Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar
"Our family of 6 traveled to Kenya and Tanzania for a 12 day Kenya, Tanzania Safari with an extension to Zanzibar two weeks ago.. It was absolutely amazing. Our guide was Hamza in Tanzania and Simon in Kenya .The best guides we have ever had and we have traveled to many countries. There was not one subject that they were not knowledgeable about. He made the trip so memorable. Simon was so flexible and when he picked us up in the mornings to head out, he was talking nonstop to tell us so much about everything we were seeing. There was so much to see in Maasai Mara including the Big 5 and Maasai people. He made sure we saw it all.. He truly has a gift in the touring business, you feel as if your leaving your best friend when the trip is over. When we left Kenya for Tanzania and got to the airport in Arusha, Hamza spotted us before we saw him and of course, we asked him, how did you recognize us? He even went as far as to get the local Laibon to meet us in Ngorongoro . We also enjoyed our stay at Ndutu Camp where the staff had a birthday surprise for our 13 year old son.
Zanzibar was fantastic. We spent three nights at Blue bay beach club and also managed to do some tours in Stone town. Our guide in stone was Musa recommended by Africa Remote Safaris. The night before we left to return home, Musa did our names in Zanzibari Arabic frame, They were beautiful, He showed us a picture of the Presidents Face he had done for the The President of Zanzibar! Amy from Africa Remote Safaris planned our trip and she was amazing, planning everything as he thought we would like based on what I told her. She did an Outstanding job and literally sent our Itineraries by next day in a beautifully done spiral bound personally book for each family that was going on the trip, soooooooo impressed and she even got the guide we requested!!!! I can’t say enough about this trip and Africa Remote Safaris, we will definitely use again!!! We experienced a very different culture in going to Zanzibar(We could have stayed longer) and that’s what we wanted, a Very different exotic trip and thats what we got!!!! Again our accommodations we top notch, staying in the truly authentic Camps and Lodges like four Seasons Serengeti, they were sooooo Luxurious, Plan on taking another suitcase or buying one there because you will buy more things to bring home than any other trip because of all the Handicrafts there, especially in Zanzibar!!!

Maasai mara and Serengeti
Had an absolute amazing time on safari with Africa remote safaris. They were excellent. Got picked up from the airport when we arrived and transferred to very nice accommodation. Travelling through on safari there were no problems at all. Vans and Jeeps were perfect safari viewing vehicles and the guides and cooks were amazing! Extremely impressed by the all round service, would definitely recommend.

Kenya - Tanzania safari report with Africa Remote Safaris.
My Wife and I went on a wonderful Africa Remote Safaris arranged Tour of Kenya and Tanzania this past December. I could say many nice things about the company and certainly the trip we enjoyed. However I must say that there were few instances that we believe the tour operator can certainly improve on. For one thing it was almost impossible to get clear information and instructions from the Agent that I was working with.
For example we arrived in Nairobi at midnight, naturally exhausted after a long plane ride and perhaps a bit more apprehensive since this was our first trip to Africa. Although we were met at the airport with someone holding a board with our names, the airport rep did not have any information on the next days activity.
However we were met on time the following day by Steve who gave us a briefing of about our safari, provided us with maps and other essentials before introducing us to Paul who was to be our guide in Kenya.
We enjoyed our stay at Maasai Mara’s Ol Moran camp and the last night at the Mara river camp. The game drives and guides were well co-ordinated.
On the 4th Day, we experienced some delays at the border, due to immigration rules. I felt that the Agent would have briefed us more about what to expect at the border and the procedures. This would have saved us alot of time.
Having said that I must say that our accommodation were purely outstanding. Africa Remote had recommended Tented Camps and although they were not all 5star, they were all in great locations and really connected with nature. We stayed at the Mbugani tented Camps in Serengeti and were hosted with Maggy. In Ngorongoro we stayed at Rhino Lodge before and Marimboi tented camp in Tarangire. In several of this places we were upgraded which I felt was probably due to Africa Remote.
All in all despite the little hitches in getting information, ours was a great Safari and as a result I have recommended Stafford and his team at Africa Remote Safaris to my friends.

6 days enjoying the kenyan experience
We want to thank you for the wonderful trip we made. Everything was excellent. Paul was of remarkable kindness and an outstanding guide. Thanks to him, we could see many animals. He knew how to even see the invisible. Without him the journey would not have had the same flavor. He speaks perfect French and explained to us the names and habits of all animals. All lodges were impeccable. We preferred the Masai Mara and Samburu for the number and variety of animals. We have only one hurry is to go back. thanks again

