Very good value for money!
We did a 6 day budget safari with Karibu safaris. We Went to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli. Amazing safaris! Prepare for long days in the car though, Kenya is a vast country and traffic is slow.
We chose Karibu safaris due to the reviews on safaribooking.com and everything went according to plan. Our guide was very keen on showing us everything important and we saw so many amazing things! A trip of a lifetime!
As we were travelling on a budget the accomodation was budget and the bathrooms of low standard, not always warm water, toilet that might not flush etc etc. But it was fine for five nights.
The food was plenty but not always super tasty according to our nordic palate. Bring a few bags of crisps and you'll do fine.
I would reccomend that you get a written contract that specifies what's included in your trip and bring it on your tour. We didn't have a problem but other guests (maybe other tour operators, not sure) had discussions about transfers to the airport etc.
Over all I would highly reccomend this safari if you're on a tight budget but want to see as much as possible and don't mind low standard accomodation.

The best safari I have had since 1976
During the precedent safaris I have had in Kenya and Tanzania, we were 6 to 8 tourists in the same minibus during the game drives, which made it difficult to watch and photography at leisure the animals, while game drives were limited to two, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, each of 2 to 3 hours, covering short distances. With Karibu Safaris, for our six-day safari, my wife and I could for a reasonable price have the minibus for us only, and we had game drives of up to 9 to 11 hours a day, both in Masai Mara and Amboseli. Our driver-guide, Arony, was exceptionally competent with 20 years of experience, friendly, anxious to show us the best, taking us to the right spot at the right time, and sparing no effort or time for this purpose. This allowed us, for example, to be among the first to reach the spot where a kill was taking place in Masai Mara, with 7 lions capturing a mature buffalo. Accommodation in lodges and food were excellent and up to our expectations. Definitely the most memorable safari we have ever had!
It was an amazing experience with Karibu Safaris travelling three countries...
All the arrangements including travel, accomodation, safari were excellent. I do recommend you all Karibu Safaris.

Safari was one of the most wonderful things what had happened with me
Before Safari we had made investigation of few offices with their offers and choose Karibu because they have chipest price with good program. The living conditions were even better than we expected. Double bad in the individual tent with own bathroom!!! Everything clean, not a lot meal but tasty and enough for being full. But what was the most luckiest in our trip this is Arony driver. Thanks him to show us The Big 5 in 4 days and a lot of other rare animals. He has awesome experience around 20 years, he knows the all roads and shortest ways, he has good knowledges about all animals we saw and good understandable English to explain everything. Even in so dangers (with traffic) county as Kenya Arony shown us very good driver skills and we had staying safe all the trip without losing speed. What we definitely understood the main thing when you try to choose safari is the experience of your driver - without good driver you won't see something really interesting or will be stuck in the wet road. Just two things which I didn't like it is Naivasha lake and visiting Maasai village. They cost 20$ per person but I think it is too much and the driver should have clarify all additional visiting on the start of the trip.
Adventurous, fun, exciting

All in all , I enjoyed personally.

Great experiences
The staff at Karibu Safaris are very kind. They totally lived up to our expectations. We had a very good trip and saw all the animals at the safari. Our driver was so cool and we felt protected when we were with him. Thank you for the experiences, I will definately recommend you to other people who are visiting Kenya.
Great option for budget travelers
I solo traveled to Kenya and decided to go with Karibu because of its competitive price, especially as a single traveler. I was lucky to have been paired with a great group of other travelers as well from all over the world. Robert was very quick to respond to any emails or questions. I booked 2 months in advance and did not know what to expect as it was my first time to Kenya. I did 2 nights in the Masai Mara and 1 night in Lake Nakuru. There was some confusion at the tented lodge in the Mara, where they had overbooked and some people had to share a tent with a stranger when they were told they would get their own. Food was standard, although I would suggest that they have more non-meat options. The hotel in Lake Nakuru was excellent, with access to a pool as well as decent restaurant. One area I think Karibu could improve on would be the organization of the passengers. On our way back from the Mara we had to do a couple of passenger swaps based on who continued onto Nakuru which delayed things a bit. For the price, I think this was a great budget option. The drivers were also very friendly and knowledgeable.
