The most Incredible fortnight
Incredible two weeks in Kenya organised by Alex. She found some great hidden gems and really looked after us. Would definitely recommend

Truly a trip of a lifetime: our road trip was extremely well researched and imaginatively planned
Our experience with Extraordinary Africa was exemplary from start to finish. Friendly, highly efficient planning correspondence with a personal touch made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. EA's deep knowledge of the region meant we had an itinerary to die for, but, almost more importantly on a road trip, a realistic one - a self-drive safari where the driving would delight us each day rather than tiring us out. We stayed in a perfect mix of magical places, from desert camp sites to high-end hotels. Once in-country, we felt support was there if we needed it, but never intrusively so. I wouldn't hesitate in booking with Extraordinary Africa again after the terrific experience we had.

Kilimanjaro Success
Alex and Extraordinary Africa organised our recent expedition to Tanzania to climb Mt Kilimanjaro. This was far from straightforward as the five climbers were arriving from both the UK and Kenya, had mixed climbing experience and an age range of 19 to 63! Alex’s attention to detail and consideration of the intricacies of our group ensured that we were all well prepared and the route up the mountain and guiding team chosen carefully for us. The climb itself was not without difficulty but as a result of Alex’s careful planning and the exceptional guiding team we all made it to the summit. Oh, and Alex, hiring that portaloo for the duration of the climb was nothing short of genius! An enormous thank-you from all of us. George, Hampshire UK and Gilgil, Kenya.

Good service, helpful staff. Provide plenty of support and are friendly to deal with.
The safari was amazing; we had a ton of fun with minimal hiccups. All campsite bookings were arranged, car hire went smoothly. Made for a great vacation

A once in a lifetime experience, thank you Extraordinary Africa
Alex organised an amazing trip for us gorilla trekking in Rwanda, probably one of the most emotional experience of our lives. The highlight was obviously coming face to face with a silver back whilst his babies scampered around us but the golden monkey trek did not disappoint either. Our guide was also wonderful, he was a wealth of knowledge and keen for us to see and learn as much as we could during our time in Rwanda. Our trip was everything and more than we expected we only wish could have stayed longer. We would not hesitate to recommend Alex, in fact we have already discussed a future trip to Africa and will be using Alex for that too

Amazing self drive Namibian Adventure!
First off just want to give a big thank you to Extraordinary Africa and Alex in particular. Our trip more than exceeded our expectations. All We knew was that we wanted to go to Africa and our time line, that was it... From the very beginning Alex bent over backwards to help us figure out what country was best to visit during March/April. Being the wet season she suggested Namibia, not the most traditional first safari destination, and it ended up being the best possible introduction to Africa. Not very many Americans travel to Africa, so there is a lot of misinformation, and trepidation about traveling to Africa, especially off the beaten path. The Extraordinary Africa staff quickly answered all of our questions (even the ridiculous ones, without making us feel silly for asking) and made the planning process smooth. Our itinerary was tailored specifically to our needs and we left the planning process feeling like we got exactly what we wanted. Once on the ground in Windhoek, Extraordinary Africa arranged seamless transport to our hotel and coordinated our link up with local staff and for the delivery of our vehicle. Throughout the trip Extraordinary Africa, or their local representative, were accessible 24/7 to add tour and game drives to our booking. One day they were able to book us a Quad Bike trip less than two hours after we called. Namibia was an amazing country, the stark beauty of the desert was best experienced from the self drive safari we booked. It gave us the freedom to go at our own pace, stopping and climbing any interesting mountain or rock formation along the way. We ended up spending nearly a month driving around Namibia, experiencing many different environments and biotypes. From the deserts of Soussusvlei, to the Big Five sightings in Etosha National Park, and the lush river valley of the Okovango, to the urban environs of Swakopmund and Windhoek, Namibia was an amazing country. I will definitely be back in African and will definitely be booking with Extraordinary Africa again.

Three weeks exploring Namibia and Capetown!
Alexandra organised everything for us throughout our trip. Her detailed knowledge of Namibia as an emerging destination and indeed the whole African continent is first rate. She was able to offer her first hand experience on a country by country basis. Alexandra had either visited all of our accommodation personally or was able to vouch for its quality through recommendations and her network of contacts on the ground.
Highly recommend Alexandra and Extraordinary-Africa!

Wonderful honeymoon organised by Extraordinary Africa
Alex at Extraordinary Africa did a brilliant job organising our honeymoon. We initially started planning our trip with another company, but they didn't help us narrow down our options and listen to what we actually wanted from the trip. Alex certainly did this and came up with some fantastic options for us to choose from and helped us go back and forth whilst we put our whole trip together. She always responded very quickly to all our queries and happily picked up the phone on the weekend - this level of service was great when we were busy at work Monday-Friday.
For the safari element we stayed at Ol Seki camp in a conservancy by the Masai Mara for 4 days and it was exactly what we wanted - wonderful guides, food and the view from the "tent" was exceptional. Our connections to the Seychelles went without a hitch, but we were very aware that Alex would be at the end of the phone if we needed to alter anything!
We wouldn't hesitate in booking with Extraordinary Africa again - the personal service made sure we got exactly what we wanted (and more!) from our holiday.

First class bespoke service from extremely knowledgable, flexible and friendly staff
We were recommended Alex by a friend who used her to book their honeymoon - we were not disappointed. From the first call when we thought we wanted to go to South Africa, she discussed what we wanted from our trip. After lengthy discussions, she said that if adventure, amazing scenery and landscapes was our thing, then she would recommend Namibia - we were blown away by the trip beyond all expectations and Alex pitched absolutely perfectly when it came to the mix of luxury and adventure - this was only possible due to her own experience in Namibia. We gave her a budget and she stuck to it rather than what most agents do which Is stretch and tempt you with things that you cannot afford. When a flight was cancelled prior to our departure, she sorted everything and gave us various options all within 24 hours and then sorted out the alternative bookings without a fuss or any cost. first day back and we are saving for our next trip with Alex as this is a truly bespoke service. We could not recommend highly enough. Thank you Alex.

Amazing honeymoon! Can't thank Alexandra enough
Alexandra at Extraordinary Africa organised the holiday of a lifetime for us for our belated honeymoon in March 2016. Everything from start to finish was faultless; from the advice she gave us about where to go, tailored to our needs and requests, right through to the quality of the accommodation. We were provided with a detailed itinerary, there were transfers and welcome parties whenever we needed it, and it was reassuring to know Alex was always on the end of the phone, had we needed her. Our safari lodge, Notten's was superb and exceeded our expectations. We saw amazing game, (seeing all of the Big 5 except the elusive cheetah), the hospitality was second to none and the food was delicious. We then had a quick stop off in J-Burg at a smart airport hotel before our transfer to Mauritius. We then stayed in luxury at Lux Belle Mare, again with fantastic food, a great beach, free water sports all day and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. We can't thank Alexandra enough for organising our honeymoon and would recommend the company to anyone thinking of travelling to Africa!
