Outstanding Attention to Detail
5/5

From initial contact through the final drop-off at the airport, Safari Makers provided outstanding service.
Our driver, Joseph Saleko listened carefully to our desires and tailored each day to provide the maximum experiences. The Wilderness camps we stayed at were ecologically friendly, but catered to our every need. Beds were clean, fresh, and comfortable. Food was plentiful, nutritious, made use of local produce, hot, prompt, and delicious. All service was given with friendly concern for our comfort. Early mornings were no problem, and we loved sitting at the campfire gazing at the stars listening to the animals nocturnal activity. Joseph had excellent English, and knew each animal and botanical feature extensively. I loved that he gave information when it was requested, but didn't talk our ears off. We had such a wonderful time. I have no hesitation in recommending this company for anyone looking for the trip of a lifetime.

Excellent safari at a reasonable price.
5/5

I recently returned from an excellent 8 day safari to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park with Safari Makers Ltd. From the start, Jane in the office was most helpful and quickly responsive organizing a tenting/lodging experience that fit our schedule and needs, all at a reasonable price. This included all arrangements following arrival at Kilimanjaro airport through return to the airport. It more than met my expectations.
Our driver/guide, Ayubu, was also excellent; informative, a friendly traveling companion, safe driver, and eagle-eyed spotting game. I suggest requesting him for your adventure.
I would recommend Safari Makers Ltd if you are looking for a personalized trip of a lifetime.

The review below is the personal opinion of Judy W and not that of SafariBookings.
In panic mode! No response! No Informaion!
2/5

I worked with Barbara over email to organize a custom safari for my family this August. We sent nearly $50,000 to them 10 days ago with no response. Finally, I got though to their office on Friday and was informed that the owner Barbara has passed away and that the co-owner Victor is in the Hospital. The lady could not give me any other information.

Very professional, responsive and responsible
5/5

We booked a 4 day safari (Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro) and a 3 day Mt. Meru climb with the Safari Makers Ltd. All of our trip from the first contact a month prior to our trip to our departure was very professionally organized and communicated. Ezekiel Shayo did everything to include our preferences and wishes in the programme and communicated everything in a perfectly clear and accurate manner. The guides, drivers, cook all did a great job. We would specifically like to stress agency's readiness to solve any unexpected issues that might occur during our trip (when in Africa, expect the unexpected :-)). In a nutshell: highly recommended.

We found it really easy to tailor the safari we wanted with Safari Makers. Jo was really responsive with information via email. When we arrived in Arusha, our guide was on time to pick us up and everything went to plan. I would definitely recommend the company.

Amazing! Experience of a life time!
5/5

WOW! What an experience, one we will talk about for a long time. We saw a lion caching its dinner and cheetah eating it's. We saw the big 5 ones and more. A wide range of animals, some very close, close enough for selfies!. We saw, elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, zebras, leopards, wilder bests, cyber cat and many more. The huge number of pelicans at Lake Manayara was a breathtaking site. The dik dik was cute!

We are a family of 5 and went on a 5 day Safari, which included, Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. We also had a day in Arusha and a day at Merangu at the base of Kilamanjaro. We were very keen on seeing the wildebeest migration and at the advice of Johnny; we stayed in the Central Corridor of the Serengeti. The drive from Central to the Northern Corridor was awesome, the scenery kept changing.

It was very difficult decision to choose a Company but after many e-mails with Johnny, I decided to go with Safari Makers. He was very patient and helpful; I felt he was open and honest and helped to tailor our package.

The price we paid was very good value for money. We had lunch provided for every day which was very filling. The whole safari, end-to-end was very smooth. My daughter's flight arrived couple of hours earlier than ours, Abdul was very helpful and arrived early to meet her then waited for us.

If I was going again, I would avoid Ngorongoro Crater, it's over rated, expensive, crowded and you can't get close to the animals. It felt like West midlands (UK) Safari park with a different scenery.

The guide (Abdul) was very knowledgeable and pointed out animals to us. He worked very hard to get us to see what we wanted, specially the black Rhino and the wildebeest migration. He was a very safe drive and respected the animal, only keeping to the authorised route. We needed the washrooms quiet a lot and Abdul was very helpful, we did not have to check tyres! A HUGE thanks to you Abdul for making it a such an enjoyable experience.

In conclusion, an excellent experience, well organised (thanks Johnny), very good value for money, I shall certainly be recommending it to my friends and families.

Great safari with very knowledgeable guide
5/5

I learnt about Safari Makers through Lonely Planet when I was shopping for a safari. They answered the phone and I talked to the owner Victor three times three days in a row. He answered my questions and then I spoke with Jo who covered the business end of things and we were able to organize a custom made safari focusing on Serengeti National Park. We booked a 7 day safari and had a great guide, Costa (Simba) who knew everything about the animals and was the president of the guide union in Tanzania. He was a font of knowledge and very personable. The safari was fairly priced and we got great accommodations and the food was good. Was always comfortable. I feel you can completely trust Safari Makers to provide you with an unforgettable and comfortable safari; you won't be disappointed.
