Amazing people, amazing service, an overall amazing experience.
Never a hiccup, since the day I contacted Waves Safari Derrick was there to answer all my questions and solve all my doubts.
Our 3 day Safari with Sammy went beyond expected! We had a lucky star guiding us through our experience and we got to see all big 5 and many of thems, having a one-on-one with 10 Lyons and a very close up with a white Rino. Hotel choose and pick was absolutely aligned with my needs and what I was actually quoting by myself , so like they read my mind.
I recommend eyes closed Waves Safari, and we are so thankful for all that they did for us.
Seen the Big 5!
I enjoyed my Safari. This was my first time in Africa (Kenya) and it definitely won’t be my last. Derrick picked me up from hotel and made sure I got back in safely. Safety is definitely a priority for this company. My Safari driver was Albert. He was very patient with all of us. We all wanted to stop the car multiple times to take pictures. Try staying in the luxury camps or hotels! Trust me on this! I stayed in Jambo, my room was great. The food needed some work though. Everyone was super pleasant. We went on the Safari and actually seen all of the big 5! I felt so accomplished. We also watched two lions mate! It was amazing. Make sure you bring shillings to tip the drivers and locals. The van did need to be a bit cleaner. But, overall I enjoyed myself.

Fantastisk
After many years of wanting a safari trip to Africa with the desire to see e.g. the big five, flying in a balloon and a lot of other things, then we decided to finally strike.
There are really many safari tour providers to be found on the internet.
But we landed on Africa Travel Waves. And that was our luck.
A completely fantastic experience, which was made possible through our fantastic game driver Peter.
Initial contacts were made through the Nairobi office of Blaise Odhiambo. And if we were nervous about doing business and deals, they were really put to shame. All agreements were complied with at least 100%.
So finally use this safari operator if you want a personal and incredible safari where all agreements from end to end are respected to the letter.
And if you have the opportunity to have Peter as your guide, then a formidable experience awaits you, both on a professional level and on a personal level.
Best regards from Anni and Flemming from Denmark.

Seamless operations, warm, and thoughtful
Going on an African safari is an adventure we dreamed off for a long time. We knew it’d be expensive and we knew there could be many unknowns. So we spent time with friends who were veterans of 12(!) safaris in the past 20 years.
They recommended Travel Waves and one other operator. Edwina won me over with her prompt responses and thoughtful planning. She was very patient with my many questions over the subsequent months.. as our excitement continued to build.
Once we landed, we had an airline related mishap that required a small change in plans. Edwina met us in Arusha and helped us get it all sorted.
Anwar was our guide in Tanzania. He was exceptional - in his knowledge and ability to spot animals and birds. He was very knowledgeable, very engaging, and did a great job matching our energy. He realized quickly that we were animal obsessed - so we just did full day safaris every day with packed lunches (which also works well with the distances and roads in the Serengeti). Thanks to Anwar, we finished our Tanzania leg feeling very knowledgeable!
Once we transferred to Kenya, Tom took over. He was a gentleman - thoughtful and friendly. After a lovely run in the Maasai Mara and Lake Naivasha, we had another mishap that required plans to be changed on the last day. Tom was wonderful - helping us work through some embassy related work before we flew.
When Edwina came to see us off, we just had compliments for the excellent organization, warmth, and thoughtfulness. We also promised to spread the word on the incredible experience we had.. starting with this review. :)

Wonderful experience
I took the 8 days safari with travel waves. Initially, I was a bit skeptical since they required me to make a deposit for the booking. This is the norm among the tour operators in Africa. so don't be alarmed. I did do some research before paying the deposit. They are registered with KATO which always is a good sign. Once I landed, Edwina was there to receive me. Tom was our guide and he was great. Both Edwina and Tom were extremely professional. Tom was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife. All the accommodation bookings had been done and I did not have any trouble on the tour. Moreover, the tour was within my budget. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend Travel Waves. One improvement I can think of is the vehicle which seemed quite old. Everything else was perfect.

Finally, a tour operator that truly cares!
I used Safari Bookings to find a tour operator who could arrange this 7 day trip for me. Derrick of Africa Travel Waves Safari immediately responded. He was very professional and timely in his replies. They created a 5 day safari package that included Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Navaisha. As I was a solo traveller, I joined other groups. I have to say that Africa Travel Waves chose an amazing group of people for me to join. The veichle was also a proper 4x4 Land Rover. It offered the highest levels of comfort and safety.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, which were beyond the control of Africa Travel Waves Safaris, my chosen hotel at Lake Nakuru has overbooked themselves and I was walked to another hotel without the knowledge of Africa Travel Waves. It was a less than pleasant experience at the Golden Palace Hotel, Lake Nakuru. Even if it was not their fault, Africa Travel Waves Safaris, took responsibility of improving my exprience in Kenya by providing a better accomodation by Navaisha. This showed me that they truly cared for my well being and wasnt just there to make a sale. I highly recommend them as a tour operator. I would put my full trust on them again.
To the amazing team of Africa Waves Safaris, thank you for making my experience an exceptional one! Thank you for giving me an opportunity to create fond memories of Kenya! You guys rock!

Excellent Safari Experience
We had an excellent safari experience in MAsai Mara with Africa Travel Waves Safaris. It was very easy for me to plan my Kenyan Safari trip with Mrs. Edwina as she provide sufficient & clear information, prompt responses, flexibility & reasonable pricing. Even she helped me to buy train tickets from Mombasa to Nairobi as it's bit tough to buy train tickets online without a local's support as it accept payment only by MPESA.
Although we went on game drive Safari only for 2 days, she had arranged it very well & especially with safari guide Mr.John, we were able to see many animals within that short time as John knows every inch of Masai Mara park very well.
I can recommend Africa Travel Waves Safaris to anyone to have a trouble free tour.
