Great thrills on Safari and hike
We came as a family of four from Israel.
We went on the 5 day Lake Manyara-Serengeti-Ngorongoro Safari in Mid December which turned out to be a great time as there were no crowds and the weather was good.
David arranged everything and the trip went very smoothly. We especially liked our stay at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. Also, the tented camp in Serengeti was a unique experience and is highly recommended.
Our guide Jackson did a great job at finding the wildlife and caring for our needs. We see saw lions hunting, lions eating and even a Cheetah kill. In addition we saw many Giraffes, zebras, some elephants and all the different kinds of antelope. Our impression was that we saw more wildlife than other people we met.
One recommendation is to buy souvenirs in the Tanzanite store and not in the local bazaars on the road which have inflated prices.
We also went on a three day hike to Mount Meru with Kili Slope. Our guide Ishmael and porters were really nice. They knew how to set the pace and to manage the hike which is relatively difficult. Also, the cook made great food. We had to get to the airport right after the hike and the company made sure that the car was waiting for us so that we could make the flight.
We would highly recommend Kili Slopes for your Safari.

9-day tour through Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Natron, Tarangire, and Arusha
Tanzania is a gorgeous country and the destinations we saw were all superb! My husband and I had a private tour. Our favorite part of working with Kili Slopes was by far our guide named Salim. Salim is a young, enthusiastic guide who is very passionate about what he does, truly loves his country and the sights, and has a genuine respect and love for the wildlife. He is also very client-centered, and could read our needs and wants before we even communicated them. We loved every place we stayed at. Kili Slopes had arranged a variety of places for us, from luxury tents and a little bungalow, to very high-end lodges. It was my second time in Tanzania and I personalized an itinerary for us, which Kili Slopes was happy to accomodate. We let them pick the accomodations for us, but I think you can also be involved in that decision making process if you want to.
Of the places we stayed at, Lake Natron is the only one that provided an opportunity to walk around, and we had a Maasai guide whom we found very friendly and helpful. All the other places were mostly Safari by car given the dangerous nature of the animals that live in those parks. My favorite place in Tanzania (and perhaps the world) is Serengeti. Nothing else compares to the vast, endless plains of the Serengeti. Having said that, Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire are both Must-See places.
I highly recommend Kili Slopes for anyone who wishes to get a wide range of Safari experiences all in one trip. I also highly recommend Salim.

Look no further!
I conducted research for weeks, contacting at least 100 safari tour operators over the span of a month and through all the hard work and research - I decided upon Kili Slope led by David. I have absolutely no regrets regarding this decision. The safari went without a hitch day by day. We thank David and Ziggy for this. For more details -- read on!
The price we were provided for the duration and private safari was extremely competitive, David was also very transparent regarding costs and one of the very few who accepted credit card as a method of deposit payment! David worked with us, we wanted Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire in a short time frame. David assured us he would construct an itinerary that worked... and that he did! He made sure our itinerary was custom to our wants and desires not what would be easy for him and his team -- and for that David, I thank you!
We requested mid range and to our surprised David upgraded us to a luxurious accommodation one night in the Serengeti as he was watching the rates and noticed a drop in price for the night we would be there, he booked us an incredible 5* luxurious accommodation -- at NO extra charge for us. This is only one of many examples of the owner at Kili Slope going above and beyond for his customers. ALL the mid range accommodations were amazing, great food, comfortable beds, immediately hot showers, full breakfasts, great views, great lunches to go - amazing dinners, I could go on!
Another example I must share, due to our short safari duration, every minute of our trip counted, on our way to Tarangire, we were to make a credit card payment at the park to proceed (as is expected with anyone going through the park). To my surprise, my financial institution blocked my credit card for use while in Tanzania, my financial institution was closed at the time as Arusha is 8 hours ahead. The time they would open would be in ~3 hours, stressed and frustrated - Ziggy contacted David. David, wanting us to make the most of the time allotted, went to his personal bank and conducted a bank transfer to the national park on our behalf. He did this without being asked by us, he did this on his own. We were then able to proceed immediately. We contacted our bank once opened and our card was finally good to use in Tanzania but David did not want us to bother with paying him back until we completed our safari, he wanted us to enjoy our safari - which we did.
You will not find too many people like David. I believe we lucked out deciding on this tour operator - but this is what research and dedicated time will do for you! We didn't decide to just look at the top 10 tour operators on tripadvisor, we didn't just google search "safari tour operators Tanzania" -- we went digging and found THIS GEM!!!!
The experience was incredible --- we will do another Tanzanian Safari in the future and will LOOK NO FURTHER THAN KILI SLOPE!!!
I could go on and on about how incredible the owner David is, but I need to add that not only was David outstanding, but our guide Ziggy? Out of this world! Please when you do the safari request Ziggy as your guide -- you will be so glad you did. He is a knowledgeable, kind and because we did so much driving, it's important to note he is a SAFE driver! He is extremely professional and punctual -- always early and ready for the day! Because of Ziggy we saw 4 out of the big 5 within a few hours and finally saw the Rhino at Ngorongoro! We saw so many animals, a hunt, so many prides -- all because of Ziggy!
We truly felt at peace with Ziggy present.
Please message me if you have any questions and again if you're looking for a tour operator -- stop your search, look no further and go with Kili slope. You will have ZERO regrets.

