The best safari with the best safari guide
Tanzania Choice Safaris was incredible from the start - Brenda took time and energy to ensure my safari would best suit my needs. The accommodations were great, and I got to see the best of all different kinds of lodging (tented camp, lodge etc.) as well as 3 different parks. Kikasii is simply the best, and made me feel comfortable and showed me the best of all of the parks. I would highly suggest TZ Choice Safaris, and look forward to my next adventure with them!

Customized experience from friendly and welcoming staff
We had an incredible time on our safari! From start to finish, Brenda and Kakasii did everything they could to meet our expectations and then some. We did a 12 day safari and learned so much about the animals, the people and the land. Having an experienced guide is really important to help with problem-solving on the fly, ensuring we went to more remote parts of the reserves, and maintaining contacts and relationships with other guides and the lodges. Kakasii seemed to know EVERYBODY and did everything he could, day-by-day, to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a negative experience with one night's sleeping arrangements and our original itinerary had us staying there another night. We told Kakasii and Brenda and they immediately took care of it - gave the hotel feedback and re-booked us elsewhere. I really appreciated how responsive they were.
This was my first safari experience and I want to go back and would use Tanzania Choice Safaris without a doubt. I've already recommended them to friends who want to go on safari in Tanzania. It's great to be able to help out a smaller company that's offering really great customer experience.

Absolutely amazing and life changing! Knowledgeable, prepared, and always had our interests at heart
I knew this would be an amazing trip but Tanzania Choice Safari made it a life changing experience. We started planning our trip almost 9 months in advance and were referred through an acquaintance. We had a lot of questions and Tanzania Choice was always very responsive with answers. When choosing our lodging we were given several choices to choose from. TC provided links and details to enable us to make knowledgeable choices. They gave information on what to expect and walked us through every detail. Our stay was for a 2 week period and we did many game drives in the Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Arusha National Park. Every park was beautiful however; we were very thankful for our guides as they went off the beaten path to make sure we not only saw all the animals we could and saw them from every angle. There was one day where our guide veered off the road to show us lions. We couldn't see anything and when asked what he was seeing he said he saw the 'ears' twitching in the grass. It was unbelievable the attention that was paid to our surroundings to show us as much as he could. While on the game drives you are out in the middle of nowhere, and our guide knew where he was at all times. He made us feel at ease and created a trust in us that we had nothing to fear. Bottled water was provided in abundance and was much appreciated.
I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Tanzania Choice Safaris. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be back in the near future!

Home Run Hit with Tanzania Choice SafarisEverything
Every aspect of our trip was nothing short of spectacular. Kakasii, Brenda & Ezekiel were warm and welcoming. All three patiently answered our never ending questions. No effort was spared not just to meet our wildest dreams but to exceed them. Our accommodations were clean & comfortable with great showers and attractively pleasant grounds. Even the luxury tented lodges and the Masai lodges were better than great. We were able to keep our cameras and devices charged either in the vehicle or at the lodges. Everyone we met was eager to share their culture and knowledge. Unlike many tours, we were able to plan our own schedules with options to revise should the need arise.
As for the wildlife viewing and photo opportunities, I can't begin to detail how very spectacular was each experience. Each day we teased our guides as to how they were ever going to top what we experienced that day. Yet every single drive presented a new, different and somehow even greater adventure. My husband and I have made five awesome trips to Africa and numerous trips to every continent on this planet. We both agree that this trip with Tanzania Choice Safaris tops the list. That takes some doing as we've been blessed to travel to many wonderful
places. Not only do we plan to make a repeat trip, everyone in our group wants to be included in the plans. Tanzania Choice runs an awesome safari. Many thanks to all of you until next time.

