Best tourism agency and tour guide
Zohar is just the most incredible tourism agency in Tanzania. Lilian and her crew will treat you extremely well, they are responsive, kind, gentle and caring all the time, they pay attention to every single detail to make your trip the best memories ever. All the hotels were we stayed as part of the safari package were excellent, the food was super good and a special THANK YOU to our amazing guide, Solomon, who is super kind, patient, cordial and has an immense knowledge about the national parks, animals and the national culture! We learned so much with him!
Zohar even helped us to plan our next destination’s details (Zanzibar), giving us recommendations of tours, etc. We highly recommend Zohar and their team for your vacations in Tanzania, you will not regret! Thank you once again, Lilian, Jackline, Solomon and Zohar’s team!

Amazing Travel Experience
The staff was conscientious and careful to help us coordinate our lodging options. The guide Solomon is professional and guided us to a rare sighting of hyenas hunting zebras. The homemade salad was well received by the group.Zohar is a trustworthy tour operator that you can choose with confidence! I will also recommend it to my friends.

Great experience!
Definitely recommended. Exceeded all expectations. Counselling during planning phase was very helpful, the trip went very smooth without any complications. We could enjoy our safari to the fullest.
And most important, we were able to see everything that Tanzania's wildlife can offer, including lion cubs, a baby leopard and even a baby rhino. We were also lucky to witness the migration of wildebeest through the Mara river.
Our guide Tom worked very hard to get us to see al this and was very knowledgeable. He knew when to be where! Definitely recommended as well.

Amazing, efficient and attentive!
I have dreamed about this trip my entire life and I could not be happier with the outcome!
From the beginning Lilian was very attentive and listened to all our requests. She came up with an itinerary that fulfilled all of our requests.
Once we arrived, it was effortless, the entire Zohar team was available to us to help us with any issues or questions we had.
I don’t know about other companies or guides, but Solomon is amazing!!! He got us to all the animals we wanted to see and then some! I just don’t have enough words to describe how good he is! Not only can he find the animals, he knows them all and can lecture on the biology of each species!!
I hope life gives me the chance to repeat this experience, if it does, I will definitely be calling them again.
Thank you for making this dream a reality!!

Responsive, friendly and organized
My experience with Zohar was outstanding….from the moment we started planning the trip with Lilian she was friendly and attentive….she helped guide us through planning for our trip to make it the very best experience. You never had to worry about anything….the moment you walk off the plane(make it through customs…which was easy) you are met by a professional driver. From that moment on you never have to worry about anything….in Zanzibar we had a gorgeous beach front room after that we started our Safari with Salomon ….he was the incredible and that man knew where the animals were ….we saw every animal on our list and some….the Safari camps we stayed at were very nice and the food was delicious….you have to visit …the people are so kind and happy.
We really researched and found Zohar to be the best value for your money…when you reach out to Lilian she will ask you what you want…..Five Star, in the middle or budget and she builds the trip off your answer. I was so happy with the trip I’m already planning the next one….people say coming to Africa is life changing and I can say “It was”!

