Professional and well organised tour with a personal touch
From the pick-up upon arrival until the very last minute, our driver/guide Raymond provided a professional but friendly service. Our 17 day discovery of Namibia Tour will remain one of our best trips and our holiday memories will last forever. Blue Crane Safaris made this experience possible in a hassle-free way. The accommodation and restaurants were all of a high standard with a very good price/quality ratio. Derek, the owner, and his staff were always on-hand to help, their advice was excellent and the driving and guiding skills of Raymond were highly appreciated. We'll look forward using Blue Crane for a next trip in the region.

An Awesome Experience!
From our first inquiry with Blue Crane Safari, Derek was prompt and helpful. We were booking relatively late, but Derek helped us find a safari that met our needs. We made all of our arrangements from the United States via email and everything turned out seamless. The morning of the safari we were picked up in Swakopmund by our guide Penda. We were transported to Etosha in an air conditioned van. Penda pointed out animals along the way and gave us information about what we were going to see. Once inside Etosha, Penda handled all of our check-ins and dinner reservations. Dinner was a buffet and we ate with the to the travelers in our group. Our rooms both nights at the lodges were comfortable. Penda drove us in an open air truck for our game drive on the second day. We spent the day driving around looking for animals. We saw all the animals we had hoped to see including cheetahs and lions. Penda was always willing to stop so we could take pictures and he always gave us plenty of information about the animals. Overall we had an amazing experience and we have nothing but great things to say about Blue Crane Safari. I would definitely use them again if I was in Africa and I would recommend them to my family and friends.

Both consultants and guides do anything to make your safari an excellent experience
From the first contact through email until the drop of at Windhoek AirPort, the overall experience has been great. We booked 2 safari's. One to Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia and the Namibia experience. We were both camping and we stayed in lodges. the camping experience was very good it exceeded our expectations. Very nice to be sleeping outside and to be able to hear all animals outside. And the lodges were so nice, with gamedrives and sundowners to remember. The drives were sometimes long but the bus was comfortable and air-conditioned. We can recommend Blue crane safari, you will be in very good hands.

Wonderful Trip to Etosha!
We had a wonderful 3 day trip to Etosha with Blue Crane Safaris. Our guide Raymond was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and we had good fun with them too.
The team in the office were also really helpful and it was a pleasure organising our trip with them.
I would highly recommended Blue Crane Safaris and Raymond as a guide and I would definitely use them again should I be back in Namibia.

Thoughtful arrangement with super professional Guide
We have found Blue Safari at the last minute prior to the trip. They are very competitive in the quotation, compared to the other agencies. In the meantime, they are super helpful and willing to help us solve the Visa issues. in our country the visa officer requires a lot of formalities and strict information to be provided by the agency and Blue Crane staff, Derek Jacobs, is so kind and supportive to provide anything we need for the visa.
And the Cost is much lower than all the other agencies!
The trip proves that we have made the best choice ever! the schedule is very reasonable, allowing us to see many spots as much as possible. The accommodations are very nice as well, cozy and comfortable. and our guide, Raymond, is very experienced and professional, has a lot of knowledge. He has been cooking, driving and guiding for us all the time. Thanks to him we have a very pleasant trip.
Blue crane is very professional and i sincerely wish you guys develop better in the coming years!

My family and me were enthusiastic about Blue Crane Safaris.
I made safari with my family -daughter, son in low and 3 grandchildren of the age between 3 and 12 years.-
From start to finish we had best planing and consultation by Derek Jacobs. He made different proposal. We choosed one of them. The Safari tour was great. The guide with assistend were very kind and qualified. The children loved them. All of us were delighted and enjoyed the tour.
Excellent Trip with Blue Crane Safari
We had a 5 day trip in Namibia, mainly to visit Namib-Naukluft Park. Our guide, Ronny was just excellent. We were so glad to have him as our guide. He arranged everything in advance, and found animals on the way, and explained the history of landscapes. He was very knowledgeable. The sunset and sunrise experiences in the Namib-Naukluft Park were a life long experience.
We discussed our trip with Derek. He was very responsive. He cleared all my questions, and arranged whatever we requested. Even the price for the tour was very reasonable. Namibia trip was one of the best trips in our lives. It couldn't be achieved if we drove a car by our own.
We are so glad to find Blue Crane Safari. Thank you so much for the memorable trip.
Great Afrika self drive safari
Enjoyed the trip. Derek was great, car optimal, distances long to drive, but educational and inspiring. Selection of lodges great, food something new for us, but great. Especially enjoyed quads, Zambezi rafting, sunsets, game watching, river cruises...
If you go to Afrika, this is a fine combination of adventure not to touristic, but comfortable vacation.

The true meaning of African hospitality
We were a group of 3 Indians with a vague dream of visiting one the most fascinating places on our list, Namibia. At one point, it seemed quite a daunting task to organise the whole trip ourselves given our limited vacation times, until we were lucky enough to come across the most accommodating, helpful, good mannered and flexible tour agencies we have ever encountered on our extensive travels - Blue Crane Safaris. Starting about a month before our trip, company owner Mr. Derek Jacob personally ensured we were provided with all the required information about what to expect on our trip, and displayed utmost patience with his communications to us, additionally giving us ample time to arrange for the payments required. I would like to personally commend him for his time, patience and amicable attitude towards his clients; Blue Crane really does stress on its reputation for being pleasantly customer-oriented, in contrast to the usual money-minded tour operators you expect to come across. From the get-go, our trip was impeccably planned according to our tastes, starting with a timely pickup from our accomodation at Windhoek, in a full-fledged camping trailer vehicle with large windows that would let us enjoy the desolate sights outside - absolute value for money in my opinion. On the first leg of our trip to Sossusvlei, our guide Mr. Quinton ensured beyond doubt that vegetarian food would be prepared for us as much as possible, where he demonstrated absolute attention to the fact that we would remain satisfied with our meals; I think this particular point could be of significance to a lot of potential Indian vegan tourists visiting Namibia in the future. Along with friendly camp assistant David, Mr. Quinton turned out to be highly good natured, humorous, accomodating, cheerful and very well knowledgable on cultures, traditions, wildlife and geology of Namibia (and Southern Africa in general). While giving us plenty of time to explore the area on our own, they also ensured we had many of our special requests met, including setting up for two wonderful breakfast sessions near the fascinating red dunes of the Namib. A truly fascinating bunch of days! After this, our awesome guides took us through a long, enchanting journey through the Etosha national park, demonstrating full determination to make sure we spotted every animal we set out to view in the first place - their meticulous attention to movements in the bush really displays the strength of their experience as African tour guides, where their spotting skills meant that we ended up spotting black and white rhinos, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebra herds, kudus, warthogs, hyenas, and many birds - absolutely beyond all our wildest dreams!! Throughout our trip, we were also given tidbits of useful and interesting stories, legends, folktales and cultural insights into life in Namibia and the surrounding regions, including snippets of info on animal and bird behavior. All this lent a very authentic feel to our trip, and there is no way I can express my thanks to our wonderful guides, some of the most friendly and hospitable people we have had the fortune to come across - this made sure our trip was totally stress free and enjoyable. I would give 5 out of 5 stars on all aspects - friendliness, professionalism, accommodation standards, food quality, knowledegeability, flexibility, camping equipment, vehicle comfort, timeliness, value-for-money, and all related aspects. My full-fledged and hearty appreciation to the whole team, including owner Derek Jacobs, camp guide Quinton, and camp assistant David. Its been more than a month since we got back to our regular lives, but our time in Namibia will always remain with us. Priceless!!!
