Fantastic experience!
We had a wonderful honeymoon experience with Encounter Africa Safaris. Chris was professional in all correspondence leading up to the trip & put our minds at ease. From the moment we arrived at the airport, everything was exactly as they'd outlined (and better!!). Our guide, Joseph, was knowledgeable, flexible, funny, and great to be around (which is important, since we spent many hours of our trip in the car with him). He made us feel like he was there to give us the best experience possible, and was happy to adapt to any of our preferences. We would absolutely use this company again & recommend to friends. Thank you so much Encounter, especially Chris & Joseph. We will never forget our time in Uganda, it was once in a lifetime!!

Amazing experience!!
We had contact with Chris for planning, he is quick, very responsive and kind. Once all planned we met with Joseph, our driver and guide who made the trip a great experience. I am a bit complicated person myself but Joseph was kind, patient, all the time worried if we were ok and happy. He is easygoing, fun and made the trip so pleasant that we felt like at home. We miss him already, and of course Uganda! Will definitely go back and keep on exploring the country with him!

TV production recce to Uganda
I've worked with Encounter Africa Safaris as local partner for a Dutch TV production. We did the research trip in November 2016. Edson and Torbert did the pre-production and took care of all logistic arrangements, as well as scouting locations/stories/people. It was a well organised research trip and I left the country with enough options to fill 3 episodes, if needed. Tolbert travelled with me during the research trip and was fun the have around. He took care of all the arrangements and was punctual and everything one would expect from a producer/driver. I would strongly recommend them for your visit (business or pleasure) to Uganda.

Comfortable Encounter!
The communication was excellent since I inquired about the tour. They are prompt in response and gave me nothing to worry about. The arrival was excellent even though I arrived at 2 in the morning. Our guide was great throughtout, accomodating every single need. His knowledge was great too, helping us learn a lot more about Uganda and the wildlife it offers.

mostly reliable!!
Doing a gorilla tracking was one of the main reasons travelling to Uganda. The communication with Encounter Africa Safaris was just perfect. Prompt responses to all our questions, very flexible with our wishes, easy online-payment system through credit card and mostly reliable. Die Broadbill Camp in Bwindi which was included in the package was a great place to stay.
We would highly recommend this agency (run by ugandans!!)

Chris always answered emails promptly he organized the trip to deliver my request. All of the trip met and exceeded my expectations. The driver Tolbert was excellent, always on time and helpful. He even did my laundry. He drove his van over rough terrain to shorten my hike. Tour guides were friendly and worked hard to assure that I had an unforgettable experience. Guest house staff became unforgettable friends. They made my stay fantastic.

Superb experience with Encounter Africa in Uganda
We teamed up with Encounter Africa to experience the mountain gorillas, and a few other stops along the way. Our guide for the trip was Patrick, and we had a sensation time and hit gold with Patrick. I would highly recommend them to any person who is thinking about a trip to Uganda. All the details where taken care off, we were briefed every evening with the finer details for the next day, nothing was too much trouble for Patrick even our wacky requests.
