Best One Day Safari Ever!!
5/5

This was my mother's first trip to Africa and both of our first safari tours, and we had an exceptional time with Bestday Safaris. Despite it being a quick one day tour within the Tarangire National Park, we saw elephants, ostriches, zebras, baboons, giraffes, warthogs, impalas, and water buffaloes to name a few. Stopping at a Maasai village afterwards was and extra special bonus. Louis our guide was very knowledgeable and personable, and Peter was extremely professional, responsive, and friendly. The next time I come back, I'll definitely have to do a longer safari with them, but for our tight schedule it was perfect. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone thinking about doing a safari, you won't regret it.

We had a 4 days Safari with Bestday Safari, everything was very well organized. We had a great guide who assisted us during these 4 days and made sure that we see everything. We visited Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. I have only very good memories and can recommend everyone Bestday Safari

Bucket list: Safari With Bestday Safaris - An Amazing Week!!!
5/5

7 days. A million animals. Amazing food. Fabulous sunsets. Hyenas and elephants sharing the shower. Lions and leopards and cheetahs smiling from the grasses and trees.

For us, it came courtesy of Bestday Safari in Arusha. Peter and his team made every day special. From pickup at Kilimanjaro, to tracking down our lost luggage (lost in Istanbul!) and delivering to us out on safari, to seeing us off as we continued to Zanzibar. An outstanding company.

Of special recognition is our driver/guide, and now friend, Six. He is a gracious man, with excellent knowledge of each park, and many of the animals. He brought guidebooks and binoculars for our use. His sense of humor matched ours nicely. (Lunch on a rock with a puff adder watching? Really? Too much fun.) We definitely recommend others request Six as their guide. We saw Tarangire, Lake Manyara (no longer are there lions in trees), Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.

Yes, we saw the Big 5. An extraordinary sighting of 2 rhinoceros that approached within meters of our jeep.

We have reviewed the lodges/camps separately. Depending on your budget, discuss your preferences with Peter ahead of time. Research each one proposed. But do not miss Katikati 1 in Serengeti!

A wonderful week with a wonderful company/safari operator. Bestday Safaris have our strongest recommendation. Thanks Peter. Thanks Six! Thanks Bestday Safaris!

NOTE: If you desire to visit Maasai boma, plan it as part of first day leaving Arusha. A visit is only about 30 minutes so if you leave Arusha 0800 it fits nicely with first day park. If you wait until later in safari you may find it hard to fit in at the end of a day. You will be tired? Your brain full of amazing animals? Arrange this ahead of time(email) with Peter, as it is normally an extra, at a cost of about 30 USD per person.

Awesome three day private safari
5/5

My wife and I took a three day private safari visiting Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We chose Bestday Safaris as they came highly recommended and we could not be happier with our choice. Peter, the manager of the company, was very helpful from the start with arranging our trip, finding for us the internal flights and optimising our travel time. He gave us plenty of choices about which parks to visit and where to stay and tailored the safari to our wishes. Our guide, Louis, is a true encyclopaedia of wildlife and a master at spotting it. We have seen all the wildlife on our list and then some: lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and others. The accommodations were top notch and the car clean and reliable. We had the best time ever, thank you, Peter & Louis!

Fantastic 4-day private safari
5/5

We did a 4-day private safari with Bestday Safaris in December 2016. We created our own itinerary in terms of the parks we wanted to visit (wanted to spend more time in Serengeti than most safaris offer) and Peter (the owner) has agreed to go with it and booked us lodges to fit with the itinerary.

Peter has been great during the preparation process: replying very promptly to all our queries and giving us very good advice along the way.

We arrived in Arusha in the afternoon and were going to leave for the safari the next morning. Peter came to our hotel for the briefing in the afternoon and then again in the morning, to introduce us to the driver and make sure everything is ok. On our return, Peter met us again and asked us how the safari was.

The safari itself was great. The driver (Six) was very knowledgeable and we had no problem arranging little (yet important) things with him, such as an early start, a short lunch break etc. He was amazing at finding animals, at telling us about their habits and at using his experience to know when to wait for something interesting.

Lodges that Peter booked were great as well.

All in all, a fantastic experience!

