Excellent
5/5

Very good service. We would highly recomend to travel with this agency. Both guides were great and we were happy to see the largest gorilla family just two meters from us. The food and stay was excellent, including the service. The only thing was that it was holiday one of the days and most of the roads in Kigali was closed. Therefore we couldn't see the viewpoint, neither the memorial center or handicraft market as purposed. Though, the guide took us to another place instead so thats ok.

great travel to the Gorillas at Bwindi impenetrable forest
5/5

I did a 3 day trip to the gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable forest (coming from Fort Portal and travelling back to Kampala). I did arrange everything in advance with Daniel. The email correspondence was very helpful. Everything was arranged perfect.
Moses my driver was absolutely great. He is a very skilled, calm and punctional driver and managed that I arrived at the airport just in time throug a terrible traffic between Kampala and Entebbe. He stopped always when I wanted to do a photo. He answered all my questions about Uganda. He is a very pleasant person
For the Gorilla trecking it is absolutely necessary to wear good trecking shoes. The trails are very steep and slippery.

Awesome!
5/5

We have just finished a 3 day safari organized by Daniel, but our chauffeur was fantastic Moses!

Murchison Falls will have your mind blown away, descending into the Nile river, which with its crocs and hippos was in full splendour! The game drive through the park gives you the opportunity to view an immense variety of game but our highlight was the leopard!

I would recommend Daniel and his team for a safari at any time of the day!

Great Tour, Great Itinerary, Great Guide
5/5

Two of us signed up with Maranatha tours with the primary goal of seeing Mountain Gorillas in Uganda. We accomplished our goal and had a great experience while in country. Bwindi is some distance from Entebbe/Kampala, where we landed, and so we started the adventure with a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing across the equator along the way. Our driver/guide filled us in on the areas we passed through - the people, the geography, the history, the industry, the politics, etc. We enjoyed a nice boat ride, game drive and vistas while visiting the park. Our path to Bwindi from there took us through different sectors of the park and various low-travelled areas, which lead to additional animal sitings and views of the countryside. The experience in Bwindi was fantastic, and though we had quite a tough hike to reach our designated gorilla family, we did meet them and spend some time observing the group.
Pre-covid, we had planned to go from Bwindi to Volcanoes in Rwanda, for a golden monkey trek and departure from Kigali. Due to travel restrictions, we ended up trekking to see golden monkeys in Mgahinga National Park in Uganda. We also successfully tracked a golden monkey group and had a great experience there. The primary downside was the length of travel to get from there back up to Kampala/Entebbe for departure. We did break up the trip with a stop overnight in Mburo national park. We had a lovely evening and game drive the next day before making our way back to the city for departure.
All in all, Daniel put together a fantastic itinerary. All of the accommodations were excellent, and the food was fresh and tasty. We particularly enjoyed the staff and chef and Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge in Bwindi - very friendly, extremely accommodating, and delicious meals! Our guide John Bob was friendly, prompt, and very knowledgeable. He told us some great stories and really gave us a great feel for his country, the people, and the animals. He is also a great driver and put in a lot of miles!
Overall we had a wonderful experience and Daniel, John Bob, and the team at Maranatha did an excellent job with the itinerary and travel arrangements. Everything went off without a hitch (including the additional Covid testing requirements), and we had a fantastic experience!

A wonderful experience
5/5

From our first contact with Daniel through to the three days we spent with Gavis, our guide/driver, we were well looked after and provided with a professional and friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble for Gavis. He was knowledgeable and very attentive to our needs. The drive through Rwanda and Uganda was spectacular and Gavis a very safe and careful driver. Our day in Bwindi with the Gorillas will be a treasured memory for the rest of our lives. Thanks Daniel and Gavis.

Marvellous first safari, first trip in Uganda
5/5

The agency was recommended by family member's. They made 2 safaris with them. So I contact Daniel by Email to construct and book my own solo safari. The communication was very easy with Daniel notwithstanding my poor English. The organisation of my 6 days safari was perfect. Gorillas and chimps tracking, cruise, lodges, everything were over my expectations. Edgar, my driver and guide, drive carefully, teach me a lot about his country, peoples, traditions, animals, birds and plants. He also gave me good advices with his wonderful smile. I highly recommend this agency

Fantastic Safari and tour, knowledgable team, good value for money, great accomodation - 5 STAR
5/5

From the outset Maranatha Tours were helpful, they listened to our needs and made great recommendations to ensure that our family holiday was 5 STAR. Our driver Edgar was very knowledgeable, friendly, punctual and a great additional member of the family for the duration of our trip. He is a superb game driver and was often the first to spot a variety of animals. The team back in the office communicated well and were efficient and helpful, often securing us the best accommodation at a good price. Can't recommend them highly enough.
