Great experience from beginning to end.
I did a three day gorilla tracking out of Kampala and it was very easy to plan. Monica was super helpful and responsive. The actual trip itself was great and my guide, Tyson, was the best! Food and accommodation were amazing and there were no surprises along the way, everything was as I was told it would be. I would definitely recommend them!

Office staff and driver treat us kindly that makes us great memory.
Encountet Africa Safari respond our questions quickly and provide necessary information. We could meet gorilla in a short trekking then enjoy watching them.

BEST TRIP EVER
My couple and I contacted last April Encounter Africa Safaris ("EAS") because we wanted to visit Uganda in August and two friends of us went there last year with this tour operator and reccomended them to us.
We booked a three day gorila treeking tour and also we asked them if one of their guides/drivers could join us on our journey (15 days in total). Specifically, we asked for Ambrose, who was the driver who accompanied our friends too.
We are really grateful for all the great job that EAS did for us. Starting with Chris, who works in the office and is almost 24h/7days attending the clients needs (the fact that we received a prompt reply everytime we sent an email, gave us great peace of mind and gives EAS a great added value), and continuing with Ambrose, our friendly driver.
Ambrose is a very responsible and prudent driver who is always happy to help. He took care of us during our whole trip. He also surprised us because he has a deep knowledge of the country, its people, traditions and wild animals, specially birds (I can say that I can hardly remember a name of a bird because of the countless bird species that he showed us). Ambrose is a nature lover and we strongly appreciate his respect towards animals and the whole nature. Be also sure that with Ambrose you will arrive on time everywhere, even if you are not a very punctual person, because he knows how to manage time very carefully.
EAS and its team made it possible for us to remember this trip as an unforgettable one, and to fall in love with Uganda (what a country, no words).
We only have words of thanks and we would highly reccomend it to all those who want to visit this amazing country, which certainly is the pearl of Africa.

Great tour with the Mountain Gorillas.
I would highly recommend Encounter Africa. Our tour guide was really helpful and informative. We really enjoyed our time with him. The lodging and Gorilla trek all came off without a hitch. We had a great time.

Very Nicely Organized Trip with Encounter Africa Safaris
It was very easy to communicate with Encounter Africa Safaris, especially with Patrick. We had to change our plans several times, but Patrick and the Tour were very flexible and helped us arrange the tour exactly to our needs. We were assigned a really great driver, Medard. The service was point on, everything was organized really well. The safari tour was also great. Absolutely would book through Encounter Africa Safaris again.
Uganda Gorilla Trek
Our experience with Encounter Africa Safaris was fantastic! From setting up our trip to see the gorillas in Uganda to our driver to the lodge where we stayed it was top notch across the board! The communication and service was amazing! Thank you for helping make my dream come true to see these amazing animals in person!

Very well organized - from pick up to drop off
I was in Uganda as a solo woman traveller, so timing was very important to me. I was picked up at the airport on time and my driver also called the accommodation where he had to drop me off to make sure everything was okay.
I can recommend using Encounter Africa's services.

A whole lot of fun
We had a great time on safari and our guide John was very accomodating and would stop for us if we wanted to see something or take photos. Communcation with admin was great too as we booked everthing online and via email and they were able to secure us two permits for the gorillas when other companies couldnt. Unfortunately our safari 4WD broke down about 4 times and we had to keep stopping and waiting for repairs but i guess it sort of added to our adventures...maybe a better working 4WD is needed with a good service before the next safari.

Gorilla Tracking in Uganda
The Encounter Africa Safari communicates efficiently when I reached them for the information of the Gorilla Tracking Tour. They provide enough genuine information about the trip, and the service is exactly as described in their e-mail. They provide airport pick up, hotel drop off. The driving to national park takes the whole day, and they can arrange the meals, accommodation and the local guides for the Gorilla tracking.
It is recommended that you should book the Gorilla Tracking trip in advance as there is a restriction on the number of visitors to each Gorilla Family every day. The trip requires good physical ability of hiking, especially for certain families happening to occur in high mountain on the visiting day. It can be labor-demanding to reach them but when you find the silver back family, it is totally worth it.

A wonderful and safe experience with Encounter Africa Safaris.
I had a fantastic 3-day gorilla trek with Encounter Africa Safaris. As a solo female traveler, safety was my first priority; Martin (my driver/guide) made me feel comfortable and did a great job driving the entire 9-hour journey from Nansana to the Bwindi Forest. The gorilla trek itself was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but be warned that the hike is extremely difficult - not for the novice hiker.
