A wonderful weekend Safari, short on time but big on adventure !
The communication and response times were excellent. I had decided at relatively short notice that I would like to do a weekend Safari whilst in Uganda for work. The Kombi nation team were proactive, informative and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The Safari itself, was a wonderful experience. Starting with the Game Park at Murchison Falls, I had the opportunity to see and experience some of the worlds most beautiful wildlife. We even managed to spot a Lion and a Leopard !
The highlight for me was definitely to be found on day 2 - a river cruise on the Nile to see Hippos, Crocodiles and all of the amazing birds. At the end of the river cruise, the beautiful and powerful Murchison falls.
Isaac - my Kombi Tour Guide was exceptional. Professional, personable and most of a lot of fun and a very safe driver !
I highly recommend any adventure with Kombi Tours.

Our daughter has lived in Uganda 11 years, so we’ve been on lots of good safaris, but this was best.
Our itinerary was clear, our connections were perfect, and our lodging, at each place along the way, was extraordinary. And—oh, yeah—we saw a wide variety of animals, including baby lion cubs and a leopard at night that took our breath away.

Wonderful trip of a lifetime!
My husband and I were part of a large group who travelled together to Uganda - the 3 day safari with kombi tours was part of the trip.
We were picked up at our guest house in Kampala by mini buses and deposited back there 3 days later. From start to finish the 3 days were a real full-on adventure! All the drivers were amazing but particularly Tom and Paddy who drove us personally during the three days. They were all excellent, careful drivers and proved to be very knowledgeable about the animals we were to see during the 2 game drives. I was particularly keen to see the grey crowned crane (featured on the Ugandan flag) and Tom took me straight to it - we were delighted to see a breeding pair with their 2 babies grazing by the lakeside - a real highlight! Other highlights are too numerous to mention but I will never forget standing up in the minibus looking out of the open top at 2 bull elephants not 3 metres away munching on leaves from a tree, appearing to be oblivious to us taking photos. Tom also looked for and found a lion napping in a tree quite a distance away although one of the minibuses had apparently rounded a bend and came upon a pride of lions by the roadside!
As well as the game drives the trip to Murchison falls was such an adventure. The falls are awesome to see, even from a distance but the boat dropped some of us off someway from the base of the falls so we could walk to the top. We were accompanied by a guide although the way was clearly marked. It was a very steep incline in parts with stone steps and there was one steep downhill slope to bring you to the top of the falls. After a very hot walk it was lovely to reach the top and stand on a walkway where we were showered with spray from the falls! The buses met us at the carpark at the top to bring us down and we were welcomed by the drivers who showed a genuine delight that we had achieved our goal of reaching the top.
Our accommodation at the Murchison River lodge was excellent and everything we could have wished for. Food and facilities were very good.
The culmination of our safari adventure was a visit to the Ziwa White rhino sanctuary. This was an amazing experience and we were so lucky to see 5 rhinos grazing together. Being so close to a wild animal was a real privilege which we all appreciated.
Finally, from not really knowing what to expect from our holiday it turned into a trip of a lifetime. This was in no small part due to the marvellous safari we embarked upon - I would certainly recommend kombi tours.
Once in a lifetime trip to a wonderful place.
Excellent drivers - nothing was too much trouble. We saw a vast range of wildlife - and the drivers took care to make sure we all did so. The Lodge was out of this world - amazing attention to detail - we felt we were staying in a film set! Service above and beyond what we could reasonably have expected when one of the party became very ill on the way to the safari.

Nostalgic visit
My husband wanted to visit Uganda where he was born and see some old places from his childhood. Kombi Tours provided advice and a great plan for visiting places in and around Kampala and then for a 3 day safari to Murchison Falls. They provided a detailed plan of expenses, what to expect, travel tips and guidance on all the details needed, it was really helpful. We were met at the airport by our guide Richard who then looked after us so well for the rest of the trip and was a great source of information and advice. We found the places my husband remembered with Richard's patience and tenacity. We loved the Murchison falls trip and the safari camp was in a great location with the park all around us. The hotels they found in Kampala and Entebbe were perfect and like quiet sanctuaries after long days travelling around and very reasonably priced. I would definitely use Kombi Tours again when coming to Uganda and would love Richard as a guide again.

