5 days of dreamy sights
We booked the 5 days group tour with Karibu. Our driver Castro did his best to show us everything he could. We managed to see all the big 5 during the tour. It was an amazing experience, still can't believe it was real!
Totally recommended, would do it again!

He was the best. He answered all of our questions and really gave everything that we really enjoyed.
It was great. We had one whole day and a half in the Masai Mara National Park and a half day at the Nakuru lake. Our operator even stoped at the Navasha lake, because we asked him to. And we saw a lot of animals, even the cheetah, leopard and black and white rhinos. It was really a great experience and I would love to come back. It was defenetly worth the money. Also the tents in the eco camp where over our expectations and also the food was good. We loved everything.

Excellent , we got even more informations than we expected and would definitely do it again.
Karibu safaris organised an amazing tour in Kenya’s wild life and gave us so many unforgettable experiences. Definitely one of the best decisions we’ve made. It was my first visit here, and defined not last. I recommend.

Our safari guide (and driver) Mark was really amazing, told us many fun facts about Maasai Mara.
We were travelling in a group of four friends. With Karibu safaris we went to Nakuru and Masai Mara. The tour guide was really nice, we asked him to stop by Naivashi lake so we even took a little detour (Naivashi wasn’t in our plan). Our safari tour was truly amazing.

excellent value, would recommend
Excellent value and would recommend to anyone looking for a mid-range safari! This was the best price I found after contacting 8 agencies, and everything was very good.
I did the 3-day joining safari as a solo female traveler and felt very comfortable. Communications via email were quick and smooth. The accommodation, Jambo Mara, was nicer than I expected. It had clean rooms, a pool, and a gym with mostly working equipment. The food from Jambo Mara was fine - buffet style so lots of options, but nothing special. Bring snacks if you’re picky. The game drives were very good, and we saw all of the big 5. I think game drives between tour groups are pretty similar because you see a lot of the same vehicles at the same stops. Our driver for the trip was not very chatty, but did a great job navigating the terrain and finding animals and I had a great time.

Budget experience for MidRange price
First of all - National Parks are amazing!
However, this was no value for the price. I paid midrange and got budget service.
Generically, on the 7D trip 3 middle days are resting. No game ride in the morning before leaving Masai Mara so we arrived early to the next city and nothing to do. Next day after the morning ride there is the optional lake but again quite early finish especially if you dont want to pay for the lake extra. Lastly, again morning park and full day just driving. No sunset game. These 3 days could have been 2 and use the extra day for amboseli/masai mara or anything. Amboseli “full day” is 9.30-16.30 only.
However, more than anything your guide can make it the best experience or the worst. Mine was the latter - Castro. I see some other reviews mentioning his communication skills.
The guide’s communication was lacking. He was not giving us information. Which made the experience lesser. He was straight out annoyed when clarifying questions were asked. Especially about times. 30 min difference is huge when you wake up almost every morning at 6am.
We got very little information about the animals, except the name.
Then, he used our car as a taxi as well between cities.
The promised 1l water was not given. When asked the guide got aggressive. Like you got some in the hotel. That is none of your business. I paid 1l water a day with you and your company.
Everyone in my group paid budget and only me the mid range category. Really have the impression that I also got the budget driver.
Cherry on the top, he started to punish me. Dropping the others first eventhough my hotel was before and making an extra hour of bumping road. He thought I wouldn’t notice but I have GPS and connection.
Finally, I was told 1300$ after paying the deposit they told me 1300$ more to pay. It was quite unpleasant surprise as I checked at least 5 times for the price.
I would have expected higher standards from KATO member company.

Amazing tour guide, great experience!
Our safari trip to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru was simply amazing, marked prominently by the incredible array of animals we encountered - from the lions and leopards to the rhinos and giraffes. Our guide, Aruni, went above and beyond, doing everything possible to ensure we saw as much as we could while making us feel safe and comfortable throughout our journey. His extensive knowledge on the wildlife really helped us get the best out of our trip! We highly recommend this adventure! Thank you Aruni again!
One thing to note is that payment is in cash in advance (in KSZ, EUR or USD). As this is not part of communications during booking, keeping it in mind and preparing in advance is suggested.

We had the best experience!
Brilliant! We booked a 3 day safari to Amboseli with Karibu Safaris and we had the best time. Everything worked perfectly. Our driver, Mark, was excellent. He was very well versed on the wildlife, and made sure that we felt comfortable and that we could make the most of each game drive. We highly recommend him as well as the travel operator. Excellent value for money!
