Great experience
Overall great experience with Karibu Safaris. Our driver Mark made sure everything went well and he was very accommodating when we asked for an early start on the second day to catch the sunrise over the Kilimanjaro. He was also knowledgeable and could answer our questions in Amboseli park. He is well connected and got tips from other drivers of where were some hard to see animals like cheetas!

Excellent and professional
This company is very professional, precise and reliable. Our pick up and drop off went very smoothly and we could not ask for a better driver during the safari. Highly recommend them

Perfect driver
I recently had an unforgettable safari experience that exceeded all expectations. The knowledgeable guides made every game drive an adventure, ensuring we encountered a diverse array of wildlife. The accommodations were not only comfortable but also immersed us in the stunning natural surroundings. From sunrise to sunset, the landscape transformed, providing breathtaking moments that will stay with me forever. This safari truly offered a perfect blend of excitement, luxury, and connection with the wild. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an extraordinary wildlife adventure.

Great experience, special shout out to Sammy!
We did two consecutive safari’s, first to Masai Mara and then to Amboseli. First the negative: The communication with the office leading up to it was a bit slow. Also, we would have liked more information on the itinerary, especially the drive from Masai Mara to Amboseli was a lot longer than expected. A warning about that would have been appreciated.
That being said, it was a tour combination that they normally don’t offer, but made custom for us. Which we did really appreciate. Both guides were great, but we especially want to highlight our first guide Sammy. Easily one of the best guides we’ve had in a very long time. Super chill and managed our expectations well. He stayed calm all throughout, also when we hit a roadblock on our way to Masai Mara that had to be cleared by the police.
His experience as a safari driver showed in many ways: knowledge of the animals, knowledge of the park and where we could find certain animals, good communication with other drivers to help locate certain animals. In the end we saw everything there is except the rhino (which is notoriously hard in this park).
Finally, the accommodations (enchoro wildlife camp and manjoro tented camp) were good as well.

Best budget safari you could find to Amboseli National Park (3 days)
We booked a 3 day budget safari to Amboseli National Park and we were satisfied with the whole trip. We stayed at Manjaro tented camp, the location was amazing, the food was delicious, we were given typical kenyan dishes, the view was breathtaking, the staff made us feel at home. Our driver (Kevin) made sure that we saw as many animals as possible. Overall it was possibly our best first safari we could have been hoping for. Definitely going back with Karibu Safaris for a longer adventure.

A lovely tour with an exzellent driver (Aruni)
We did a great safari at the mid-end of January 2024. It Was a 5-day Trip incl. Amboseli, Taita, Tsavo East and West. Although it was raining a lot in the last couple of weeks, we did see Zebras, buffalos, girafs, elephants, different Types of antilopes, foxes, lions and lioness..... The leopard we only saw at Ngulia lodge, where it gets feeded every night. The rhino sanctuary was closed during our stay at Tsavo West which was unfortunate.
The roads and bridges from Amboseli to Tsavo weren't in the best shape, but our driver was driving very well anyway. He was always nice and did the best so we could see as many animals as possible although it was difficult due to the vegetation after raining.

Excellent organisation and perfect guide for a 5 day safari from Amboseli to Tsavo East and West
We had a great experience with Karibu Safaris from the beginning to the end - and while the overall organisation was flawless and the office team also did a great job (always replying very promptly to our emails), this was largely thanks to our guide and driver Aruni, who always went the extra mile to make sure that we see many wild animals during the game drives. Because of all the green bushes in the parks at the time of our safari (a very rainy dry season), we were able to find and observe a male lion from very close in the large plains of Tsavo, and a whole group of lions the next morning. We were also able to be right in the middle of large groups of elephants crossing the roads, and seeing them take a bath, and so many more things. It was very pleasant to be on safari with Aruni for five days!

Group tours include many changing itineraries and the require flexibility
Karibu Safaris was responsive in the lead up to my tour and picked me up on time.
One thing I wish I knew beforehand is that a "group tour" includes people from different travel agencies with different itineraries. I thought it would be a group of people with the same itinerary, sharing the same experience. However, we would sometimes have to drive people out of the way so they could meet their next driver, or wait around so we could pick-up new people. I wouldn't have minded this if I had known ahead of time. Also, every time we asked our driver/tour guide questions about the itinerary he would get very annoyed. It wasn't until the last day I realized he didn't know the answers either! I wish he had just told us what was going on - it's not his fault the agenda kept changing.