Magic of Zohar Safaris
From the start at the airport, Zohar reps received my wife and I as if we were family.
Soloman & Mechek were very welcoming. They took us to our Hotel and on the way explained our intinery for the Safari.
Being the first time in eastern Africa, we didin't know what to expect, especially arriving in the dark of night.
We were very pleasantly surprised by the size, decoration and the comfort, of our suit.
The hotel staff were polite and done everything to make sure we were comfortable.
The first day we stayed at the hotel relaxing after a long flight. After breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes..etc)
We took a trip in a small boat around the lake in the hotel grounds with one of the staff who eplained why the water was so clear,
it being a source from under ground. The birds many colours and sizes.
He found a camillion on a branch amazing same colour of the leaves.
In the afternoon my wife went on a tour of the hotel grounds with a guide 20/30 minutes.
When she retured and she told me her experience I wished I'd gone as well.
DAY 1 :
Soloman picked us up in a jeep large and comfotable. We set off to the first park
Tarangire National Park. We arrived ther and entered the park and there were elephants and Zebras.
We saw monkeys, babboons, ostrichs, water buffalows and giraffs,
DAY 2 :
Manyara natinal park, this park more dense in vegitation so we were lucky Soloman has Hawk eyes
he can see the invisible animals in the bush. Our hotel Manyaras Secret was truly first class we were there for 2 nights.
Zohar made sure of a celebration with personalise bt champage and the staff singing happy birthday. Heart warming.
DAY 3 :
Ngorongoro Crater the paradise for wild animals, they have everything there and don't need to migrate.
We saw 4 of the big 5, thanks to the keen eyes of Soloman.
Hyena, wilderbeast, zebras, rhino, hippos, elephants, water buffalos, birds of many colours and sizes. elephants, lions, giraffs.
The crater was AMAZING hundreds of zebras & wilder-beasts running to the lake.
DAY 4 :
Visiting a Masai village. Their culture made me feel very humble and respectful of thieir customs. I loved talking to them.
The full experience was mind blowing, Zohar really pushed ALL the buttons to give us an unforgettable experience,
lodges and transport and food in the bush.
Lillian your a diamond and your staff are beyond professional.
We will promote you knowing whosoever books with Zohar will get a first class personal experience.
We will return.

Thank you Zohar team for an Unforgettable Experience
Going on a real African safari has been on my bucket list for decades. So, when we finally decided to go ahead with it, I spent a very long time searching for the best possible travel experience contacting and comparing many different companies. Zohar stood out from day one, initially thanks to how both Jacqueline at first and later on Lilian communicated with me. I had a million questions which were always answered promptly and with a lot of patience (as I do tend to go into a lot of detail 😊). This reassured me. Lilian adapted the itinerary to our wishes and did her utmost best to stay within the budget we had fixed for this trip. For every day of the tour, she proposed a selection of lodges to choose from.
We just came back yesterday from our 12 day vacation in Tanzania. The first 6 days were fully organized by Zohar after which we spent 5 nights in Zanzibar. Upon arrival, when we stepped out of the airport our safari guide (Solomon) was there waiting for us. When we got to the car we were presented with refreshing towels and fresh fruit juice. We also received water bottles with our names on to use during the safari.
As we arrived late at night, we had scheduled to take a day to relax and leave on safari on day 2. Both Lilian and Solomon took out time to come and see us in our lodge to give more detailed information and useful tips to make our safari experience as good as possible. I was very happy to be able to meet Lilian in person after having communicated with her by email for so long.
Over the next 4 days we visited Tarangire, Manyara and Ngorongoro National Parks and we also made a cultural village visit (Mto Wa Mbu) and an authentic Masai cultural visit. Solomon was with us every step of the way. He is extremely knowledgeable about nature, animals, local culture and was able to spot the wild life from miles away. He is also a very good and safe driver. We were truly impressed.
Our first game drive (Tarangire) happened to be on my birthday. I never mentioned this but somehow when we arrived at our lodge late afternoon, there was an ice bucket with a bottle of champagne with my name on the label and a card from Zoha waiting for me in our room. As if that was not enough, I also received a birthday cake + sing and dance after dinner by the staff of the lodge.
All along the 6 days Lilian and her team stayed in touch with us through a WhatsApp group that she created a few weeks before our departure. Before our departure Rachel was in touch with us through the group to share valuable tips on what to know and pack for the trip.
We spent our last night not too far from the airport to catch an early flight to Zanzibar the following morning. I really appreciate that Lilian took out time (on a Sunday) to come on see us personally to say goodbye even though she just returned from a very long drive and was really tired.
Conclusion: I never experienced this level of customer service and personal attention anywhere in my life. I have travelled a lot over the years (personal and professional) so I am quite qualified to compare. We will book with Zohar again for sure and I advise anybody reading this review to do the same, you will not regret it.

