The most accommodating, proactive, supportive, and friendly team to work with.
As a university professor, I have relied upon the excellent service of Peaks and Safaris since 2010 to include a rich student experience with Kenya's incredible culture, history, and environment. And each year, Peaks offer remarkable and reliable service that includes helping you carefully plan your itinerary, offering best practices to make the most of your journey, providing detailed customs service where needed, rapid reponse for any urgencies, checking up on you during your time, and they have the most talented, safety-oriented and friendly drivers/wildlife guides one could wish for. You feel thoroughly taken care of - and have no worries at all while on your journey.
Clear communication between dispatch/office, the safair leaders and the clients is solid and comforting on long journeys. They are quite fast in their adaptive management with any changes in weather, traffic, etc. and always consult with the client so all options are on the table. Their safari leaders are ethical in their tours and do not rush up on wildlife as is commonly seen - they respect the policies in place set by parks to protect Kenya's wildlife. They are also highly respectful of locals, business owners, and all those you come across on safari. And in so doing, they set the bar high on standards for what a safari outfit should embody. And as a university professor, Peaks staff always look out very carefully for each student - which is an additional level of assurance and comfort that is such value added.
It has been a real pleasure to work with all members of the Peaks and Safaris team - and I look forward to many more years of their excellent service, friendship, and reliability.

Peaks and Safaris - the best and most experienced safari guides and best service for groups.
We had, once again, the most excellent safari experience with Peaks and Safaris. As I often bring groups from Sweden I always contact the company to arrange safaris and other bookings during the visit in Kenya. The unique thing with Peaks and Safaris is quality and competence of the safari guides, combined with helpful personal service from the office and reasonable prices. We can absolute recomend Peaks and Safaris for your next safari in East Africa.

A personal, professional experience with clearly exceptional local knowledge.
Our guides were amazing, taking us to the best places on the day to see the amazing wildlife of "the Mara". The accommodation selection was excellent being small scale and personal, and the staff were extremely warm and helpful. I could not recommend Peaks and Safaris more tightly as a a great value for money Safari Company.

Customer service at the forefront
Peaks & Safaris have been excellent to work with. All our wishes was taken into account (despite us booking quite late) and they delivered with very high standards and professionalism all through making you feel like a highly valued customer. The mix of safari and relaxing days by the cost was perfect and I can warmly recommend them.

Incredibly knowledgable and respectful towards wildlife
I went on a 3-week long big group safari with Peaks and Safaris and had an amazing time! Our guides (Chris, Isaac, and Harrison) went above and beyond to make sure that all of our needs were met - from booking extra activities for us, to getting us great wildlife sightings, to answering all of our countless questions. Vera, who organized our booking, was on top of communications and always alerted us of any updates regarding our trip prior to arrival. The three guides met us upon arrival at the airport and took us to a great restaurant along the way to our first destination. We visited several different parks: Meru National Park, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Lake Nakuru National Park, and Maasai Mara National Reserve. The guides knew so much information about each place and each animal that we saw and loved sharing their knowledge with us. Overall, I felt incredibly safe and well taken care of during the entire trip.

Well-organized, knowledgeable, and super friendly
We were very fortunate to connect with Peaks and Safari for our first safari experience. From the moment we got out of the airport, we felt confident that our guide knew his business and we would be safe and have a good time under his care. The vehicle was great. The accommodations were perfect. The experiences in the parks were everything we hoped for. Our guide took care of all the details which allowed us to just enjoy ourselves.
Prior to arriving Vera and her team were excellent communicators and helped us design an itinerary that fit our needs and budget. She was helpful and easy to work with. We hope to be able to travel with Peaks and Safari again soon!

Could not have been better...
We saw the big 5 and the ugly 5.
Daniel our Guide and driver of the 6x6 jeep was amazing to say the least..
We had an absolute blast each of the three days. He even took us over to the Serengety in Tanzania. The herds of animals over the boarder were a site to behold...

Immersive, well-organized trip experiencing multiple parts of Kenya!
We had an exceptional experience with Peaks and Safaris, thanks to Vera and the entire team.
Vera was kind, professional, and thoughtful throughout our planning. She provided excellent suggestions, always available to answer questions, and showed great patience when we had to delay our booking by a year due to unforeseen scheduling challenges in our group of two families (a total of 7 travelers.) She seamlessly resumed the process when we were ready.
We loved that our journey went beyond the “expected” highlights of Kenya.
The team's extensive knowledge made us feel connected to every place we visited. Our varied itinerary took us from the coast to the Rift Valley, and then the Maasai Mara for a traditional safari. This allowed us to experience diverse aspects of the country & culture we might have missed on just a standard safari route.
On the coast, we explored historic Lamu with a great local guide. Our main guide Jonas gave great tips on local beaches, and a group favorite was a sunset cruise on a traditional boat (with a great dinner cooked on board!) he arranged.
In the Rift Valley, we again benefited from local guides the P&S team coordinated who led us to hidden gems like hot springs and flamingo sightings at Lake Magadi.
We appreciated the thoughtful choice of lodging. In Lamu and the Rift Valley we enjoyed boutique accommodations owned by locals. We also had a wonderful stay at an eco-camp hosted by the Maasai people just outside the Maasai Mara. We loved that these stays were so much more intimate and connected to the local culture.
In the Maasai Mara, P&S booked a lovely bush camp centrally located within the reserve. We quickly learned the value of this location—it had excellent positioning for game drives versus properties on the edge or even outside the park.
Our main guides, Harrison and Jonas, were wonderful across our whole 14 days, and we loved their stories and shared lots of laughs! On safari, they were excellent drivers and very knowledgeable about the park and animals. Harrison was also amazing with our three teenage kids, and because of that they never wanted to skip a game drive! A local guide, Moses, joined us adding deeper perspective, and P&S’s connections put us with a top hot air balloon pilot for a truly bucket list experience! Touring the park, it was clear how well-connected and respected the P&S team is in the community.
A highlight was the surprise birthday celebration the guides arranged for a member of our party, making the experience unforgettable.
Overall, our adventure with Peaks and Safaris was incredible.
For fellow Americans, I found the booking process more relaxed than we may be used to regarding timing of contracts & deposits being required. Despite that, everything finalized without issue.
We highly recommend Peaks and Safaris for an authentic and unforgettable experience in Kenya. We’re excited for a next adventure with them!
