Fantastic experience, would go with this tour operator and guide (Jackson) again.
The company is very professional and their guide was superb. He has eagle eyes and went out of his way to find and show us the big-5. Very helpful and supportive.

Very good
After several emails with George we decided to rely on him for our safari. George organized a large 5 day safari Lake Manyara-Serengeti-Ngorongoro. We have to thank John our prepared and professional driver / guide and with a perfect Italian he explained everything we asked and guided us in the savannah with great skill he showed us all the Big Five. Thanks John, you're the best we could have. We advise everyone to go on safari with this company.

wonderfull experience with Kilidove Tours and Safari
Me and my girlfriend just came back from a 4 days safari, 2 days serengeti np and 1 day ngorongoro crater. Our impression was very good, our guide was very professional and expert about many things, he was ready to answer every question we asked and showed us as much as possible. Mawe tended camp was just stunning, very private, with good facilities and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful too. I would go back tomorrow if I could.

Feel the Serengeti, and Nature
The owner of this business is a one of a kind gem, young, listens well, energetic, and knows the Safari business well. I have been on Safari in Tanzania 10 or more times, as well as other countries. His drivers know your itenerary, and often stop for things not expected that you are interested in. He knows every hotel, and every room. His cars are in great condition and he will help you decided what kind of Safari, and what kind of hotels, and cars. But if you have a favorite, he knows them too. We had a KLM flight delay, followed by an unexpected trip through Istanbul. We thought the Safari in Tarangiri, Serengeti, Manyara, and Ngorongoro crater was NOT going to happen when we found ourselves 3 days late. George Joseph, the owner, had spoken and emailed often enough that he re wrote our adventure. We wanted to camp in the Serengeti and 5 star hotel some nights. We did it all. Not one bad thing to say, and in my 25 years of time spent in Africa he nailed a perfect trip. His prices are moderate, but his quality is high. KILIDOVE is the best. The camp experience was in Nakasia and Tarangeri. We had Hyenas around our tent one evening, and woke up to 4 giraffes eating near the front door. Stork, and other birds flew into the area all the time. The hotels we stayed in at Manyara and Ngorongoro were breathtaking, the rooms overlooked the lake and crater. The food was great. Box lunches were very good, often way too much food. We had night skies that you wouldnt get in any city, and saw the big 5 in one day. The drivers are knowledgable, and often offer a track off the beaten path littered with other Safari cars. We saw Cheetah, Lions, and Leopard all in one trip. The lion kill of a warthog was, well, its Africa and exciting to see nature throught the eyes of the animals. We saw birds, snakes, wild dogs, and too many other animals to name. The quality starts at the top, George took our disaster and turned it into the best vacation Ive experienced in Africa. After we met him, I knew that we would be friends for a lifetime. I still write, and he still answers. Ask him about his family and go to see them if you want to top off a trip with a memory that you will NEVER forget. I am forever greatful for his positive way in approaching his work, family, and life. The driver we had was Bonaface, and he has eagle sharp eyes. He spotted animals and birds, knows their body language and habbits. He was a pro in every sense of the word. He also made time for us to be able to do some shopping, and last minute things we wanted to see. But, we didnt stop there, we went on a 3 day Zanzibar excursion. I was in Zanzibar 5 years ago on my own with the wife. This time, we handed him the reigns, and we saw more and did more in 3 days than the week we had 5 years ago. He knows this business. Im open to questions, photos, anything you need to be sure that you get the wild or tame experience you want in East AFRICA. Not one thing to wish I saw or did. We spent 6 nights and 7 days, all park fees included. The tents were luxury tents with hot water and all, and Lions walking around your vehicle will get your adrenalin flowing. No car malfunctions or break downs, lots of bottled water for safari, just about perfect.

Excellent company for safari!
We found this company over the internet and wrote to them. I had my flights to Tanzania booked and I needed a company to arrange the land portion but our trip but it had to fit with our flights. The land portion consisted of a 6 day safari plus 3 days in Zanzibar. Kilidove responded to my email immediately and I have been super happy with their service...from start to finish.
The Managing Director, George, responded to my email immediately and was very prompt with all of his correspondence (and believe me, I sent him a ton of emails asking him a million questions). He was patient and provided all the information that I asked. He revised the itinerary for me until I was perfectly happy. George arranged everything - the hotels, internal flights, and transportation to/from the airport/hotels....we didn't need to do a thing. He made our holiday totally carefree. He is a real asset to the company.
Our guide for the safari was Joshua and he was fantastic. Professional, on time, easy to get along with, and knowledgeable. He driving was wonderful (we saw other companies speeding). He picked us up at the airport and we were in his very capable hands for the 6 days of our safari. Don't forget to tip the guides as they do such a good job. We felt totally safe and we had a magical safari.
We were lucky that we didn't have a flat tire (that could happen to any jeep) but our jeep was in good shape which was a relief. I mention this because we saw a few other companies that were broken down....and you don't want to waste time trying to get your jeep fixed.
We chose to wire the money for the trip to George and, to be honest, I was a little nervous doing this but everything was easy and went perfectly.
Overall, I would highly recommend this company!!