did not take us on safari and did not refund our money!
Through www.safaribookings.com , my daughter and I have booked a 5 days Safari (from December, 31st, 2016) that should include Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro (Tanzania) with Africa Remote Safaris: http://africaremotesafaris.com/ . For this we paid an advance of 1200$. We received mails from a so called Naphtally from Africa Remote Safaris confirming our booking.
On December 30th, 2016, we had arrived in Arusha and had still not received any instructions concerning the safari. With the help of the Manager of the hotel where we were staying, we managed to call the Arusha number mentioned on the website and got in touch with a driver who informed us that he had only worked for Africa Remote once. On December 30th, my daughter and I went to bed not knowing whether we would go on safari or not the following day.
In the morning (Dec 31st), we at last received a WhatsApp message from the so called Naphtally indicating that we would be picked up by a driver from another safari operator.
Since ARS had not wired any money to them. We had to pay the full cost of a budget Safari 1800$.
While we were on Safari, ARS wired 440$ to the other Safari operator. This amount was given back to us upon our return by this operator with whom we went on Safari.
Thus, Africa Remote Safari still owed us 760 $. We wrote to them numerous times and once a certain Steve Biko even apologized for the delay and promised that he would soon refund us the money. Almost 2 months later, we still have not heard from him despite our reminders.
It appears that though Africa Remote Safaris claims to have offices in Arusha and Zanzibar, they do not have offices in those places and are only represented in Kenya. The phone numbers mentioned on their sites are only the numbers of drivers who have worked for them occasionally. They also do not have a license to operate in Tanzania and are only represented in Kenya. So if you book with them for a safari in Tanzania all or part of your money may be lost!
We wanted to tell about our experiences with Africa Remote Safaris so that you should avoid a bad and stressful experience on your holiday. They are found directly on (http://africaremotesafaris.com) or through www.safaribookings.com

IMPECABLE SERVICES, INSPITE OF THE WARNINGS!
I found the warning after paying my entire safari and got quite nervous, but I am glad to write that our safari was perfectly organized and delivered.
The predeparture communication was clear and quick; we were given all mobiles associated with whatsapp and I received answers to my many questions.
Nondi, our driver, met us at the airport in Dar at 1am and helped us to buy sim cards and change money.
We met again at 5.30 and drove to the Selous wilderness camp,4 hours, safely and carefully.
The Camp is great, across the Rufiji, 20 minutes away from the Selous gate in a superb location on the river.
Our tent was big with 3 beds and an open air shower.
The staff is lovely and made us feel at home; Freddi, Sifuni, Ludovick and Kenneth were the highlight of our stay.
Food was simply excellent, and we Italians are not easy to please;-)
The jeep sits six, but once we were by ourselves. We stayed 5 nights and did 3 full day game drives. Most people stay 2 nights, but after coming all the way from Roma we wanted to explore the park and enjoy its remoteness.
The Company organized also our flights to Pemba.
I am sorry for those who had a bad experience and I am quite puzzled about it, since in our case all the services were extremely professional. We thank Africa Remote Safaris for a once in a lifetime experience!

Great safari experience in kenya
As a family we are hooked on safaris. To us the issue is to have with the best wild life wild place experience coupled with low tourist density, flexibility in what we want to do and also to know that we are supporting real sustainable eco tourism.
We found this blend at Tanzania Bush camps, booked through Africa Remote Safaris. The experience was special for a number of reasons. The first is the great wildlife
1) No set times to return to your camp
2) there is real engagement with the local community who share in the benefits of the conservancy.
Our friends and us have also used Africa Remote Safaris to book other places as they know what is good and can usually get better prices than going direct. We didn't see a Rhino but I think we saw everything else. Great guides. They knew their birds which was a bonus. Every one was so nice and accommodating, friendly and fun. We were very pampered
A 5 star, memorable trip

Exciting Tour Experience with Africa Remote Safaris
"I have travelled all my life. I've combed much of Europe, from the arctic north in Norway to the streets of Seville in Spain, the beaches of Cannes and Nice in France and the medieval heart of Bologna in Italy. I've been on two African safaris (one tented, one not), both "luxurious." I've been on more than a dozen jaunts to India, some guided, others not. Over the years I have discovered that I had rather be lost and disoriented in a foreign country than submit once again to the unbending schedule of a guided tour. Hence I had given up tours of any kind, until Becky Anderson, an American travel agent, suggested I might want simply to list the places my friends and I wished to see in East Africa then let Africa Remote Safaris make accessing them in an orderly way not only possible but thoroughly enjoyable as well. And this Africa Remote Safaris did. They pulled our disparate destinations together and designed a far, far better route than we could ever have done on our own 4 Days Gorrillas Rwanda 5 Days Kenya 5Days Tanzania. They satisfied all our requests and threw in delicious additions, areas of interest we had never considered or even heard of. Our accommodations were well within our means and wonderful. Our guide and driver, not to mention our 4x4 Landcruiser with Hamza Nyelo. Could not have pleased us more. In other words, thanks to Becky and her recommending African Remote Safaris, we had a sensational holiday."

Great Service! Great Experience!
All our needs and requests were patiently and promptly taken care of by our tour manager Naphtally from day one. We were picked up at Nairobi airport by our guide, John, who took great care of us throughout our 9-day safari trip from Nairobi-Amboseli-Naivasha-Masai Mara-Nairobi. We managed to see all the Big 5! And what fantastic and memorable animal encounters. John was very experienced and knowledgeable so was able to recommend and advise on the best times and areas for sightings so we got the maximum out of our trip.
We would highly recommend Africa Remote Safaris for your East African adventure!
