Super helpful, great budget option
We had a great Safari with Karibu Safaris in Kenya. We booked 3 days in Amboseli. It’s a great option for a budget safari, it was perfect for us. The van was comfortable. Our guide, Castro, was amazing. He was great at spotting animals (honestly I could not believe how good his eyesight is). We asked for a couple specific animals like hyenas and he made sure we saw loads of them! First day, a lovely 3 hour drive in the evening. Second day, a full day game drive with a stop at observation hill for lunch. On the third day we went on a nature walk with Saitoti, a local Masai who works at the camp we stayed at. I can’t recommend it enough. It was so interesting. We stayed at Manjaro Tented Camp which definitely was a highlight of our trip. Great staff and food and super comfortable tents. Be prepared to hear animals at night which really adds to the adventure! I definitely recommend this company. Booking was easy and Peter was super helpful. The park fees were included, accommodation, 3 meals a day and transfer to and from the park.

The most beautiful and surreal experience and glad we chose Karibu.
We chose Karibu based on the Internet reviews and glad we did it. From the pick up to the drop, they were very hospitable. We didn’t face any issues in the entire trip. Our guide Jackson was the best, he’s the one who made our trip even more beautiful. The facts that he shared kept us thinking so much about nature and we’ll definitely be back and without a doubt will choose Karibu for the trip.

Brilliant value for money
We did a 6-day budget safari in Maasai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli (600$). We expected everything to be very basic for this price but were very, very positively surprised by the quality of the experience. The camp in Amboseli was the best; very good service, beautiful view, good food. The camp in Maasai Mara was also nice although a bit less charming than the one in Amboseli. The hotel in Nakuru was not great (outdated and lacking any charm) but clean and functional.
In Maasai Mara and Nakuru we travelled in a safari jeep with 4 other people. It was an (unexpected) upgrade apparently. In Amboseli, we travelled in a safari van, which was great because we were only 5 tourists. Indeed, normally in such a van, there is space for 9 tourists which honestly would have been too many to fully enjoy the experience.
Edward, our guide was amazing. He did everything he could to make sure we saw the big five. We saw 9 lions in total, 1 leopard, 1 cheetah, plenty of elephant, giraffes, buffalos, zebras and all the animals you dream of. Thanks so much!
I would definitely recommend to travel with Karibu Safaris.

Absolutely great experience!
Great experience. We paid extra for very nice hotels and there were fantastic. Karibu offers you really good prices.
Our driver, Ambros, was the best. He made a big effort for us to see absolutely all the animals really close. I highly recommend him. You should know that you may go in the nice 4x4 or in a van like us, which is ok but not as good.

Simply perfect!
We did the trekking up to Mount Kenya with Jimmy as guide. It was such a great experience. We felt very safe at all times. He and his team are very well prepared and know the mountain and its dangers perfectly. They help you with everything prior, during and after! It's something I absolutely recomend for trekking lovers. Being able to see the sunrise from the top of Lenana peak it's something we will not forget!

Well communicated, trip/tour as described
Communication is quite clear overall, the only minor complaint is we did not realize was that the last day essentially had no activity other than driving back to Nairobi.
For 3-persons trip, we have to squeeze in a small room for two nights at Maasai Mara. That’s a little uncomfortable. However, the hotel/lodge is ok. It’s what you would expect at a national park.
Driver/tour guide is nice, accommodating, and very punctual.
My rating might have been a little harsh. I still highly recommend it overall.

Amazing 7-day tour with Castro - Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru - Hells Gate - Amboseli
Not long ago, we were lucky enough to join a safari in Kenya that took us to some of the most fascinating places in the wildlife. What made this safari special was not only the breathtaking wildlife and picturesque landscapes, but also the fact that we booked it relatively spontaneously on the spot in Nairobi. This flexibility and convenience made our trip all the more exciting.
At the office we booked the tour and learned that it would take us through the stunning Masai Mara, tranquil Lake Naivasha, colourful Lake Nakuru, Hells Gate National Park and majestic Amboseli National Park. From the very beginning, we knew this trip was going to be special.
Our guide, Castro, was a true treasure. Besides his driving skills, he was an excellent connoisseur of wildlife and the region. His passion for nature and his knowledge of the animals made the trip even more exciting. He guided us to the best observation points and provided us with valuable information about the species we were observing. Castro made this safari truly unforgettable.
The Masai Mara was our first stop and immediately we were struck by the incredible wildlife. Majestic lions, elegant giraffes, curious elephants - the list of animals seemed endless. The Masai Mara offered us breathtaking animal encounters and an enchanting landscape that fascinated us.
Our next stop was Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its pink-coloured shores and huge flamingo population. We saw not only the flamingos, but also rhinos, buffaloes, monkeys and many other animals. This park is a true paradise for animal and bird lovers.
Lake Naivasha was a welcome contrast to the wilderness of the Masai Mara. Here we took a boat trip and admired the fascinating birdlife, including the majestic white-tailed eagles. The tranquil surroundings and gentle lapping of the water were an invitation to relax. We were also close to the hippos, which were
The next day, our safari took us to Hells Gate National Park, the setting for the movie "The Lion King". This park offered a fascinating landscape that made us feel like we were in the middle of a Disney animation. The unique rock formations and picturesque scenery made this stop another unforgettable highlight of our safari.
Last but not least, our safari took us to Amboseli National Park, known for its impressive views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its large elephant population. Here we had the privilege of observing the majestic herds of elephants in their natural environment, with the sight of Kilimanjaro in the background. The view was simply breathtaking.
The quality of the accommodation on this safari was good and provided a pleasant resting place after exciting days. Overall, this Kenya safari was a life-changing experience. From the animal encounters to the landscapes to the quality of the guiding and accommodation, everything seemed to have worked in perfect harmony.
This experience showed us that adventures often start best in spontaneous moments. Our decision to book the safari locally was a perfect hit. Kenya has captured our hearts and we hope to have the opportunity to visit these amazing places again. This safari will stay in our memory forever, thanks to the breathtaking nature, the friendly people we met on our tour and the fantastic team that accompanied us.
Special thanks to Castro for your friendly and prudent nature.

Well organized, even spontaneously booking worked perfectly.
Very nice Tour, with our driver Clinton who has experience since 10 years and always brought us into the pole position for perfect pictures of lions, rhinos, elephants, buffalos cheetahs and many more animals. The accommodation at the camps have been basic but totally enough for the safari trip as we have been leaving in the morning and came late in the evening.