Trip of a a lifetime!
David was instrumental in ensuring that every details of our 4 day itinerary was looked after with professionalism. Everything went as planned. Thanks to Our driver Stuart, who was knowledgeable, familiar with the landscape; we saw the big 5. The accomodations were all very good. I Strongly recommend them for your next safari. Asante Sana guys!

Excellent customer service - David was superb!
This operation was truly remarkable from beginning to end. David took extra care to help me with booking the safari across the world. Time difference didn't keep him from great response time. He gave great suggestions for the stay in town and helped my boyfriend who was traveling alone with transportation to and from airports. All in all, we can't wait to go back together. Kili Slope Tours will be our number one choice for all of our tours in the area.
Thank you to David and team for an excellent experience.

Best trip ever!!!
I love nature, and it was my childhood dream to see the various animals (especially the big cats) living on the African savannah in their natural habitat. Now this dream came true thanks to Kili Slope, and I hope I can return to the beautiful Tanzania for another safari in the future.
As a solo traveller, I contacted three safari companies 10 days (!) prior to my flight to Tanzania to enquire about a 7-day mid-range safari (through Tarangire, Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro) on my preferred dates. All three companies replied within a day but I liked Kili Slope's offer the most, because David Maro, the managing director provided me with an authentic 7-day itinerary which I liked a lot. I felt relieved that everything was planned out for me by an expert so I did not have to worry about anything.
When I arrived to Arusha, one of David's representatives picked me up at the airport and transferred me to the Charity Hotel. On the first day, I visited Arusha National Park with Jackson who was my driver and guide of that day. Jackson kindly showed me giraffes, zebras, buffalos, flamingos, monkeys, and we were lucky enough to see Mount Kilimanjaro from a viewpoint. Jackson was very patient while I took photos. I also had a 1-hour walking safari with an armed ranger that day; - I loved the idea of walking a few meters away from the giraffes at the foothills of Mount Meru! An amazing experience.
Then the real adventure started with Simon Juma Salim who was my/our guide/driver for the rest of the week.
On day 2-6, I was supposed to join a group of five but thanks to David, I shared the safari jeep with only one other solo traveller. The three of us, we spent 1 day in Tarangire National Park, 2 days in the Serengeti, and one day in Ngorongoro. On my 7th day I visited Lake Manyara alone with our guide, Simon.
Simon Juma Salim, our guide was brilliant!!! At first the three of us made a decision together what to focus on during the safari, i.e., the great migration or the big cats. Both of us were mainly interested in the big cats, so Simon ensured that we definitely see lions, cheetahs and leopards by driving through their habitat in the Serengeti. Actually, I saw 31 lions, several cheetahs with babies, and a leopard with her baby! Thanks to Simon, I could also meet the Big Five and many many other beautiful animals. I was lucky enough to witness a male lion (and later vultures) eating a buffalo at Lake Manyara, and I could also see a tree climbing lion. Simon himself got very excited when we spotted an animal on the savannah, and Simon even helped me taking photos through binoculars! Simon is very passionate about his job, and he considers Serengeti as his second home. Of course, Simon always shared some interesting facts about the animals and vegetation as well as the different tribes. Simon also shared some stories of his life during lunch and dinner.
Simon is very friendly, kind-hearted and helpful; and his genuine personality contributed that I enjoyed this trip so much.
In relation to the accommodation selected by David, I loved the Serengeti Wildlife Camp (because I could hear hyenas, and lions roaring at night...) and the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge (because of the beautiful views) the most. David via Simon our guide continuously asked for feedback about the accommodation (if I had not been happy with it David would have changed it).
After the safari when we returned to Arusha, David met me because he was interested in my first impressions about the safari. Then David dropped me off at my accommodation as I spent one more day in Arusha. Also, David kindly offered to drop me off at the airport at the following day. David was very professional throughout, and I highly recommend Kili Slope. Asante sana!!!

