The perfect tour for the perfect first time experience.
For my first time in Africa and on safari, I was overwhelmed by the number of tours available. I must say that I made the perfect decision. From planning to the end of the trip, everything was amazing and ideal for this once in a lifetime experience. I'm so glad we chose Tanzania Choice Safaris to organize our family's trip! Although we are seasoned travelers, I was nervous about planning an adventure of this magnitude for an aging parent with significant health issues. Brenda's thoughtfulness, experience, and attention to detail (down to choosing the best planes for our domestic flight in TZ and the most convenient rooms in the lodges) made it all easy. She addressed every concern, planned around every constraint, and pulled together a custom itinerary that was perfect for us. Communication during the planning stage was frequent and clear, and the logistics of our 5-day trip were executed seamlessly. Our family had an amazing time with our guide Leslie, and could fully enjoy the splendor of Tanzania's parks and wildlife without worrying about a thing! Tanzania Choice Safaris delivered on our last minute, holiday request and saved the day!
We reached out to Tanzania Choice Safaris on Dec. 30 and asked if they could arrange a last minute safari to Arusha National Park for Dec. 31. The Tanzania Choice Safari's team replied almost immediately that they were working on it and within two hours, we had an itinerary that met our needs - a vehicle, guide, lunches, park fees, etc. The quick turn around on our last minute request provided us with a great opportunity to see Arusha National Park with an expert guide who was great with our kids (ages 6, 4, and 1.5), highly knowledgeable, and personable. I would not hesitate to reach out to Tanzania Choice Safaris with future requests for custom travel. They set an incredibly high standard for quality, customer service, and kindness.

Leslie was funny, very knowledgeable, and has an incredible ability in finding the animals!
This is the second time we have used Tanzania Choice Safaris and highly recommend them! Brenda is so organized and readily available for any of your questions or concerns that may arise. The second time we went our trip was delayed 2 years due to COVID which was a real bummer. Brenda was always on top of what was needed from us to make it a seamless experience and kept abreast of the changing requirements for us. Our guide this time was Leslie who was fantastic! Our first time in Tanzania we were blessed to have Kakasii as our guide and we were so amazed with his innate ability to know where the animals were. We teased Leslie (who is a relative of Kakasii's that he had some big shoes to fill! He was fantastic and we saw some incredible animals that we never thought we would see like the Leopard. We saw SEVEN! The accommodations were outstanding as well as all the staff that worked there. We thoroughly enjoyed EVERYTHING we saw and the people we met. Many, that I still keep in touch with. I have been so touched by this beautiful country and the people. It was a life changing experience for me and one that I will never forget. I am so grateful to Tanzania Choice Safaris for an amazing adventure. Brenda, Kakasii, their children and all the guides are incredible to work with, organized, and experienced. I can't wait to go back again for a THIRD time to see everyone again!

Leslie was so knowledgeable, so kind and so supportive.
We had an amazing safari. It was the trip of a lifetime for my husband and me. Leslie seemed to instinctively know where to find animals and also stayed in touch with other drivers to find animals.
I have mobility issues. I was pretty amazed and appreciative of one of our accommodations that had ramps to every cottage! It was awesome. Everybody was so helpful. It made for a wonderful safari.

Great experience from start to finish
Tanzania Choice arranged a safari for our party of four, two of whom were making their first visit to Africa. Brenda picked out a great itinerary to maximize what we could see in the four days we had available. Our guide Leslie quickly identified our various interests and made sure we got to experience everything we wished to. It's not an easy thing to find the right pace, but he did a fantastic job of lingering at the right places while still giving us full coverage of the parks. The lodging and food were also excellent. We especially loved the lodge that Brenda picked just outside of Tarangire. On a side note -- we were also very pleased to find that Tanzania Choice provides refillable bottles, not use single-use plastic water bottles.
Overall it was a wonderful, memorable trip for all of us, and we look forward to traveling with Tanzania Choice again!

Knowledgeable and kind; anticipated our needs; happily worked to meet our expectations.
Our original booking was interrupted by the pandemic. Rescheduling was easy due to helpful and flexible staff. Our guide, Joseph, was a real pleasure to spend the week with. He identified what we hoped to see and managed to often be the first vehicle to arrive when he heard over the CB about a lion (or rhino or hippo) sighting. We asked so many questions and he answered each with patience, even when we asked repeatedly (now what kind of bird is that again?). Joseph was great with our kids, always had a few extra blankets when we got cold, and got us up close and personal with some of the most beautiful animals imaginable. We wanted a trip that the family would remember and we go it. Thank you Tanzania Choice Safaris.