Great Safari experience with Bestday
5/5

Just finished a 4 days Safari with Best Day Safaris.
We were a group of 2 – Father (50) and daughter (18)
Overall excellent experience. There are tons of companies organizing safaris so it is hard to compare, but BestDay Safaris is definitely a great one. We did all the booking over mail/Whatsapp with Peter who showed great flexibility to our itinerary and hotels requests. After consulting with him, we agreed to have about 2 days in Serengeti and 1 day in Ngorongoro. We also picked together the hotels in order to have a varied experience (we had 1 night in the KatiKati tented camp, 1 night at the excellent Serena Lodge and 1 last night at the very fancy Neptune lodge.)
We had an experienced and knowledgeable guide (Roman) who catered to all our requests, and was ready to have very long days with us in the field. This included driving the extra distance to take us to the south part of the Serengeti in order to see the first large groups or migrating animals (mainly Zebras and Gnu) returning to the Serengeti. (It was not certain we would see anything there at the time we were there- mid to end Dec., but eventually we saw a huge line of marching animals and many more scattered around- which was a special experience)
Also, as we had a very late night flight on the day returning from the Safari, Peter arranged for us at no extra charge (other than the airport transfer) another driver who took care of us for 6 hours, waited while my daughter had her hair done the Tanzania way with many small braids, and took us to a nice place to eat as we insisted tasting Nyama Choma (BBQ meat with bananas) before leaving.

Bottom line: highly recommended.

Bestday? 100%!
5/5

Truly, the best experience!

My husband and I are both avid travelers, but setting out to find a reliable and communicative safari company in Arusha (from our home in Chicago) was no easy task. There were so many companies and I was anxious about wiring money and uncertain about what trip would be the very best for our honeymoon.

I sent Peter a message and his first response put me at ease. He responded to messages thoughtfully and with lightning speed! Whenever I had a question, no matter how silly, he would send back a detailed response and it usually was waiting in my inbox by morning.

We decided on a 4-night, 5-day safari to Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP and the Ngorogoro Crater. Our guide, Six, was also amazing. He was very friendly and appeared to genuinely love being in the parks and sharing information with us! He also has a big heart and seems to be a very popular guy in the area. We always stopped to share our extra lunch items with Masai children and Six was ready to lend a helping hand to those who need it, i.e. bringing a sweatshirt to a Masai man who was desperately in need of one.

As far as the animals, I couldn’t have been more impressed! I read so many reviews and began feeling concerned that I had very high expectations for our game drives. Whaoooo, was I wrong. We saw all the BIG Five (black rhino from a very far distance) and saw most of them numerous times. We were within touching distance of several male lions, lion cubs, cheetah family, elephant, and giraffe. We saw a rare event in which a hyena managed to kill  a baby hippo and so many other fascinating things. Since returning, all we talk about is when we will be going back.

We also loved that the company is locally owned and operated. These guys really know what they are doing and understand the details far better than any foreign company.

I could go on and on, but send Peter a message and get your Bestday Safari booked now-you won’t be disappointed!

Individual attention and a wonderful experience!
5/5

We felt Godfrey, our driver and guide, was a step ahead of the other drivers. We often arrived before anyone else to view lions, cheetahs or elephants. His knowledge was outstanding. Best Day Safari also offer a personal tour; we had the safari to ourselves!

The perfect trip
5/5

We did the 5-days tour (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro) with BestDay safari and it really was the perfect trip:

- The most important thing first: Peter, the owner, is not only extremely friendly but also takes care of your personal needs. Dullah, our driver, was just the nicest person and taught us a lot about Tansania and its culture. Thanks to Dullah, we saw the "Big 5" as well as so many other species. Peter and Dullah really made the trip special! Also they are both from Arusha and we would always recommend to support a local company (not the big Indian companies that don't pay the employees well).

- The lodges and tented camps were all clean, cosy and something special. The staff was always nice and the food delicious (no stomach problems).

- The parks and animals are for us Europeans just very impressive! It's a once in a lifetime trip, guys :)!

- The people in Tansania are incredibly friendly and the culture very special. We always felt safe!

- All in all, really a perfect trip with good value-for-money!

Absolutely recommendable!
5/5

We had a 3 day safari, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater in October 2016. It was all super organized, although we booked by mail three days previously.
We were picked up early in the morning at the airport by our safari guide and were able to start directly with the safari. The lodges we agreed with Peter by mail. Depending on the budget, he offers appropriate lodges. Our recommendation: Luxury Tended Camp in the Serengeti and Sopa Lodge in Ngorongoro Crater. A bit more expensive but absolutely recommendable.
Bestday Safari is definitely recommendable, thanks again to Peter.