A safari that truly came to life, thanks to the sincerity of the team and their passion for wildlife
I booked the safari just a few days prior to my arrival in Tanzania and requested just two quotes. The first request got an immediate response from another company that used polished language and cookie-cutter text. My second request was directed at Kili Slope and David responded quickly, apologetically asking for some extra time. Why not? So when I finally received the quote I could see that the itinerary was genuinely put together for me individually, based on the information I had provided, and David’s sincerity shone through. I’m ultimately glad I chose Kili Slope. Such a great team!
Everything went superbly well from start to finish. David showed himself flexible and thought along with me the two times I considered itinerary changes. In the end I stuck to the original plan, but I knew I could have it any way I wanted. The accommodations were comfortable, and sometimes even had a ‘Wow!’ Factor. Also, David personally sees to it that any issues are fixed even if it costs him a lot of personal time!!
Special thanks to our excellent driver Salim, whom I jokingly referred to as our ‘safari manager’. The other single traveler in our small group and I were able to leave all the thinking to him and simply relax and have a great experience. He was very professional and every day he would brief us on the experiences ahead, check in with our preferences and tailor the day’s game drive itinerary accordingly. What really sets him apart however, I think, is his passion for his country, and its nature and animals. Not just a driver to show you the big five (and see them we did!) so you could snap a few pictures and move on, he was eager to share his love for each and every animal, big or small. He explained the animals’ and trees’ characteristics and we had quite a few laughs over what turned out to be some quirky theatrics of nature. The safari truly came to life. I observed other drivers from other operators along the way. They seemed bored, and I believe Salim gave us much more. He calls the Serengeti his home and made us feel welcome.
I definitely recommend Kili Slope!

Awesome tours but poor tour management !
I spent some awesome time when exploring Tanzania. I joined into 2 tours operated by Kili Slopes, Mt. Kilimanjaro tour and Serengeti NP tour.
Im giving only 3 stars because of poor tour management.
+ guides + other personnel were awesome
+ landscapes were memorable
+ tour programmes were cool
Kilimanjaro:
- As a tipping culture not being common in my country, i was totally surprised when i was asked to pay extra 350 USD after my tour as a tip for the guide and personnel. I wasn't given any information about this arrangement beforehand, which annoyed me a lot. Im not definitely denying the staff wouldn't deserve and need the tip usually given, but as me being the only tourist joining the tour and still asked to pay for the normal tipping sum made this situation absurd. Moreover, I imagined the staff being paid enough for a decent income, obviously not. As a compromise, i gave them 100 usd.
- Again, when discussing about the matter of tipping, I was given the feeling by the tour operator, that as a tourist (and a white person ??) I'm supposed to be rich and afford to give away random extra 350 USD ! Oh, I am surely a millionaire, but only in my dreams.
Serengeti:
- My Serengeti tour was awesome, but bit messy. Considering this tour too, i wasn't given enough information beforehand, again including the thing with tipping. Other customers were having some more information, like list of equipment needed, which i never had. What comes to both of my trips, i thought i was having all the information in needed. Well, I didn't (even though asking for every possible information needed couple of times).
- Overall 6 customers attending to this Serengeti tour, and every person was having a different tour program. It was obvious right from the beginning that it would be impossible to coordinate everything. This is why some ppl didn't get what they were looking for - but ill let them to write their reviews on their own behalf, if they wish to do so. ++Our awesome guide Jackson did his best trying to fix it all ! ++

Outstanding service
David was super prompt to respond to my query and immediately customized the trip to accommodate my needs. He was great to deal with. Our tour guide Ziggy was great as well. My parents, aged 74 and 75, had a wonderful time. Ziggy was able to get us to the restrooms when needed, was very well connected with the other tour guides, planned our trip very well and was very punctual. On the last day, I thought I had left my cell phone at the hotel after 30 minutes of descent into Ngorongoro crater early in the morning. I was extremely impressed with Ziggy's resourcefulness - he managed to find the phone number of the lodge through the other tour guides, then got the manager on the phone (recalling he is Indian as are we) directly. When he proposed that we tell the manager to meet with all the morning staff and get the police involved, my brain fog cleared up in a jiffy, and I realized it was in the seat back pocked in the Jeep. We had a great time and I highly recommend Kili Slopes for your safari adventure.

Thank you Kili Slope!
I have booked a 8 nights Safari in Tanzania between Tarangire - Lake Manyara - Lake Natron - Serengeti (north and central) - Ngorongoro - Lake Eyasi.
Since the booking David Maro, the owner of the company, has been really great, customizing the tour following my needs.
Everything was really professional since the first email and the booking process was really smooth.
Being a small company, Kili Slope has great care for their customers: the communication between the booking and the start of the Safari has always been accurate and effective.
Then, when the time for the safari arrived, everything from the beginning was absolutely fantastic!
1. the driver / guide, Jackson, is a safe driver and has great knolwedge of the parks and we were always there at the right time to see the best things: the river crossing by the wildebeest, the lions hunting, the leopard having his food, the cheetah with her babies...
Moreover he was always helpful in explaining things and the dynamics of wildlife
2. the car was really comfortable and clean. Water was provided every day
3. the accomodations were really good, especially the tented camps in the Serengeti
4. the itinerary was well designed, we never had to rush and had enough time to enjoy everything at the right pace
4. David Maro was really kind and wanted to meet me at the start and the end of the tour: this is great customer care!
It was my fifth experience in Africa and i have to admit that this safari in Tanzania was the best of my life.
Kili Slope is a reliable company and i would suggest to book with them over the biggest company in Arusha if you want to have a better customer experience.
