Our experience with Tanzania Choice Safaris was truly outstanding from start to finish. The organization and attention to detail made the entire journey through Tanzania seamless and unforgettable. what a nice brief but comprehensive 2 day safari with a knowledgeable guide

Brenda is absolutely a Gem. We communicated often as there were lots of moving parts for this trip. We first went to Zanzibar. We had the beach experience on the beach with a beach bun-aglow on the Indian Ocean. Then, we moved to Stone Town. We planned several excursions while we were there. The guide, UmCha and drivers were the absolute BEST. After a week there, we flew to mainland Tanzania. We started our Safari at Ngorongoro Crater. It is one of the most beautiful sites that you will ever see. We actually saw the Big 5 within 24 hours--I know, Leslie says this almost never happens. We continued our journey to central Serengeti and stayed there at a Bush camp. The set up is actually pretty nice. We continued to go on our amazing drives. After a couple days there, we continued on to northern Serengeti and drove right into observing the "Great Migration"...we saw the crossing a couple of times while we were there. One morning, we went on an unforgettable hot air ballon ride and saw the sun rise over the Serengeti. An unforgettable experience--every person that I have shared this with wants the exact same journey.

Extremely helpful - and patient with all our questions
This was a trip of a lifetime! I will add that the touring company is a key component of that. Our guides were experienced and highly knowledge of the wildlife, as well as the history of the area - and knew their way around. Our route started in the north by the Mara River for the Wildebeest crossing - then central Serengeti - then to Ngorongoro crater. We saw all the big five, 2 leopards, and 41 lions. We were unable to find a cheetah - but saw some smaller cats (can’t remember the name). Africa is a beautiful place and you will be very pleased with Tanzania Choice and the experience of their guides. Other helpful hints - bring binoculars and an animal guide book. The guides have them but much easier to have your own.

Tanzania Choice Safaris was an excellent experience from the beginning to end!
We have recently returned home and are savoring the wonderful safari experience we had in Tanzania. Brenda did a great job of putting together our safari. Always professional, she was there to answer any questions we had before and during our safari. I can’t begin to say enough about our guide, Noel! His knowledge of the Parks and the animals was incredible. He made the trip not only exciting but educational! From the time Noel picked us up at the airport until we said our good byes eight days later he was always thoughtful and accommodating. Although this was a trip of a life time, if we every return we will definitely use Tanzania Choice Safari!

It was a spectacular trip, better than expected. Would highly recommend to anyone. Saw lots of animals every day. Loved the overall education about the animals and the safari.

An Excellent Safari Operator
Our group decided to choose Tanzania Choice Safari on a recommendation from co- workers with our Non Profit Surgical Team, Resurge International.
This was my third safari, and it was excellent. Kakasii was our guide and owner, along with his wife Brenda, provided us with a great safari. Brenda was so communicative. All questions or concerns were responded to within 24 hrs. Remember time differences!!. All questions were completely answered. It was wonderful to deal with Brenda.
Kakasii knew exactly where to take us and taught us patience, which paid off!. After a rain storm, a pride of Lions appeared from the grass and put on a National Geographic show for us!. As one of our co travelers also said- we got nothing else to do but be patient!. What a sight we saw. There were only 1 other jeep that also stayed. All the other guides left. There were many time he took us places to see amazing sights. Very knowledgeable of the birds and animals.
I would not hesitate to recommend this outfit to anybody .

Flawless, from start to finish
From start to finish, our trip was flawless thanks to Brenda's meticulous advance planning and uber guides Lesley and Noel's expert driving and extraordinary game-spotting skills. We were continually astonished by the lodges Tanzania Choice Safaris booked--each one different but all top notch--culminating in the one-of-a-kind Mkomazi Wilderness Retreat.
If you're looking for a small, family-run company with tremendous respect for and knowledge of the wildlife and Maasai people, you can't do better than Tanzania Choice. We had the trip of a lifetime.

Outstanding experience from start to finish
We were recommended to use Tanzania Choice Safaris by a relative - and they were absolutely right! Communication with Brenda was friendly and professional. She crafted a bespoke trip for us, including time on Mafia Island to spot whale sharks, and was very patient with our shifting dates! We were lucky enough to have co-owner Kakasii as our guide and benefitted from his experience and deep knowledge. This was our first time in sub-Saharan Africa and our first safari experience. It was every bit as memorable as we'd hoped (for a 'round' birthday). We were looked after and always felt in safe hands, wherever we stayed. Kakasii kept in touch with our airline to make sure our luggage - which sadly didn't arrive with us - was in the accommodation on the second night. Saw all the Big 5 across Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti, plus some snorkelling and relaxing by the beach. Thanks for the trip of a lifetime!