Amazing trip - vegan honeymooners!
We went on a 8 day/7 night tour with Kombi Nation. The best choice we could make. It was not only the less expensive tour, but I'm sure it was the best. We loved every single step, all the staff was amazing with us. Our driver, Muhammad was super friendly and funny. They worked with the lodges and restaurants to accommodate vegan food for us. The lodges were great, and I have no words to say how much we enjoyed our time in Uganda. Really recommend this agency, hope everybody has a chance to hire them!

Awesome!!!!!
The staff were very nice from the beginning. They answered all the questions we had before we joined the 3 days Murchison falls safari tour. During our tour, our driver and tour guide was a great person. Our tour turned so much fun because of him. We are sure to go to other safari tours with them again.

Fabulous tour of primates in Uganda
I recently went on a week-long tour of Uganda primarily to see the monkeys and apes in that country. Everything worked out as expected, each hike was successful in finding the animals, the rangers were all familiar with their area and well-prepared to give information to tourists, and there was time after each hike to rest and relax. The driver/guide, Frank, was always on time, clearly knew his way around the country, was able to point out sights as we travelled, and at least once went out of his way to see a sight we would have missed otherwise. The accommodations were as expected or better at every stop. Even the weather co-operated - it was rainy season but it never rained during a hike.
It was a great trip and I'm so glad I went.
One recommendation: if you are interested in chimpanzees, be sure to book the five-hour habituation hike at Kibale which let's you see so much more of their life than the usual one-hour time allowed.

Awesome Safari through South-West Uganda
My husband and I have just returned from a 7 day luxury safari organised by Kombi Tours. Right from the beginning planning stages Rachel at Kombi Tours was extremely helpful and was able to help us understand what was involved with the tour, which included gorilla and chimp tracking, and what we could expect. And it exceeded all of our expectations and there were no surprises. Rachel provided us with all the information we needed, right down to packing lists, how much spending money we would need and in what currency, and what the tipping guidelines would be. Any questions we had were answered and our emails and phone calls were responded to very quickly. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything on the tour went according to plan. Our driver, Ibra, was friendly, helpful and looked after us so well. Our van was comfortable with lots of leg room and part of the fun of the tour was looking at the beautiful scenery as we drove from lodge to lodge. When I realised that I had booked flights that didn't match with our tour dates, Rachel was able to provide us with choices of additional accommodation and tours which all were all fantastic. We were in great hands. Uganda is a beautiful country and I think we saw pretty much all that it has to offer thanks to Rachel's itinerary. I'd love to be able to do it all again. Thanks Kombi Nation Tours for making our safari the trip of a lifetime! Special shout out to Ibra for his helpfulness in finding the elusive leopards and his great sense of humour.

Very professional company, excellent safari experience
They are very responsive to requests for information. We went back and forth quite a bit refining our itinerary and they were very helpful in finding the right fit for us.
The safari itself was well planned and conducted. We had a comfortable car with a good driver to take us around. Everything went as planned because the logistics of all the tours and overnight locations were figured out by them. The cost of the safari is substantial but it includes accommodation, meals, car and driver, which also seems reasonable.
The safari itself was fantastic. All the trips were well guided by professionals and the wildlife was fantastic. It is amazing that they can pretty much guarantee that you'll get the experience you're looking for-- tracking chimps and gorillas, seeing lions in trees, etc. The best experience is the gorilla tracking... it's a challenging hike but the landscape and the gorillas make up for it.
The countryside drives to and from the destinations are also excellent. We drove from Entebbe to Kibale (for chimps), then QENP (for savanna safari) and then to Bwindi (for gorillas). It's a good way to see the landscape changes and the life of the locals. Overall, the safari was excellent.
