We do not recommend using Ecobushman, Isaac Ouma and Shelley McCarthy if you go on Safari. We paid $568 per day and stayed in hotels that were filthy, had no water, and unsafely locked us in the hotel with bars. Many of the restaurants we ate at were dodgy at best and many meals were cookies on the road. The car was constantly in the shop which caused us to lose over a week of our 5 week trip. Everywhere we went they had trouble accessing our money so this trip seemed to be a lot of waiting for a lot of money. Isaac and Shelley have said that it’s the roads, the banking and Africa’s imperfections. We have never heard of such calamities with any of our friends that have traveled to Africa. Do yourself a favor and go with one of the many other companies available. Feel free to contact us with any questions. [email protected]

Posted on Nov 28, 2018Thank you for your feedback Stephanie. We do admit there were some issues, however this is to be expected on a 5 week driving safari when crossing many countries in East Africa. Things operate very differently to your lovely comfortable home in America. Prior to the beginning of safari we did mention that the safari is not rigid and due to road conditions may change slightly.
On occasion we did stop at some sub-standard hotels, this was in a bid to relieve you of further driving, though we did offer to change hotels if you were unhappy. You refused. Yes, money can be an issue, when park authorities do not accept cash and their card facilities are having difficulties. Something out of our hands.
We wish you all the best with your future travels and are sincerely sorry you seem to forget all the wonderful experiences you had on this trip with us. We know we won't forget enjoying your company and sharing some incredible animal interactions with you.
