Wonderful service, made my 9 year old sons' first safari a dream come true.
5/5

I lived in Tanzania for years, but having left 10 years ago, I needed to be led through the whole process. In the end, Catherine at Java Safaris did all our bookings and organised everything perfectly for us. Catherine suggestd various options, and after we had booked, we changed it all again, and she seamlessly made the alterations and changed the routes for us.

Our safari started in Arusha, where we were met by our lovely driver Hussein. We went to Tarangire first, 3 adults and 3 under 10's. The vehicle was comfortable, with a small fridge, pop up roof, power points to charge cameras and videos. The driver guide was hugely experienced, spoke excellent English, and found us the best that could be found in Tarangire National park. he was very sensible about how long the children could cope in the car, and was very sweet with them, explaining things in a way they could understand.

After 2 nights we went to Ngorongoro. Ngorongoro was spectacular, and again Hussein was brilliant. He found us some rhino, 26 lion in a day, and a visit to the Masaai village where my son got to do some Masaai jumping. He was knowledgeable and shared his knowledge freely, and was extremely kind - at the end of our safari , having had such a great time my son cried bitterly and announced he wanted to be a driver guide when he grows up. Java Safaris, and cathering in particular, really get this right. She is professional, organised, interested, adviseswisely, and enjoys the pleasure your safari brings to you as her client. I dont think you can really ask for more.

Java Safaris
5/5

My daughters, 9 year old grandson and I recently had the privilege of going on safari in Tanzania, and were so amazingly fortunate to have had our trip organised, with incredible attention to detail, by Java Safaris. This began when we first contacted the company, we were given personal attention by Catherine, one of the directors of Java Safaris (who is hugely knowledgeable about East Afica and the magic and wonders it had to offer) she made helpful and constructive suggestions about the places we visited, the accommodation we stayed at, that would meet our expectations. Communications with Java Safaris were responded to instantly, and all our queries etc. were dealt with comprehensively and sensitively - no small achievement when catering for a party aged between 71 years and 9 years. The advice we received was spot on, which resulted in our trip far surpassing all expectations. From the transfers from airports to accommodation both on Safari and on our extended beach trip to Zanzibar, the service was faultless. The safari tour itself was truly magnificent ( I have been on several safaris in the past with my late husband, and none of them could hold a candle to the superb tour we experienced this time) The safari vehicle itself was large, comfortable and with every amenity and extra one could wish for. The driver guide was a charming and knowledgeable man, whose knowledge of the tribes and folk lore in the areas we visited ie. Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater ( the Jewel in Tanzania's Crown) and love of conservation and above all the animals, was inspiring. The tour was an education in itself, and needless to say we saw the The Big Five. It was a trip we will always remember. I must also mention the wonderful Blue Safari arranged for us in Zanzibar, we spent the day on a Dhow seeing the marvels of the ocean, including Dolphins! Thank you so much Java Safaris for making our trip such a joy and so memorable. We will book another wonderful trip with Java Safaris next year in Kenya. Thank you guys you are the best of the best. Anyone who wants to go on Safari in East Africa can do no better than with Java Safaris.

My company uses Java Safaris on a regular basis to handle bookings for our clients and I have been extremely pleased with them. They are fast, efficient and have always looked after our clients in the most professional manner. I would not hesitate in recommending them for any safaris in East Africa.

Wonderful Trip
5/5

We went as a group of friends on safari to Tanzania specifically to go and see the migration in the Serengeti as I had been on safari before but never seen this phenomenon. Java Safaris had been recommended to me by some friends who had travelled with them before and rated them very highly.

We were a group in our 70's so had quite a few concerns about how we would manage but we need not have worried as every step of the way we were so well looked after. So much time was spent asking questions and the team at Java were patient and so knowledgeable before the trip. They put us in a really luxurious lodge right up near the Mara river and we were treated like royalty with nothing being too much trouble. We had a fabulous guide who had the patience of a saint and resulted in my experience of three separate wildebeest crossings as well as lions, cheetah, leopard, buffalo, elephant and much much more.

I would recommend Java Safaris in a heartbeat for their knowledge, understanding and professionalism.

Great Experience
5/5

After an unfortunate situation with another safari company, we had our plans fall through less than two weeks before we planned to arrive in Tanzania. We had to plan another safari on short notice; Java saved the day.

