Amazing experience
The communication before the trip was borderline bad. I never got a description of what the safari would look like or more details about the company or experience as a whole so I was pretty much betting on the descriptions in this site. I also got really worried because they never asked for my phone number or anything to contact me for pick up except the name of my hotel.
Regardless of the unclear communication at the beginning of the trip the Safari itself was amazing! The lodges where we stayed the first two nights were incredible and very comfortable. Given that I was traveling solo I shared with someone else who was also traveling solo (another girl). The cabin was very spacious, each bed had it’s own very well set mosquito net and we even had a nice shower and toilet inside the lodge with warm water! The food was good, the drives were the best. Our driver was James and he went above and beyond to make our Safari an unforgettable experience. On the first day alone we were able to spot Lions, Cheetah, elephants and giraffes along other animals. On the second day we say a leopard as well which he mentioned was a rare sight.
Our van broke on the third day on our way back to Lake Nakuru and be speedily arranged for us to be driven by someone else to our lunch area so we wouldn’t waste time while he fixed it.
As promised, he picked us up after lunch and we were back on our way to lake Nakuru. So tip here: there is the possibility to do Naivasha on the way to Nakuru. I think he insisted on it because one of the new passengers had it included in his tour, he didn’t force it on us though. I do not recommend doing Naivasha unless you are into birds a lot. It’s very plain and the boat tour lasts nothing and is pricey (20usd). The main reason we agreed to it was because there is nothing planned for the afternoon of the third day. This was very very lame. We initially thought we would be doing an evening game drive as we had on Masai Mara but apparently the ticket is not good for two days in Nakuru. I would recommend changing the departure time from Masai Mara so that it doesn’t feel like the afternoon is wasted. I would recommend booking with them but definitely think something should be added to the afternoon on the third day for those doing the 4 day safari as it ends up feeling more like a 3 day safari than a 4 day safari.

Well organized tour. Really recommend for anyone who wants to experience great safari.
Our safari tour was excellent and our guides were super nice and experienced: Ronnie &Dan.
The whole trip achieved our expectation. Views and nature were amazing! Comminication with our guides was very easy. Our camps were nicely located.

An amazing experience with a good itinerary and knowledgeable guide.
The safari itself was amazing, we got to see almost all the animals you could see, including the wildebeest migration. The park was slightly crowded due to the high season but our guide was excellent and we had a great experience. The only thing that could have been better executed was the visit to the Masai village. It was in the morning on the last day of the safari, instead of the last evening which made us short of another morning game drive which could have been more appreciated.

It was awesome!
It was good. I will recommend it to my friends who wants to do safari tour especially Boniface who tirelessly did all his effort to make our adventure a remarkable one

Visits to the parks where amazing, resorts can be improved, driver where excellent
The content of the safari tour met our expectations and we enjoyed it. The standard of the camps was lower than expected.
Our driver Edward Som was very helpful and had good knowledge on how to find the best spots to view the animals.

Good budget option if you're short on time
Communication from the team was good both prior to and during the trip.
The schedule was kept to, and was made flexible by our driver who gave us options whilst on the tour.
The animals were great, and our driver did an excellent job of locating the best game and giving us amazing views.
We were a bit disappointed to see the driver littering whilst driving on the highway (not in the park). Being part of the "Ecotourism" group, I would have expected all staff to uphold higher standards on this subject.

Great way to experience Kenya in a budget
I and my friend have recently done a 7-day tour with Karibu Safaris. The key takeaways are:
Positive:
a. Robert, the owner, was very responsive, straightforward and trustworthy. As promised, he sent someone for our airport pickup and provided us a complimentary night stay.
b. Edward, our driver and guide, was extremely knowledgeable with more than 10 years of experience in safari tours. He tried his best to get us to see wildlife in all the parks and was at hand to resolve any issues we faced.
c. Vegetarian food was available for us all through the tour.
Things which can be improved:
a. It appeared that the bookings for stay are on tentative basis. Thus, if the place mentioned in the itinery is full, the guide will search for other places. While this doesn't seem to be a common occurrence, it brings an element of uncertainty. We faced this in Naivasha.
b. The lodging in Amboseli (Kimana Camp) needs drastic improvement. The issued included no heated water, bathroom door not getting locked and on top of that the power line went kaput in early morning.
c. The tour works on hub and spoke model. So, you can be mixed and matched with another group during the tour. For example, an initial group may have two set of people going on 3 day and 7 day tour respectively. After 3 days, the first group will move to a different vehicle at a transit point and another group will join in or vice versa. While this is okay, it will be better if it can be communicated in advance.
Overall, it was a great experience visiting Kenya. The wildlife is amazing and the people, in general, were fine. For a budget tour, Karibu's 7 day tour is a wonderful experience.

Great experience! We saw the Big Five!
The communications were very well organised, the camp where we slept was also very nice. Our tent had a private toilet and a bed. The safari tour was also great, we saw many animals and cheetas hunt. It was very exciting!! I recommend it.
