off roading. We would stop about 7 pm for a happy hour, Gin and Tonics, wonderful snacks and to watch the sun set. Back later that night for a lovely dinner. I must give a big shout out to Eddie, our tracker, and Landon, our guide, they went above and beyond for us during our stay. Our we absolutely had all our needs and expectations met at Lion Sand’s River Lodge.
Then the last 3 days and this is where we felt our travel agent failed us. We went to a very nice hotel because there was problem with us getting a flight out. The hotel was beautiful, there was a restaurant at this hotel but the food was so-so and again this was out in the middle of nowhere. It was too cold to swim and there was nothing for us to do. But luckily we were there only one night.
The next two nights was off to Zambia and Islands of Siankaba, we were so excited about going to Victoria Falls. Our hotel, Islands of Siankaba, was wonderful, we were on an island on the river! So we were ok with the isolation at this location. Staff was so friendly, food great so fresh. Several things to do on the island and in the evening we would go out on the river in a pontoon boat and have drinks, appetizers and watch a group of hippos and the sunset. Thank goodness we had this wonderful place because the Victoria Falls was such a disappointment! We were there in the dry season and there is really NO Victoria Falls on the Zambia, no one told us this. There was the opportunity to go to the Zimbabwe side which seemed to have some falls, an extra excursion we would have gladly paid for if we had known but we didn't know! We were leaving the next day so we couldn’t book it.
So maybe we can't blame our travel agent, maybe we should have done our own research but is that not why you hire a travel agent? Since you have never been in the area and don't know anyone that has been in the area before, is that not why you hire a travel agent? Lesson learned . . .

Piece of Mind on a trip far from home!
When we decided we wanted our honeymoon to be in South Africa, I didn't know where to start. Neither my husband nor I had ever been that far outside of the US and the skeptical and shocked faces of our friends and family when we told them about our plans were starting to make us a bit apprehensive! I stumbled upon Go2Africa after countless hours of scouring the web for reputable travel agencies that were willing to work within our budget. Several agencies had actually told us it was not possible to honeymoon in Africa with the modest budget we had provided. Within only a few hours after my initial inquiry to Go2Africa I received a detailed email with suggestions for the most ideal destinations for our price range, activities that would meet our interests, and luxury-on-a-budget lodging for our honeymoon! They also made sure to ask us exactly what we were interested in doing on our honeymoon so that they could tailor the agenda to our personalities. They entire experience start to finish was incredibly customized and during almost a year of planning they were ready to help every step of the way - even offering to assist with restaurant reservations. We really had to put full trust in their agents to book our flights, our hotels, our transfers, and daily activities. They put together the perfect 12 day honeymoon and every single detail went as planned. The best part of their service was the piece of mind that we had someone looking out for us while we were so far away from home. When we arrived in Africa after 19 hours of travel, we found out that our bags had never left the US. We immediately contacted Tanya at Go2Africa and she not only tracked down our bags but she even arranged for them to be transferred to our next destination in Cape Town. We enjoyed 2 days in Zimbabwe (taking an elephant back safari and visiting the beautiful Victoria Falls) and found our luggage waiting for us in our room when we checked in to Welgelegen guest house in Cape Town! Our Go2Africa agent made sure to check in with us every step of the way and made sure to rearrange and rebook our activities when weather wasn't ideal. To top it all off, she made sure everyone knew we were on our honeymoon and had personalized notes and gift baskets at every hotel we checked in to. Booking our trip through Go2Africa was the best decision we could have made. Our trip to South Africa was life changing and we know we'll be back to this beautiful country - when we do we'll absolutely be contacting Go2Africa to make all of our arrangements!