Our tour with Tanzania Choice Safaris was fabulous and exceeded our expectations!
From the beginning, our experience with Tanzania Choice Safaris was extremely positive. Brenda Kimaro, co-owner and office manager (and originally from the US), communicated frequently with our group of eight, suggesting possible itineraries and locations. She helped us focus on possibilities that were important to our group. As a result, we had a variety of accommodations and experiences which were all unique, fun and allowed us to sample multiple Tanzanian cultures, sites and wildlife. She sent us information about our itinerary locales and lodges, and a few days before we departed, a video link, giving us tips about what to expect when we landed at the Kilimanjaro Airport. Tanzania Choice Safaris staff members met us at the airport, as arranged, and made sure we were comfortably settled in our lodge for the first night. In the morning, we had a brief introductory meeting before beginning our safari adventures. Every day we focused on wildlife viewing, traveling through the Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park. In addition to the incredible wildlife we viewed in each of these locations, we visited a Maasai village and Olduvai Gorge. Our guides, Kakasii Kimaro (co-owner of Tanzania Choice Safaris) and Ezekeil, both spoke excellent English, were highly competent, extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife, culture and terrain of all the places we visited, and gregarious companions. They were valued members of our group, with whom we closely bonded. They were true leaders, guides, gentlemen and positive representatives of Tanzania. Unlike many other tours we have been on, they did not take us to multiple places to shop - which was refreshing! Our focus was on wildlife viewing, not shopping. We did stop at a couple of locations where we could buy locally made souvenirs, with the proceeds going back to tribal members or local people. We were not pressured to buy anything, and Kakasii and Ezekeil tried to find establishments that met our requests, such as wood carvings and coffee.
The lodges they recommended based on our requests were attractive, comfortable and clean. The food was delicious, well-prepared and plentiful. Filtered water was always provided and available.
But the true highlight of our trip was the tremendous wildlife viewing. Each day brought us new experiences, each seeming to be better than the day before. Part of that was luck, but much of it was that Kakasii and Ezekeil were so knowledgeable about the the parks, the terrain, the wildlife and their habits and habitats, and how to spot animals from a distance.
Having traveled around the world and to many countries, this was one of the best tours we have ever been on. It certainly exceeded our expectations! I can highly recommend Tanzania Choice Safaris.

Excellent tour guides and wonderful experience!
Had a wonderful time on the safari. The communication with the tour company was very good and our questions were answered prior to the safari. The choice of lodging and services were very good and every effort was made to make the entire experience a memorable one that we would look back on with some excellent memories. An exceptional experience; one I would recommend to others without reservation.

We had a wonderful experience with Tanzania Choice Safaris--it was everything we hoped it would be.
Tanzanian Choice communicated clearly with us and delivered on every promise. We had to customize our trip to include a local resident, and Tanzanian Choice was very responsive and easy to work with. Our guide arrived precisely on time, and we had a pleasant drive to the park with our guide explaining what we were seeing as we drove through Maasai country. The vehicle was comfortable, and our guide did a fabulous job of find animals and explaining what we were seeing. Lunch was a nice picnic at a scenic overlook in the park. On the return trip, our guide stopped to give us a closer look at a coffee plantation in which we had expressed interest.

A friend of our told us about Tanzania Choice Safaris when she heard we were going to Tanzania. That was the easy button for me since I did not have to do any research to find a reputable company. Brenda replied to my e-mail immediately and most of all was with me every step of the way not only helping me to prepare for my trip to Africa but also with safari preparation. I did not shop prices, because I wanted someone I could trust, and I got more than that, so I can't comment on how their prices compare, but I can say she took care of us when the pastor who we were visiting wanted to join the safari with us!

From our initial email and Skype conversations with Tanzania Choice Safaris to each and every detail (large and small) of our trip -- we knew we had signed up with the very best provider out there. We were able to plan well for our safari due to the incredible information Tanzania Choice provided and due to their speedy and thorough responses to our multiple questions. This trip was a big one for us in all ways -- we've never taken 3 weeks vacation; my husband had never been to Africa; and it was the largest investment we've ever made in a trip. In all of the planning stages -- Brenda seemed to be able to anticipate our questions and quell any of our anxieties. In the midst of the trip -- the hospitality and professionalism of Tanzania Choice Safaris ensured that we had the very best experience possible. Brenda and Kakasii really listened to us and heard what was most important to us re: lodging, what we wanted to see, and how we wanted to travel (not luxurious but also not "roughing it."). I've traveled extensively in 27 different countries and worked with and seen the output of a lot of travel planners -- no one tops what I've seen Tanzania Choice Safaris do. The trip they put together exceeded our wildest dreams of what a safari could be and it's clear that they know, understand and love Tanzania. Kakasii was born to be a safari guide. His ability to drive us safely on challenging roads while also spotting all types of wildlife and telling us about local cultures, landscapes and history all at the same time was amazing. Each night we'd overhear other travelers talking about the fact that they really hadn't seen much that day or about how their guide was apathetic (at best) or rude (at the worst). Our experience was the opposite of the many disappointed travelers we talked to. We saw over 105 species of animals and we saw the "big five" easily and in multiple numbers. We wanted to tell everyone we met that for the very best travel and safari experience -- they needed to sign on with Tanzania Choice Safaris. It's clear why Tanzania Choice Safaris has earned the respect of staff at the parks, staff/management at the places we stayed and of their many satisfied travelers--they are simply the best in all categories.