Picking a good tour operator is important. Ngorongoro crater is pretty open, so its easier to see safari vehicles conglomerate together. But if you're in the other parks, an experienced safari driver is highly recommended. Within 3 hours of one park, by God's grace (and we attribute this to prayer!), we say 2 sets of lions eating zebra, wiildebeast, and saw a lionness kill another wildebeast! We met a group that evening that didn't see any lions! We highly recommend Kilidove Tours. His team is not only highly knowledgeable (and they teach you their wisdom!), the owner grew up as an orphan and supports 4 - 5 orphans in their schooling! So you're not only getting the best tour company, but supporting a great organization. Its important, and you'll see this, that the operator understands the animals habits and how to maximize your photography experience.

Sustainable Safari Operator in East Africa
My partner and I are seasoned travelers, having explored much of Africa, particularly African safaris. This year marked my second visit to Tanzania, with my first trip being in 2016 when I toured the southern circuit, including Ruaha, Selous, and Mikumi, with Kilidove Tours and our incredible guide, Joseph. After a few years, we returned for an epic 20-day journey through East Africa. We began in northern Tanzania, visiting Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Natron, and Serengeti. From there, we crossed into Uganda for Gorilla trekking in Bwindi, ending the trip in Kenya with visits to Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli.
Thanks to the exceptional planning by Lisa and George, our trip was flawless. To our delight, we were once again guided by Joseph, whose unparalleled skills in spotting wildlife and navigating the parks truly impressed us. His passion for sustainable tourism and love for his country were evident throughout the journey. In Uganda, we were accompanied by Moses, a knowledgeable and storyteller who made the experience even more memorable. We’re already planning to return to Uganda to explore the other parts. Kenya, did not disappoint, with James as our guide. His professionalism, extensive experience, and deep knowledge made for an extraordinary safari.
The safari vehicles across all three countries were in pristine condition, almost brand new. It's clear that Kilidove Tours has made thoughtful investments in ensuring a comfortable experience. All interregional transfers, via Coastal Aviation, AeroLink, and Kenya Airways, were smoothly arranged, ensuring we wasted no time during our travels. Flying in small planes allowed us to enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the landscapes we were exploring.
One of the standout aspects of Kilidove Tours is their commitment to sustainability. George shared their many initiatives aimed at leading the way in conservation and responsible tourism. We noticed these efforts in various ways—there was hardly any plastic packaging at the places we stayed, the reusable water bottles came with a meaningful backstory, and the guides were meticulous in managing waste. It was inspiring to see how developed their sustainable practices are.
The accommodations were perfectly curated; we stayed at Mawe Lodges, Bwindi Gorilla, Heritage Lodges, and Elewana in Amboseli—all top-notch choices. We wholeheartedly recommend Kilidove Tours to anyone traveling through East Africa. They provide incredible value for money, and the experience is nothing short of exceptional.

Unforgettable safari in Tanzania
18-day friends safari and 4-day stay in Zanzibar.
The Kilidove team knew how to listen to our wishes and we made a wonderful trip, unforgettable and probably one of the most beautiful for me.
I want to thank Richard, our guide, for his kindness, his professionalism, his patience, and his continuous good humor. We have seen, thanks to him, an incalculable number of animals, and in particular leopards, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, etc ...
Many thanks also to Mathias, our smiling and kind cook chief who has been able to prepare very good food despite sometimes difficult conditions.
I also want to thank Habib, our guide in Zanzibar for his good mood. He was able to share a little of the history and traditions of his island despite our short stay.
Asante sana also to all the team Kilidove, and a special mention to Mylène, for their availability and their kindness.

Wonderful experience
We did the 10 day Northern Migration tour. This was our first trip to Africa and Kilidove proved to be a perfect choice for our Safari. Everything flowed smoothly, from my first contact with George to book the tour until our farewell to Max at the airport. Our guide, Joshua, was personable, knowledgeable and excellent at finding animals. We saw two herds of wildebeest cross the river and also saw a large number of other species, averaging 30+ different species per day. Joshua was a very good driver and we felt safe with him at all times. The accommodation and meals were all of high quality. The vehicle was comfortable and we had no mechanical issues despite the challenging terrain. Our Safari exceeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to use Kilidove again.

Excellent, very uncomplicated and easy-5*
Me and my husband were looking for a Safari Operator, which offers a mid-range safari & covers all the National Parks in the north of Tanzania. Therefore we used safari bookings.com. This is how we found Kilidove Tours with lots of good reviews. Finally we booked the "7-Day Best of Northern Tanzania Safari" via George. One of our best decisions!!! Everything went very smooth: he answered all our questions and also the payment went without any troubles.
In particular we loved our driver/guide Joshua! He is such a nice person with a heartly laugh. It was such a pleasure to spent the 7 days with him. We felt always very safe in his Jeep, because he is really a good driver. Furthermore, he knows sooo much about the animals and plants. Moreover, we were also talking a lot about Tanzania in general, the education, the Masaai people, the government...
We are also very satisfied with the chosen accommodations like the Mawe Tented Camp in Serengeti or Eileens Tree House. At Ngorongoro Crater we were very lucky and were upgraded so that we could stay dirctly at the rim of the crater-really fantastic view.
Altogether: We can highly recommend Kilidove Safaris and would also choose this Operator again and again. Joshua, see you one day again. All the Best!!! By the way, when will you pick us up after breakfast tomorrow ;-)))