Tanzania, the great migration and Big 5 ✅
Top of my bucket wish list was to follow the great migration, particularly the Mara River crossing, and seeing the big 5 in the wild.
My son and I recently returned from Tanzania after being guided by Solomon from Zohar African Safaris. Solomon certainly knows his trade, and he answered the many questions fired at him with detail and authority. He is Incredibly knowledgeable not just about all wildlife animals, but also on birds and trees. Solo is clearly a huge lover of the great outdoors, particularly anything around wildlife.
Our personalised agenda took us from a fantastic day in Tarangire National Park, up through Central to North Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. There were too many extra special awesome memories to list, but include very close encounters with adult and baby lions, mother & baby cheetahs (including the mother jumping on our jeep for a better viewpoint), elephants protecting babies, giraffes fighting, wildebeest, zebras & buffalo galore. It was more challenging finding leopards and black Rhino, but Solomon didn't disappoint with two sightings of leopard including one with babies, just a beautiful sight to behold, and several Black Rhino sightings in Ngorongoro Crater. It was such a great pleasure learning from Solomon and generally getting to know him as a person, whom we now consider to be our friend. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Zohar African Safaris to anyone, safari novices like us or seasoned regulars.
We successfully achieved our mission, seeing several spectacular Mara River crossings and the big 5, I really couldn't ask or wish for more.
Zohar also worked into our incredible 7 day itinerary an early morning hot air balloon experience, which was simply stunning and an absolute must-do on your itinerary.
Our sincerest thanks to Lilian for putting together a totally bespoke and very personalised itinerary, including the 6 different camps/lodges, each offering something very unique but always with warm welcomes from such happy friendly porters, staff & chefs, pretty much faultless in my humble opinion. The overall experience far exceeded our hopes and expectations, and particularly Solomon the legend, we will be back for another safari with Zohar soon.
a dream turned reality
Wow, where do I start…
My Dad and I began our tailor made dream safari journey by being picked up by the lovely Zohar reps at the airport and taken to a lovely spot to have refreshments (all pre made by the Zohar chefs and each meal was fantastic and fresh.)
This set the president for the rest of the trip, no stone unturned, every single thing was thought through from start to finish..water and snacks always available in the truck, meals to our preference and all of our requirements constantly met.
Our safari guide for the trip was a gentleman named Solomon (aka Solo the legend) and my oh my does he live up to the title. His knowledge and understanding of everyone animal, plant, tree, insect (literally any living thing) and every single landscape we came across was just incredible, there was no question he didn’t know the answer to and he made sure to always give us all relavent information to where we were.
As well as being an excellent highly skilled safari guide he is also a lovely, kind and caring soul; on the day of the migration it was my girlfriends birthday (who wasn’t on the safari) and I didn’t have wifi so whilst out in the bush he let me use his hotspot to send her a message which saved me a lot of stress! He also shared personal stories with us when we ate dinner together in the evenings which was lovely. I would definitely consider Solomon a friend now after this trip!
I honestly cannot wait to return and have another adventure with Zohar..the sooner the better!
Our guide was phenomenal! Very conscientious, knowledgeable, and excellent at finding animals.
We loved working with Zohar!!! From the first touch points with Lillian and Jackline, we very much appreciated how organized and comprehensive the communication was. They truly do provide a personalized touch, with the ability to modulate the itinerary while staying within our budget. We were so happy with all the thoughtful accommodations. Manyara’s secret and the Signature Serengeti camp were especially divine. We even had little honeymoon touches throughout and felt very celebrated. It was wonderful!!!
All the personalized touches, roses, monogrammed water bottles, the branded wine bottles and branded snacks, all were keenly appreciated. We felt like we had a five star experience. Also, the lunches!!!!!! So fresh and delicious, way better than sandwich boxes. We are very well.
Our guide, Solo, was the best! He was extremely well trained in safari guiding, with an enormous depth of knowledge and history. It was a very professional educational experience. He answered every question in depth, spotted animals from miles away, and was very conscientious when I was feeling unwell and needed to return to the camp. We would 100% go on another tour with Solo. His love for nature and animals was evident in his relentless pursuit of all the animals. 11/10 service, we were very impressed and hope to book with Zohar again!!!
