Tanzania Choice was amazing from start to finish! Brenda, Kakasii, Leslie and Kelly are top notch!!
I am an experienced traveler and this was my third safari in Africa. Our safari with Tanzania Choice Safaris was - as others have said - a once in a lifetime experience. Brenda designed an amazing four day safari based on input from us. During those four days - we saw a huge variety of animals in three very different parks - each displaying the unique landscapes and beauty of Tanzania. Our guide, Leslie, was incredible. He often had other safari guides following him as he was nearly always the first to spot a lion, elephant, or leopard. He got us close enough to observe these beautiful animals for some time and of course to take photos and videos. Anyone wanting to experience Tanzania and Africa at its best should look no further than Tanzania Choice Safaris!

We had an incredible experience
Our family recently completed a 9 day safari with Tanzania Choice. We had an incredible experience and Tanzania Choice was excellent. The pre- safari planning communications went really well as Brenda was responsive, timely, reliable and able to answer all of our questions. She helped us figure what we wanted to do and how we wanted to it while taking into consideration our kids, cost and timing. We developed a customized plan that really paid off later when we were on the ground in Tanzania. Noel was our guide and he did an incredible job. He was kind, funny and an amazing teacher- we learned so much from him about the animals and their relationship to each other. He was tireless in his efforts to locate the animals we wanted to see, always maintained his professionalism and generally worked extremely hard for us the entire safari. The final part of our safari was a day hike on Kilimanjaro and our mountain guide, Michael, similarly did an excellent job sharing his experience and knowledge while getting us to our goal for the day. Overall, we could not be happier with Tanzania Choice and our experience, and give them our highest recommendation.

Trip of a Lifetime!
Our family of four with two teenage boys just finished an 8 day safari with Tanzania Choice Safaris. They were recommended by a friend who has been on many safaris in multiple locales. Brenda was extremely helpful and responsive from the point of initial contact, putting together a sample itinerary based on our profile and needs, all the way through to completing our bookings with lots of adjustments along the way. Leslie was our guide and we can't say enough good things about him. He is extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help us see things we may not have otherwise seen. By the end of our trip, Leslie felt like an extension of our family. If you are considering a safari in Tanzania, you can't go wrong with Tanzania Choice. As others have stated, there are 1000+ outfitters. Some are good, and some are not so good. You will be in great hands with the Tanzania Choice crew. For us, it was truly the trip of a lifetime.

Tanzania Choice Safaris is the perfect choice!
Our safari in early September was a fantastic experience. Working with Brenda at TCS to create our 8 day safari was easy and efficient. The trip was organized and seamless.
We can’t say enough about our guide Noel. He was charming, kind, attentive and had an amazing eagle eye which gave us the opportunity to view so many animals. His knowledge of the animal behaviors and individual habitats was vast and very informative. Noel’s respect for the Serengeti’s role in the preservation of wild game animals was heartwarming. In short he made this trip amazing for us.
We saw lions (every day in fact) in their various daily behaviors, cheetah, leopard and wildebeests migrating over the Mara River to enjoy better grazing opportunities. Of course there were plenty of elephants, giraffe, warthogs, zebras and hyenas. The many varieties of birds were either looking pretty or engaging in their role in the Serengeti ecosystem…think vultures. We were pleasantly surprised to find many species in this park un-fazed by humans and vehicles which allowed an up close and personal observation. Over generations they’ve realized that we don’t pose a threat…
We chose luxury accommodations and thought 3 of the 4 locations were top notch. The outlier was possibly located in an area with limited choices. This was our first experience in tented lodges and they were a gigantic step up from our many personal tent camping outings. The service at the lodges varied a bit but were mostly really good. Meals had a larger variance between the lodges, some were terrific and others ok. Daily lunch boxes taken on game drive days were basic but repetitive. In any case the attempt to accommodate western eating habits was appreciated.
Enjoy a safari with Tanzania Choice Safaris, you won’t be disappointed.

We saw almost everything possible!
Our guide was Noel, and he arrived punctually to pick us up. Once we were in the national park we immediately started seeing lots of wildlife. We only had three days to spare and he made sure we got our monies worth and more.
He was very patient with us, allowing plenty of time to watch the animals. While some people may not care a lot about the dikdiks, we saw 35 in about 1 1/2 hours the first afternoon. He delivered us to the safari camp and we had a good meal. When we were signing in animals were coming in to water just out back. During dinner our server mentioned to us 6 lions were out back in the darkness if we wanted to see them. It was pretty cool. Noel was great and we will ask for him again since we will be going back. Feel comfortable booking with Tanzania Comfort Safaris. You can’t go wrong!

From the moment I walked out of the terminal to when I was dropped off 8 days later, the service was amazing. Our tour guide Leslie was very knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to answer questions.

Tanzania Choice is my choice!
Leslie, our safari guide, was terrific. We managed to spot all of "the Big 5" between Tarangire and Ngorongoro Parks. And not only did we see lions, but we saw a male feasting on a kill, with his pride patiently waiting for him to finish so they could eat. We also saw 2 cheetas, ostriches, thousands of wildebeest and zebras, hippos, many birds, and so much more. Leslie was patient and provided answers to our many questions.

So happy we booked with Tanzania Choice Safaris -- Brenda and Kakasii are amazing!
My husband, our two teens and I have been talking about visiting Tanzania since before the pandemic. I wasn't sure the trip would ever happen -- I wasn't sure where to start with the planning. I called one tour operator, but I felt like she didn't really understand our budget or what we were looking for. Then my husband and I spoke to Brenda at Tanzania Choice Safaris.
We immediately clicked with Brenda, and she put together a travel package that laid out everything -- ground transportation from Nairobi; three different national parks for safari; then transportation to Zanzibar. Plus lodging and guides for the entire trip. And it was all within our budget!
Brenda's husband, Kakasii, was our safari guide for the first half of our trip. We could not have asked for a more enthusiastic, experienced or professional guide. Kakasii's love for safari is contagious; it was his mission to get show us as many amazing animals as possible -- and he delivered. We saw the "big five" (lions, water buffalo, leopards, elephants and the elusive rhinos), but also giraffes, zebra, cheetahs, lion cubs, hyenas, crocodiles, gazelles, impalas, monkeys, baboons plus a giant pool of cranky hippos. Throughout it all, Kakasii entertained us with stories about growing up in Tanzania and about his adventures as a safari guide. Before our trip, I had wondered if six days were too many days to go on safari, but the answer was a definite no! We were so sad when our time with Kakasii on safari ended.
The second part of our trip was in Zanzibar, and Brenda also arranged that for us. Once again, we were so happy with the two hotels that Brenda had booked for us , and with Cholo, the local guide who Brenda connected us with. Some highlights of the Zanzibar trip were the walking tour of Stone Town, swimming with dolphins and just relaxing on the beach and eating seafood. It was a perfect way to wind up our two weeks in Tanzania.
Throughout the entire trip, I kept saying how happy I was to have connected with Tanzania Choice Safaris. Brenda and Kakasii are consummate professionals who also happen to be really lovely people. (We were able to have lunch with them the day after we arrived in town.) I appreciate that they travel with their own kids, and so they have first-hand experience with what teens and younger kids like. The lodges Brenda booked for us were, without exception, wonderful. And, mid-trip, when we wanted to add a visit to Oldupai Gorge (a paleoanthropological site), that was not a problem at all. Overall, I cannot recommend Tanzania Choice highly enough!
