The most knowledgeable guides in the market!
5/5

Our visit to Kenya was outstanding thanks to Karibu Safaris, and our amazing guide Aroni.

Aroni drove us across multiple national parks in Kenya. Took the time to give us a complete review of the culture, economy national resources and his speciality WILDLIFE.

Our trip was Taylor to our needs and Arony made sure we always felt safe and comfortable.

Outstanding from beginning to end
5/5

Planning and putting a trip together is one of the hardest and most time consuming part of the trip.
@travelingwithsinja did this for us and much more. She found us the best safari tour with Karibu safaris in Kenya and it came with Aroni, one of the best guide I have ever had and I have traveled a lot and have been with tons of guides.
When you gonna Spend a week with a person you don’t know you get a bit nervous about how you guys will get along, if he is going to be good, patient, & knowledgeable.
Aroni was an amazing guide, spoke perfect English, very profesional, responsable, respectful, educated, patient, always on time & knowledgeable.
Please do yourself a favor & next time you come to Kenya book your itinerary with @travelwithainja and use karibu safari in Kenya and ask for Aroni to be your guide.
They will make All your Kenya dreams come true.

Very good service with the an excellent driver!
5/5

It was our first time in Kenya and our first time in the Safari. We booked a 6 day tour budget group tour in Amboseli, Masai Mara and Nakuru, but 4/6 days we were alone(2 people) with the driver. Patrik, our driver, mabe the trip so pleasant with his knowledge about the african fauna anf flona and his sense of humor. We saw the big 5 and almost all the animals one can see in the safari because of all the hard work he put in to guide us to the best spots. Accomondation was very basic but it did the job. Please do yourself a favor and when you come to Kenya ask for Patrik to be your guide.

Good helpful and caring
5/5

First of all a big shout-out to our guide Jimi and the rest of the crew, who took great care of us and helped us and provided for us all we could possibly need. You are the best!
The trip itself was great, unfortunately we weren't able to summit due to altitude illness, but definitely try again sometime.

We went with Raymond and he was amazing.

Raymond our tour guide was professional. Took us very close to see the animals. Was very creative when we were stuck in traffic on our way back to Nairobi and found alternative routes to get us back on time

An expertly planned trip, maximum bang for the buck
5/5

My four days trip to Mt Kenya was a dream come true, made possible by Karibu Safaris (big shout out to Jimmy the guide, and supporting members Sam and Peter). It's amazing how knowledgeable the guys were, as I learned a lot more about the terrain, the wildlife, and history than I anticipated. The food was surprisingly delicious and you'll never expect such variety in the middle of such a challenging trip. It's planned perfectly for the high altitude, focused on the warmth and nutrition your body needs. Most importantly for me, the team insisted on "pole pole", me doing it at my own pace, and were absolutely dedicated to getting me to the peak, which we did! I would recommend this trip to anyone in a heartbeat.

The trip was amazing thanks to Mansur, the best guide
5/5

Although we experienced a small problem at the beginning, related with schedule, our memories about Kenia are amazing thanks to the guide, Mansur. He was so kind, enthousiastic, close to us...but above all, he was a proffesional. He is an expert and knows everything on Safaris (Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli in our case). We saw the Great 5 thanks to him! Always trying to catch a spectacle of animals!
I would call this agency again for sure.
Thanks Mansur, and the agency!

This is an amazing budget friendly safari!
5/5

Booked a 3-day shared safari with Karibu, and it was amazing! My driver, Edwin, was a great guide. He was knowledgeable about all of the animals and communicated well with the other guides to get us to wherever animals were spotted. He got us to and from camp safely. He got us so close to so many animals! A cheetah feeding, giraffes, elephants, lions, a lioness with her cubs. There was an abundance of all kinds of animals! Please keep in mind the guide doesn’t determine what you’re going to see on a game drive. But he will do whatever possible to get you neat whatever is spotted.

The tented camp we stayed at was comfortable and a great experience. I was traveling solo and was given my own tent. The bed was very comfy. And they provide an amble amount of bedding for the chilly nights.

The food was good (as an American I kept an open mind about the meal selections.) They catered to a little of all diets. And the food was flavorful. I know some reviews complained about limited selections. You’re on a budget friendly safari. You’re camping. You’re not going to starve and the food is buffet style. So you can get more than one serving. Please keep in mind that beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic…including water) have to be paid for. This is actually normal for safari. Edwin did take some of our group to a liquor store per their request.

The Masai men patrolled the camp at night to ward off any unwelcome visitors (hyenas, baboons and the possible occasional Buffalo). They were very friendly and helpful with getting my bags to and from my tent.
It would be wise to bring a pocket flashlight. As after 10pm the generator turns off. A flashlight is very helpful at night. Especially going to the bathroom in the middle of the night in your tent.

Please note that the roads to, from and while there are extremely bumpy. There is no getting around this part. Edwin handled the roads like an expert and tackled every bump.

There weren’t any mosquitoes that I noticed. And I packed with Deet spray and wipes thinking there would be. But the deeper we got on safari the more the flies were in abundance. There’s really no getting around the flies. You’re roaming around the open land. The animals’ land. Where they eat and poop. And where there’s poop there will be flies. We just consistently fanned them away. Again, that’s not a negative to Karibu. More so an FYI about the safari experience.

We did a game drive the evening we arrived at camp for about an hour. The second day of as a full day of safari. Leaving camp at 7am and returning at 4:30pm. Our camp was close to the Mara entrance. The morning of the third day our group chose to visit the Masai village before heading back to Nairobi. The visit to the village was so exciting and memorable!! We were able to purchase items handmade by the Masai women at the end of the village tour.

Also thank you to my agent Robert and other drivers Evans and Peter!!

If you want a budget friendly, safe and comfortable safari, definitely book with Karibu!!
