FS do not deliver what promised.They subcontract to the jeep owners who in turn make you a scapegoat
3/5

I had specifically booked in July to see the Migration but was very disappointed that the tour operator just takes your money and then he is sub-contracting to the jeep owner who in turn is only trying to cut on his fuel costs and maximise his profit,so in the bargain you are made a scapegoat.
I had opted for a tented accomodation and had specifically asked for the a picture of theinside of the tent where I was shown a tent with a wooden bed inside.Imagine the shock to see a dirtiest mattress with a torn cover given to me in Serengiti and that too on the floor.One should be honest with what one is promising not cheat. I was also charged more than the others in the group.I will not recommend FS to anybody .There are other more honest and less expensive tour operators.

Dear Raju,
Thank you for this review and sincerely this is our FIRST negative review but i am hereby making it clear as below;
(1) A WOODEN BED IN BASIC CAMPING SAFARI:
We gave you the options for tented camping safari and basic camping safari you chose to book for the basic camping safari (not tented safari). The basic/budget camping safari do not have wooden bed but just only sleeping bags, tent and sleeping mattress. There is no where you said you want to sleep in the tented camp with bed, I hope you understand this clearly.

(2) SERENGETI MIGRATION IN JULY:
Raju, It is well known that July is the best season especially in western Serengeti even here in safaribookings it is mentioned that July is amongst the best months for migration (please click this link to view https://www.safaribookings.com/serengeti/best-time ) but please also note that National parks are not like zoo so the animals can freely move from here to there.

However, i respect your review and thank you very much for taking your time on this.

Great staff, but beware a bargain
3/5

My day trip to Saadani via speedboat from Zanzibar was a wonderful day out, but not without its complications. Abdallah was helpful and communicative from the start, but I had to pay $17 in Tanzanian bank fees to pay a deposit to hold my spot (not the operators’ fault, I appreciate). When the day of the Safari had to change due to adverse weather, the communication and rebooking process was excellent, and they even drove me to a different part of the island afterwards at no extra cost.

My main complaint is that the boat that took us from island to mainland and back was barely seaworthy. I couldn’t believe it when I saw the small size of the vessel, and learned that we had to wade through knee-deep water to disembark (I had asked beforehand if I should wear a swimsuit and was told no so I got my clothes wet!). En route back, the motor actually stopped working and we had to travel back at a very slow pace as a result, taking almost 3 hours instead of 75 mins. It was worrying, to say the least.

The Safari itself was indeed fantastic, and our park guides were very helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English. All in all a great park to visit if like me you only have one day. We saw giraffe, Impala, elephants, many more animals. It was the ideal first Safari experience.
