Overall good
The reason why I choose Karibu In Kenya Safaris was, because Robert answered all my questions immediately. The trip was amazing, but there were some things I didn't like.
You have to make the full payment on the street in Nairobi before departure without getting a receipt. Our bus wasn't in a good condition and broke down two times during our trip, but our driver drove very carefully and fixed all problems. On our first day we missed 1 hour gamedrive, because of the delay fixing the car. Sometimes we were 8 people in the Van which wasn't comfortable during Game drives. Water was only provided on the first day and one small bottle on the last day.
On our last day we missed the bike ride in the Hellsgate-Nationalpark, which was originally on my itinerary. Our driver said, No there is no bike ride, only a Hike. And for the Hike we had to pay a fee of 5 Dollar per Person for the Guide, this was the next surprise.
But overall I have to say this tour was very good, measured by the low price I paid. I can recommend the Tour.
The accommodation were ok and the food was good but twice, I didn't stay in the Hotels which Robert named in advance.

It’s a unbelievable trip, the nice people, the perfect landscape, and of course the animals.
It’s unforgettable experience. It never happened in our life before. We love it very much! And we would like to specially give our big thanks to our lovely driver and guide- our BIG man Raymond, he is so friendly and really help us a lot with everything. He brought us to all the nice places and tell us what to see. Thank you Raymond!

3-day tour to Masai Mara to experience the Great Migration
It was a most memorable safari to see the great migration in the Masai Mara--beyond all expectations!
The tent accommodation was basic, but was adequate for the a 2-night stay. Food was basic but enjoyable. No problems there.
George, the driver, who drove the group I joined to the park, knew the park well and showed us some amazing scenes of wild life.
But he has to learn to let the passengers enjoy the game and not drive off from a scene when he felt like.
Robert, my contact person, did an excellent job in setting up the tour up for me.
But certain logistics were beyond his control--in particular, the transportation to and from the park.
Transportation problem started when when we set off from Nairobi. George had not been given the money to pay at the park and we waited a long time outside of Nairobi before the funds were brought to him.
On the way back from the park, another vehicle was supposed to pick my group up and take us to Nairobi. Again we waited for a couple of hours before the transportation materialized. On reaching Nairobi, the driver had great difficulty in finding the address to drop off a couple of passengers, so that best part of the evening was spent driving back and forth in Nairobi.
For me, Robert came to the rescue. And for that I am very grateful. He picked me up from the city centre and brought me to my destination.
A fantastic trip, but could have done without the transport hassle to and from the park.

Amazing Africa, ordinary service
Everything went according to plan. It was almost good for its price. Sometimes there were 7-8 passengers in the van. But all discomfort situations was just for a few hours. Sometimes there was not enough free water.
The tour would be more interesting if it ended in Masai Mara. But it started in Masai Mara.
Africa was great, of cause :)

Fantastic experience, no-frills but comfortable safari, got up close with many animals! Recommended!
Very well organised safari. I joined as a solo female traveller and felt safe and well looked after the entire time from hotel pick up to drop off at the end. Our driver was very friendly and dedicated - and he tracked down so many animals for us! The camp was comfortable, especially the beds(!) - the showers were hot and the food simple but plentiful. Both the sunset and the dawn game drives were breath-taking and we saw a huge array of animals, the visit to the Masai village was also very memorable and enjoyable. A highlight was walking along the Masai river with a ranger and spotting hippos and crocs! An amazing experience overall, and for a bargain price - highly recommended.

If it wasn’t for its excellent service, flexibility and prompt replies we wouldn’t have make it!
Robert was our savor, since our flight had been cancelled and he managed to work out an excellent last minute solution, making up for the time we lost stuck at airports. Besides Robert’s prompt, creative and last minute recommendations and solutions (out of office hours), the safari and our driver/guide were exceptional! We will definitely travel with Karibu Safaris in Kenta again!

We had an awesome safari experience with Karibu Safaris during our time in Kenya!
From the point that I submitted a query on Safari Bookings, Karibu Safaris were constantly in touch with me through their helpful correspondent Robert. He helped in answering several of my concerns regarding a trip to Kenya.
We got picked from an apartment in Nairobi on 29th Jan and so began our bumpy ride to Maasai Mara (there were patches under construction so the route got really rough in certain areas). The guide, Raymond, was a friendly/casual guy who answered our questions readily and put in his best to ensure that we were able to make the most out of our safari experience in Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru. Game drives in both these areas were amazing especially in the morning and late in the evening (the afternoon one proved a bit too dry and hot or maybe we were drained of energy by that point). The camps at Maasai Mara were decent and the only major drawback was that there was very limited electricity (from 6:45 pm til 10 pm) and there were no charging ports inside individual camps (one had to go to the dining area to get access to charging ports). Raymond dropped us at Nairobi on the way back from Nakuru. "Ooueee!" to use one of his own phrases; we wish him all the best in life!
Our next driver-guide was Boniface who drove us to Amboseli. The dusky arrival in Amboseli with Kilimanjaro in the background was a terrifying yet spectacular scene. The camps at Amboseli had 24/7 electricity and the campsite was sprawling. On our drive, Wan-jau (literally "animal") was an additional guide with us and he was a mentor to nearly all the guides we interacted with. His knowledge and insight was fascinating; a shout out to him for being there and helping us learn so much! The hill point where we had lunch was an epic place from where one could extensively view Amboseli Park.
Karibu Safaris booked our tickets from Emali to Mombasa and we bid our guides farewell after an eventful 5 and half days. A final word of appreciation for Boniface for being a great driver and an amiable person to chat with til the end. All the best with your MJ pre-surgery good looks! ;)

Januari in Kenya
Hi Robert,
I want to thank you very much we enjoyed our Safari in Style adventure and having cheerful and extremely knowledgable Aroni as our guide totally enhanced our experience. We highly recommend a safari at this shoulder season as the wildlife viewing was remarkable and there were so few other tourists to share it with.

Amazing tour - thanks to the best guide James
We did the 4 days group joining safari first to Masai Mara and then to lake Nakuru and we had an amazing trip. We had the best guide in a James, who did a great effort to make sure we saw all the big 5. But that leopard hide well, so maybe next time ☺️ Together with Karibu we also did a surprise for hot air balloon ride for my sister and it was just fabulous. We also got a cake and a song. So we can only recommend Karibu safari for the next trip. Thanks to the staff for all the placed we went

Really good guide!
The Safari in Masai Mara and Nakuru Lake is ideal for a group of friends, family or couples who are looking for an adventure and some peace and quiet. I went alone and It was amazing as well!
The Lodge in Masai Mara and the Hotel in Nakuru Lake are situated near to the Game Reserve, both very clean, confortable, staff are friendly and there is hot shower during some hours per day (Masai Mara). The only thing is that I spent my first night in a shared room (even if I booked a private).
Aroni was our guide for 4 days and I really enjoyed his company, ponctuallity, knowledge about the animals and the places we’ve been, africain culture and enthousiasme doing his work! Really good driver as well! I would recommend Aroni to anyone.
