Average
I did the 6 days safari. The parks are nice, it was a good experience, but I'm a bit disapointed about the tour operator.
Firstly, my plane was late, and I got blame for that because other people were waiting for me, but it's not my fault and nobody told me before the hour of departure of the tour, so I couldn't know.
Then, few times during the trip, we lacked of water and I had to insist to them to buy me some (it's supposed to be included).
The accomodations are very "basic", but it's the same for all tour operators within this range price.
The overall organization was pretty bad, I can understand it was during the COVID pandemy and it was harder to fill groups, but still.
I had to check the day by day program on Safaribookings otherwise the tour guide would have skip some parts.
The tour guide for the last part (Ambelosi) was from an other company and was pretty bad. He was not honest and just rushed the tour.
I guess if you want something really serious, you have to pay much more.

Posted on Feb 10, 2021Hi Florent,
Trust that you arrive back home safely.
Thanks for the feedback and we will work to improve the quality of the service.
It just that due to the covid-19 effects on business we had confirmed group departing the same safari with you but the family did not get there covid negative test certificate on time so they count make it for the safari on the same day and as per our professionality we could NOT cancel your safari even if you were a solo traveler and we put you in a group doing the 4Days Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru and the part of Amboseli we put you in the Kimana tented camp safari van where by you joined the camps group safari and did the amboseli part. we had to make you finish the 6Days safari as planned.
We will improve to streamline the quality service, it has only happened during this pandemic. it has never happened before.
Thanks for your feedback.
Kind Regards
Wanjiku

It was an amazing Safari!
Over all it was a great experience.
Our driver, Aroni, was a great guy. Did everything he could in order for us to have a full Safari experience and get to see a lot of wild life. He was very protective and careful in order for us to be confortable and feel safe.
We loved Lillian aswell! She greeted us at the airport and helped us settle the preparations in Nairobi!
One thing should be taken into consideration: the accomodation in Amboseli was below our expectation, and below all the others acomodations in this trip. Our opinion was that this should be mentioned, so that the customers get the opportunity to choose if they wanted a more costly upgrade or just settle for the basic experience.
But as I said at the begining, it was great and we strongly recomand them all for managing everything with great professionalism.
Great job, guys!

Perfect safari tour operator!
We started to look for budget safari tour and found the website. We asked a lot of question to Lilian from the online chat and she helped us to make the best decision. She was super nice and helpful.
Once we were in Nairobi, hotel picked up was on time, Edward was our driver, he is super nice, knowledgeable, knows his animals and know how to spot them.
On the way back, we asked to be dropped not on our hotel but on our covid appointment and it was without any problem.
Karibu Safaris in Kenya is a great option for Safari! If you have doubt or still thinking about it, don't think and just do it.
We truly recommend them!!

Amazing time ! Saw the great 5 in one go!
We had excellent time in a 4x4 keep with our amazing driver and guide Ken.
We managed to see not only the five great animals from a very short distance but also some of the rarest ones such us Leopard and black rhino as well.
The camp was also nice and got the chance to feed baboons!
Only positive words for this amazing experience!
Thank you Ken for all the marvelous moments, persistence and punctuality!
Best moment in Kenya!

Perfect tour with the perfect guide !
Robert was really quick to reply and answered all of our questions. Due to the pandemic situation, we weren’t sure if we had to reschedule our trip but he was so accommodating that it was a burden off our chest.
Arriving to the airport, Haroun lead us to James and Winston. The journey began and what a beautiful journey ! We started to visit Masai Mara and arrived at Enchoro, which is a lovely campement close to the park and where the staff is welcoming and very kind. We got the chance to meet Jonathan around a bonfire, and spent the night discovering the way of life of the Masai. He also has introduced us to the members of his village before our departure from Mara: it was a unique experience !
On the fourth day, we visited Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. We stayed at the Taphe GuestHouse Resort and we never ate so well (even if the food was already really good)! Fresh fish from the lake, delicious and tender steaks, creamy carrot soup.. everything was tasty and the staff was making sure everything was perfect!
Before going to Amboseli, we went to Hell’s Gate and I strongly advise you to take a bike ride ($15/person) so you can ride next to the animals. We finally arrived to Amboseli: we were lucky enough to see the Kilimandjaro and enjoy our last day among the animals.
Opting for the 7 days-safari, we spent a lot of time in the van but I can tell you that you barely feel it: Kenya is a beautiful country and offers breathtaking landscapes!
Last but not least, we had the best tour guide ever: the smiling James whose favorite quote is “Hakuna Matata”! We spent 7 days with him and he made sure our trip was as remarkable as possible. We really appreciated his kindness and concern when we needed to purchase a SIM card or an adaptator. He is fun, knows how to spot any animal and explained us all the facts about them and not to mention that he has great taste of music ! ;) Everyone greets him and respects him so I think it’s safe to say he’s the boss ! Jambo James for everything, you surely made our first safari memorable!

An Most Excellent Adventure
We had an excellent experience with Karibu from the moment we contacted them to inquire about a tour. Communication was clear and prompt.
We booked an overnight trip to Maasai Mara National Game Reserve. We were picked up promptly from our AirBnB. The driver who picked us up was friendly and got us to the Karibu office safely. We were then greeted and briefed by Lillian, who was warm and friendly.
James, our driver and guide on the tour was awesome. He answered any questions we had, and was very knowledgeable about the park and the game that we saw. We were so lucky to view zebras, giraffes, elephants, hippos, countless antelope and buffalo. The highlight was the pride of lions we were fortunate to observe. An unforgettable experience. James got us a close to the action as possible!
The camp that we stayed in was lovely and comfortable.
We would definitely use Karibu again. The value is excellent!
