Very patient and our tour advisor gave us amazing recommendations according to our budget.
5/5

Being a family that only thought that Mombasa is the only and best place for family vacations our perspective changed when our trip advisor recommended amazing destinations and camps that are a few hours drive from Nairobi. We settled for Nakuru-Lake Elementaita. We loved the beautiful views of the Lake, the game drive to Soysambu Conservancy and the fun filled activities we did in the place we resided. Our experience with the tour operator was amazing, they considered our Budget and preferences to help us choose our destination. The customer service was good and it was definitely value for money.

Full service, all inclusive very well organised and responsible tour operator
5/5

Booked online/through mail conversation with a lot of mail exchange with Peaks & Safaris. Got very good service incl for example several suggestions, very flexible/good alternatives in both standard of accommodation as well as places to visit and recommendations on length of trip. We (family of four - two "kids" 18 & 15 years old) decided on a combined safari and sun/relax trip for in total 10 days.

In Kenya, starting in Nairobi, we were met by people from the operator at all transfer points which was very helpful. We stayed at 4 different places in 10 days so lot of transfers - everything went very smooth. Quite a few hours in the car - but we knew about that.
Day 1 Nairobi - Lake Nakuru (Mbweha Camp) - with an afternoon game drive in the park - saw quite a few birds, giraffs and rhinos.
Day 2 Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara.
Day 3 & 4 full day game drives in Masai Mara - accommodation in Masai Mara somewhat pricey for a Swede but really good (Engai Wilderness lodge). Saw all big 5 animals - had a fantastic guide and driver provided by Peaks & Safaris.
Day 5 Masai Mara - Nairobi.
Day 6 train to Mombasa/Diani Beach.
Day 7-10 sun, bathing & snorkling at Diani Beach (Asha Boutique Hotel). Very nice place - beach front, only 8 rooms, super kind staff, good restaurant on the beach.

Everything was organised, booked and taken care of by Peaks and Safaris - can highly recommend their services - very accessible, responsive and reliable!!

Phenomenal!!!!
5/5

From the moment we booked the safari until we landed back in the States, I had the experience of a lifetime! Vera was very kind and patient, answering all of my questions, through prompt responses to my emails. When we landed in Nairobi in the middle of the night,, I felt very safe and secure. The next morning we were met by Vera and our guide, Chris. They both were very knowledgeable and welcomed all questions.

I can't explain the next 10 days other than to say it was absolutely the best experience ever. I was going to be happy if I got to see a lion or elephant, but we saw every animal imaginable. Chris was phenomenal in every way, from being extremely patient with us when we wanted to stay in the same place just to capture the "right" picture to explaining the culture and geography of Kenya, right down to the plant life.

I was worried about the food and if I would like it, but, like the rest of the experience, the food was outstanding! I thought I would lose weight, but I think I gained some. They even made me a birthday cake, as we were there on my birthday!!

I am planning on returning to Africa soon. I will not use any other company. I cannot say enough good things about Peaks and Safaris!!!!

Very friendly and professional staff gave us an outstanding experience
5/5

We have had the very best service from Peaks & Safaris from our first contact til the adventure was over. We where picked up at Nairobi Int Airport and from that moment we had full attention for the next 6 days. The driver Harison was very polite and caretaking, also he had good knowledge on the safari-tour and was good at finding animals of all kind. We where 4 persons who had booked everything for us privately and that was very good and gave us value for the money. The accomodations was also very good and the food was excellent.
We can absolutely recomend Peaks & Safaris as an organicer of your Safari

Immersive, well-organized trip experiencing multiple parts of Kenya!
5/5

We had an exceptional experience with Peaks and Safaris, thanks to Vera and the entire team.

Vera was kind, professional, and thoughtful throughout our planning. She provided excellent suggestions, always available to answer questions, and showed great patience when we had to delay our booking by a year due to unforeseen scheduling challenges in our group of two families (a total of 7 travelers.) She seamlessly resumed the process when we were ready.

We loved that our journey went beyond the “expected” highlights of Kenya.

The team's extensive knowledge made us feel connected to every place we visited. Our varied itinerary took us from the coast to the Rift Valley, and then the Maasai Mara for a traditional safari. This allowed us to experience diverse aspects of the country & culture we might have missed on just a standard safari route.

On the coast, we explored historic Lamu with a great local guide. Our main guide Jonas gave great tips on local beaches, and a group favorite was a sunset cruise on a traditional boat (with a great dinner cooked on board!) he arranged.

In the Rift Valley, we again benefited from local guides the P&S team coordinated who led us to hidden gems like hot springs and flamingo sightings at Lake Magadi.

We appreciated the thoughtful choice of lodging. In Lamu and the Rift Valley we enjoyed boutique accommodations owned by locals. We also had a wonderful stay at an eco-camp hosted by the Maasai people just outside the Maasai Mara. We loved that these stays were so much more intimate and connected to the local culture.

In the Maasai Mara, P&S booked a lovely bush camp centrally located within the reserve. We quickly learned the value of this location—it had excellent positioning for game drives versus properties on the edge or even outside the park.

Our main guides, Harrison and Jonas, were wonderful across our whole 14 days, and we loved their stories and shared lots of laughs! On safari, they were excellent drivers and very knowledgeable about the park and animals. Harrison was also amazing with our three teenage kids, and because of that they never wanted to skip a game drive! A local guide, Moses, joined us adding deeper perspective, and P&S’s connections put us with a top hot air balloon pilot for a truly bucket list experience! Touring the park, it was clear how well-connected and respected the P&S team is in the community.

A highlight was the surprise birthday celebration the guides arranged for a member of our party, making the experience unforgettable.

Overall, our adventure with Peaks and Safaris was incredible.

For fellow Americans, I found the booking process more relaxed than we may be used to regarding timing of contracts & deposits being required. Despite that, everything finalized without issue.

We highly recommend Peaks and Safaris for an authentic and unforgettable experience in Kenya. We’re excited for a next adventure with them!

Well-organized, knowledgeable, and super friendly
5/5

We were very fortunate to connect with Peaks and Safari for our first safari experience. From the moment we got out of the airport, we felt confident that our guide knew his business and we would be safe and have a good time under his care. The vehicle was great. The accommodations were perfect. The experiences in the parks were everything we hoped for. Our guide took care of all the details which allowed us to just enjoy ourselves.

Prior to arriving Vera and her team were excellent communicators and helped us design an itinerary that fit our needs and budget. She was helpful and easy to work with. We hope to be able to travel with Peaks and Safari again soon!
