A Great Riding Experience
A fantastic riding experience with high expectations exceeded. Well led by Andrew and his team including Francoise, Phoebe and not forgetting Vincent and Nelson. Would certainly recommend this ride to anyone looking for adventure with other like minded riders.

Namib Desert Ride.
I have done many riding trips but this was probably my favourite. To see no, litter, buildings, pylons or aeroplanes and few 4 x 4s for 9 days was not something I had experienced before and must be fairly unique. The surroundings were really breath-taking. I can take or leave game in places like Kenya, but in Namibia, where there is literally no water, it was frankly a miracle and therefore a privilege to see herds of oryx, springbok, zebra and wildebeest and healthy looking ones at that. The dedication of the staff on this trip left me speechless: they have what I would cause a skeleton crew on this trip but they worked tirelessly to ensure the horses received the best of care and that we as guests were properly looked after. The bed rolls are worthy of a special mention in dispatches. Vincent and Phoebe created banquets in the trailer kitchen! The riding was not for the faint-hearted which was exactly as it should be in such a vast landscape: forward-going and fast. Andrew Gillies was a great guide: a raconteur to be sure, but impressively knowledgable and responsible without being boring. Lastly the horses were some of the best I had ridden on trips: supremely fit and in great condition, but with little quirks in their characters that come with herd life. My only criticism is of myself: for not bringing enough warm clothes - it seems you can never have enough (we were advised to bring plenty): the desert can be really, really cold at night. I can't wait to go back: with extra layers.

Awesome is an overused word these days, but not for this experience - truly outstanding in every way
More than exceeded expectations. Having ridden a fair bit in Africa and worked on riding safaris when I was younger I was blown away by this trip. From the extraordinary barren, hostile, yet powerfully beautiful landscape of Namibia - to the fantastic horses and team of Namibia Horse Safari. Andrew was a wonderfully knowledgable guide and host and a superb horseman which was reflected in the animals that we rode. Extremely well matched to each of his guests, they were the heroes of the trip! The routes we rode everyday varied and were spell-blindingly awe-inspiring; and the back-up team who looked after us were so kind, helpful, good-natured and always smiling. A joy to be around. The paces we rode at suited the terrain and there were plenty of opportunities for a good turn of speed. The nature of the trip being an 'expedition' - going from A-B contributed to the epic sense of achievement that was felt at the end of the trip - clearly tinged with huge sadness that it had to end and couldn't just go on and on!

They were highly professional at all times and in testing circumstances, safari exceeded expectation
The horses were beautifully produced and accurately matched to each guest. The tight knit camp staff and guides were professional at all times, whilst always patient and kind. The food was outstanding. All aspects of camp had been very carefully thought out in detail down to the best bedrolls with high quality branded bed linen. The communications were consistently clear and unequivocal. The safari developed a gentle and deeply happy rhythm as our journey progressed. The overall experience was superb, it exceeded expectations and I would recommend it to those with a hunger for the remote.

The perfect African horse riding holiday: fantastic landscapes, horses, crew and logistics
The landscapes are varied and stunning. The horses are simply fantastic. The crew is amazing, they take great care of both horses and guests, always with a smile. The holiday has a very personal feel while being very well run. It is the perfect mix of camping and comfort (good food, drinks, comfortable beds/stretchers, bush showers). The safaris offer some of the best riding worldwide. The rides are challenging and as such will please the guests seeking an active holiday. Yet, thanks to the great crew, horses and logistics, the holiday can also be one of the most relaxing one.