First, Java's response time was great. They immediately responded to emails, answering any and all questions we had. Second, they were very knowledgeable. Not only did they have a good sense about accommodations and pricing, they were also aware of the best locations for game viewing during the time period we would be in Tanzania. Third, they were flexible. Due to some preferences for game viewing, as well as cost restraints, Java tailored the safari to fit our wants and needs. Fourth, they made the process very easy. Within a few days, we had the entire trip booked with little headache on our end. Lastly, they were simply a pleasure to work with. We work in a client-drive industry, so we can appreciate when a company puts its clients first. Java did that for us.

The result was an incredible safari. Upon arriving in northern Serengeti, we were met by our safari guide. They knew it was our preference to get in as much game viewing as possible, so the guide was ready with a packed lunch so that we could start the safari immediately. We were also able to dictate the pace for the next few days. Java had encouraged us to visit this area of the Serengeti to see the migration across the Mara river. They could not have been more right. We saw three crossings in three days! Incredible. The guide was great, and the accommodations were very comfortable. Java organized a second flight for us to Ngorongoro Crater instead of requiring a long drive, again helping us get in as much game viewing as possible. There, we had another knowledgeable guide and comfortable accommodations. Java arranged for the guide to transport us to Tarangire. We could sit back and enjoy the experience because we knew every aspect of the trip had been taken care of. Finally, the guide drove us back to where we were staying in Arusha, making the transition between the four locations seamless.

It was a wonderful trip. We highly recommend Java.

Trip of a lifetime
5/5

Catherine I know this is late coming but I just wanted to let you know what a fantastic time we had on our trip.
Everything went off very very smoothly – the organisation was wonderful.
Our driver, James was absolutely fabulous – his knowledge that he shared with us on safari was the best.
I did not realise until we got home the precautions- he quietly took without explanation so we were not aware - to keep us safe.
Everything you did and James did was amazing. Many, many thanks
This is coming from one person who did not want to go at all!!
Absolutely loved it, felt safe at all times.
Thank you all so much.

Lyn and Peter Sparks.

A 'Once in a Lifetime' African Adventure
5/5

I'd known about Java Safaris for quite some time, and was dying for an excuse to book a trip through them! Initially I wanted to go to South Africa, but after a little research and recommendation, we ended up at the Victoria Falls, on the Zambian side. (Livingstone) Catherine Lloyd did it all! From the airport transfers to the hotel bookings, including all the necessaries in-between, she carefully ensured that our African Adventure would be effortless all the way. The Royal Livingstone Hotel (Catherine's recommendation) was divine, and perfect for our family's stay. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest Java Safaris to anybody wanting to book an African trip, and in fact, can't wait to plan my next one with them!

Trip of a Lifetime. Wedding, Mountain and Beach
5/5

Having just arrived back in Canada last week, I am ready for Tanzania again. My new wife and I began planning a trip last year, to hopefully get married in Tanzania. When we contacted Java Safaris they took all our needs into consideration. From arranging our marriage in Arusha National Park, to climbing and sucessfully summitting Mount Meru, to our wonderful Honey moon relaxation in Zanzibar, Java Safaris excelled at it all. Our wedding was a dream come true, attention to detail in every aspect of the trip was far above my expectations. Catherine was such a great help with the costing of the complete trip and not to mention the endless research for the perfect Honeymoon spot. My thanks to everyone at Java-Safaris for the commitment to excellence in all respects.
This was my 4th trip to Tanzania and probably the most memorable trip I have ever taken anywhere in the world, bar none. To see some pics of our great experience go to the Java-Safaris Facebook page. www.facebook.com/javasafaris. Thank you Catherine and the whole crew for such an amazing experience. We look forward to our 5 year anniversary trip in 2021!!!

Great followup, lots of ideas and suggestions, personal attention to details, cared about our needs.
5/5

My daughter and I were traveling to Africa for a mission trip bring thousands of donated shoes. We needed lots of help fitting in some game viewing and our need to be at a local school for our shoe distribution. They made it all fit: giving us great guides, wonderful and on time transportation options, and selected a fabulous lodge to do a short safari.....had a totally amazing time together and shared a tent which still gave us each some privacy while being together...a dad's dream trip. Thanks JAVA, I'll do it again some day. Rich Rosenberg USA
